What determined miself to have a blepharoplasty surgery is that my eyelids where fallen so much that the skin was resting on my eyelids. I had reduced vision, watery eyes and many of customers and colleagues asking at all times if I was tired or upset. Unbelievable surgeon with great bedside manner. He takes time with his patients to listen to what they really want and provide just that. He is very realistic with what the outcomes will look like and he doesn't promise things he cannot achieve. He actually creates an image based on your photos that mimics what your procedure result will look like so you have an idea. He knows his stuff, and he will tell you just by looking and feeling the area that you are having surgery on, exactly what he needs to do to give you the results you desire. I had tons of questions and even though he was extremely busy he didn't rush me and he listened to every single one. It was nice to be taken seriously by a medical professional and not come off as someone who is just looking for another pay check. The facilities are state of the art, the nurses are kind and caring and the receptionist Aida is hilarious. Everything went so smoothly and he made sure of that. If there were any concerns they were taken care of before the surgery started and the recovery process was made easy by his professionalism and the rest of the team's skill set. I couldn't imagine going anywhere else for such a life changing experience. I am so happy with his work, and he even told me if I didn't like it, a revision would be free. That to me, is remarkable. He is always extremely responsive via email at all hours of the day, and patients are free to message him whenever they have questions which is so comforting. He is confident in his talents and he under promises and over delivers. I went to many surgeons for consultations and appointments but when I met Dr. Rival, I knew he was right for the job. Thank you for an amazing experience. I would recommend this surgeon to anyone who is picky, critical and hesitant on their procedures, because he will make you feel reassured and at ease, and that to me is worth every penny. 10/10 would recommend.

My experience and results are exceptional. I have my dream nose and confidence like no other. I did not like the size and tip of my pre-op nose, it wasn’t feminine nor symmetrical and had a line down the tip. I was very self conscious and hated my side profile. Dr.Rival was very transparent and forthcoming about managing my expectations and listened to my needs. I put my faith in him, and he exceeded my expectations. The decision to get my nose done was a big one for me. In my teens and 20s I always thought about getting it done, but life happened and I never did. As I approached my late 30s and began losing volume in my face, I feel like my nose became more pronounced and droopy and decided it was time. I went for several consultation elsewhere, however I found Dr. Rival to be the most kind, patient, and informative. Prior to booking my surgery date I had gone to see Dr. Rival a couple of more times just to alleviate some of my worry and to ask further questions. He was always very kind and patient with me and hs office staff were always very accommodating. I had my surgery at Southlake. The OR staff were friendly and reassuring. They walked me through what to expect during the surgery and recovery. I am now 4 months out and I am sooooo happy with my results. It looks so natural, no one has ever asked me whether i got my nose done. my scars are already fading and not really noticeable. I feel like I have been given a nose that I should have had in the first place. I would totally recommend Dr. Rival. I would definitely see him again for the other services he offers. Choosing Dr. Rival was the best decision I could have made. I did a whole lot of research and he is wonderfully qualified. I eventually learned that he also performed a rhinoplasty on a distant cousin of mine with BEAUTIFUL results. I booked a consult and was welcomed and made to feel like I was part of their little family right from the jump. His bedside manner will have you at ease almost immediately. His staff is AMAZING!!! Shout out to Lyne, Shannon, and Franca.They are open to answering any and all questions that you may have without ever making you feel like you're being silly or irrational. Whats the icing on top? Lyne met me half way on her way home to make sure I had the Arnica supplements (you will learn about these eventually if you have not already) considering my work schedule would not allow me enough time to drive to their office before my procedure - I do not have any words to explain how cared for this made me feel. I had my procedure done 1 week ago and my results are already so so beautiful. My recovery was as smooth as it could be, no pain. Not a hint of regret, I am beyond happy and definitely recommend him, but hey! Just book a consult, go out to meet him and his team.. you will NOT be disappointed. So much talent!! p.s. my first consult with a DIFFERENT plastic surgeon had me in my car crying and feeling uglier than when I walked in, so believe me when I say, his bedside manner is unmatched.

the most amazing surgeon out there. you seriously cannot find anyone who treats his patients better. post surgery he made sure to check in every few days to see how i was doing and he made the whole procedure feel extremely comfortable. aside from Dr. Rival himself, the nursing staff at his toronto clinic are beyond phenomenal. due to covid i had to go into the surgery centre alone. as an 18 year old with severe medically induced anxiety, the staff there made me feel more comfortable than ever before. if you’re thinking about getting any sort of cosmetic surgery SEE DR RIVAL

I want to say for anyone looking to have a surgery done with Dr. Rival, you can expect him and his team to make you feel comfortable and confident through the whole process. I had my Septorhinoplasty surgery done five weeks ago. My experience has been amazing starting from the consultation. Dr. Rival explained the process and goal/results of the surgery. Following the surgery, I didn't experience any pain at all, only some discomfort which is expected. As long as you follow the recommendations that help with the healing process, you will have a good recovery and future result. I still have a lot of time to go for the swelling to go down, but so far I'm very happy with the results. Dr. Rival was my first choice, and I made the right choice. His team is so supportive and accommodating. Shout out to Lyne for always being there for me to answer my questions and concerns! Definitely recommend to anyone!

I contacted Dr. Rival's office through email on the website, requesting a consultation for a neck lift. I was contacted the next day to set up a date. Consultation day, I was treated extremely well by the staff ( especially Shannon), as well as Dr. Rival answering all my questions. I especially appreciated his comments about a "very natural look" After given time to think about this procedure, I called and booked my surgery. Now this is when "ALL" the staff shined. exhibiting the most caring, compassionate and quality professionalism in taking care of "me". I believe the anaesthesiologist and the operating nurse are chosen by Dr. Rival for their outstanding care! Believe me I was very nervous, and I was treated so kindly. I could call anytime and was contacted the next day by Dr. Rival himself, to see how I was doing. After my surgery (which went very well) at 2 weeks, the aftercare to remove my stitches once again was outstanding! Shannon (receptionist) is just so friendly and lovely, and then I got to meet kind compassionate Franca Mok RN, who removed my stitches. I am so very pleased with my results. Dr. Rival is a very skilled, experienced surgeon, I highly recommend him. If anyone is considering this type of surgery with Dr. Rival at your consultation, just request neck lift clients pictures, I will personally leave my before and after photos with Shannon.

Dr. Rival did a great job with my rhinoplasty. He was honest in discussions about what he could achieve, and I am very happy with the results. I should have done it decades earlier. The office staff are friendly and professional, and provide excellent support. I didn’t shop around for a cosmetic surgeon. Got my cast off today and I’m already loving how my nose looks, even though it’s swollen and all. I can’t wait to see how it looks fully healed! I live north of Toronto and have been seeing Dr Rival at his Newmarket office for a number of years. I first started seeing him for Botox injections. During this time I had been contemplating getting a face-lift. After much research I realized that I was already with the right surgeon. It's been 5 weeks since my face-lift and so far I am amazed at my recovery and absolutely thrilled with the results! I would like to thank Dr Rival and his team. His staff was so supportive and everyone made me feel so comfortable throughout the entire process. Dr Rival was caring and attentive; he listened and addressed all of my concerns. As a result the outcome has been exactly as I had hoped for. I believe that he is a highly skilled surgeon and I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Dr Rival to anyone. I had breathing issues since early childhood, for as long as I could remember. Severely deviated septum, various seasonal allergies and what I thought were chronic sinus infections (turns out sinus infections were not the issue, instead enlarged turbinates were). I also started to dislike the shape of my nose around age 20, since it changed as I matured and my nose started looking too big for my face, with a bump and big droopy tip. I started to seriously think about having surgery a little over a year ago, mentioned this to my family doctor and she referred me to Dr Rival. I also saw two other plastic surgeons for a consultation. Right away, I liked Dr Rival the most. He seemed very attentive and professional. Other surgeons were saying that my nose will be difficult to operate on and I felt like they weren't sure they could deliver the results I wanted. Dr Rival agreed that there were several complicated issues with my nose that needed to be fixed, but he explained step by step on what he was planning to do. He was the only one who offered to do turbinates reduction, which I'm really glad I did. I showed him A LOT of photos of both what I like and what I don't like when it comes to shapes. This was the one important advice a friend of mine, who also had her nose done with Dr Rival, gave me - to be very specific about your preferences and expectations. I felt like it was a team effort, since Dr Rival would comment on the photos I showed him and suggest what he thought would look good and what was realistic. In the end, he gave me a lot of great advice and I went into the operating room confident that he knows what I'm looking for. I had an operation to correct my deviated septum, refine the tip, reduce the turbinates and also reconstruct the middle part of my nose which had some tissue missing inside. The result is absolutely amazing and beautiful. I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Rival and his attentive staff. My nose looks perfect, it is exactly what I wanted and I love it so much. My nose is now straight, the tip is refined and not droopy anymore, overall my nose is about half the size of what it used to be. My breathing improved dramatically, which I honestly did not expect. I used to blow my nose almost every half an hour, it was always congested. If I slept on my side, only the top side would be breathing. Now I don't have to carry tissues with me anymore. I would 100% recommend this doctor! My main advice, take your time, show lots of photos, explain in detail what you want and what you don't want. It's a huge decision to make but it's so worth it.

This might be a long winded review, but justified as if you are considering a rhinoplasty all the details matter - they did for me. I first learned about nose jobs at the young age of 14 and promised myself I would get one in my 20’s. I gave myself time to grow into my skin and features but by the time I hit 24 I committed to one and started to save and research surgeons. My sisters friend had her nose done by Dr. Richard Rival and I loved her result. I researched his work, and found his case studies on his websites to be amongst the most honest and informative trail of his work. By 25 I had saved most of what I needed for this procedure but unfortunately due to family issues had to put the money into something else. I tabled a rhinoplasty for a few years, and in the interim even tried fillers in my nose and around my face to try and augment the look of my nose. By 2018 I finally began to save again, went for numerous consults and did my due diligence, and a Dr. Rival was the clear choice. I once again looked at his case studies and knew I wanted him as my surgeon. I highly recommend during your research phase to have a look at this section of his website. In addition to this, his bedside manners are wonderful - he is calming and you can immediately tell he is dedicated to his work. He was kind enough to do an initial 3D imaging of what my nose would look like during the first and second consultation. This, I thought was sooo exciting - I had been face tuning my nose on an app for so long and he showed me what was achievable and I loved it! The day of the surgery he comes in to see you and re iterates what you and him had discussed, which was very comforting. I asked him during this meeting if he would take a photo, before and immediately after while I was still out so I could have an accurate feel of what to except while I heal. He was able to do this and sent it to me right away, I cannot tell you how relived/excited/happy I was seeing my before and after when I got home after surgery. It just made the recovery process that much easier - I look at the photo everyday and smile while I am healing. Ive posted this photo down below, it’s also on his Instagram @torontorhinoplasty along with more of his work. Healing was not as bad as I thought it would be, cast came off today and though it’s still swollen - the hump and droopyness are gone :). Dr. Rival thank you for being the surgeon who crossed off a long time goal of mine, I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. I am grateful to have found you and can’t wait to see the final result. Big big shout out to the nurses & anesthesiologist - you guys made me laugh and stroked my hair when I needed the most.
