June 17th Dr mather done surgery for our 16 y.o. son to remove 4 wisdom teeth.$2600 CAD. After surgery Eric was on antibiotics+pain killer. In July our family moved to BC. July 20th 2021 Eric had swollen gum again. We called Dr m and they asked for photo of swollen side.We email it but all what Dr. M said was he couldnt help us but advised to see physician+new antibiotics.It was second course of meds. Sept.27th we had same situation:swollen cheek+pain,called Dr.M asking what to do. This time Dr m said that it would be better if dentist/surgeon look at Eric's problem. Reputable dentist in Kelowna Dr J.Hallett booked appointment for Sept29th. Dr.Hallett did confirm the inflammation&infection presence in wisdom tooth area.Bitewings didnt show any signs of tooth chips or any other particles in the gum.only 3D x-rays (CBCT) revealed clearly that "there were 2 radiopaque fragments in distal of 38 socket(possibly enamel chip from sectioning tooth". After conversation with Dr.H and understanding that surgery is needed for cleaning infected area from debris left by Dr. Mathers, we asked Dr. H about all options.two options were there: "clean up" in BC for $2000 OR return to AB for Dr.m to fix it. We called Dr.M. he agreed to meet with us. We purchased first available flights to YEG, booked surgery for October 14th 2021. This expensive trip was absolutely not budgeted for our family-flights, hotels, meals, car rental. Upon arrival his stuff member said that "it was our choice to move away from Edmonton, and it was our problem that Dr. M could not see Eric".At the appointment nurse said that mother should stay in the hallway and dont not follow my child to see what they are doing, not ask questions and that Dr.m will talk to me later... We already faced a lot of pain (physical,mental + big financial hit) with dr.m practice.No trust left. I presented dr.M with our medical expence associated with Eric's problem caused by poor extraction of his tooth.$522CAD total of 3D x-rays +two times of antibiotics. Dr. M ignored the invoices and was very irritated by questions about 3D x-rays from Dr.H.Numerous times he insisted that there was nothing left in the 38th socket (even looking directly at white spot on xray cbct and stating that it's a little bone) Dr.M also blamed Dr.H in breaching dental practice/dentistry law providing us with x-rays.He said that Dr.H didnot have enough education nor was knowledgeable about anything regarding wisdom teeth removal. Dr.m had asked Eric how he wanted to be treated, put forms in front of me to sign and left the room.During surgery Eric heard sound of small hard object falling into saction and asked what was that. Dr.m said it was pieces of food.How could any food be inside of "freshly" opened socket of 38? If it was food why was it INSIDE just opened socket? After surgery None of medical stuff came out to discuss the surgery nor any advise/instructions were given. Felt like they wanted to get rid of us. We asked if there was any reimbursement for 3d xrays, but receptionist said no. I asked to see doctorM again. He met with me for 5 more minutes and I asked how the surgery went. He said that they opened it up, cleaned up area and there was some food in the socket which caused irritation.I asked for partial coverage of medical expenses we faced (522$) but he aggressively answered NO few times. Dr.M constantly said that "he appreciated" everything we done for our son:appreciated visits to doctors in BC, appreciated time/money we invested into flying into YEG, appreciated our worry regarding surgery.He appreciates, but cannt do anything for us. This DrM has limited time to invest into proper surgery practice, Limited interest to do a good, uncomplicated treatments for clients, but he is happily collecting money from clients who are very trustful at the very weak point in their lives. If Dr. M is only able to do Botox, maybe he should be licenced only for that and don't risk physical+mental health of a young child.

Other than some misunderatandings - Dr Mather, nursing staff & his anesthetist were very professional. So far my son is doing okay. I thank Dr Mather and his team for helping him through the 4 wisdom tooth extractions. ***Was told they would call today and see how my son is doing - no call, not happy with service at all.

There aren't enough amazing things to say about Dr. Mather and his lovely, supportive, and very professional staff. Wow just wow!!! On June 17, 2020 I had a buccal fat pad extraction procedure done by Dr. Mather. The recovery has been SOOOO easy and pain free due to his delicacy, expertise, and tremendous skills. He is truly a very gifted Doctor. Starting from the consultation, all the way to after the procedure, I experienced nothing but the absolute BEST care and 10/10 treatment. I immediately felt VERY comfortable and trusted Dr. Mather's calm, kind, and professional mannerisms. I cannot say enough amazing things honestly. I will MOST DEFINITELY be coming back here for any and ALL of my cosmetic and dental work. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

I Had booked surgery with Dr Mather and was quite nervous as I’d never been under sedation before. Prior to my surgery Kim called a few times to make sure I had picked up my meds, to see if I needed anything and to remind me of what was expected Prior to surgery. The day of my surgery the whole team was incredible. I was brought into the surgery room and the team walked me through the process and really set me at ease. I was so impressed with the outcome and the constant follow up I received. They were there every step of the way. I would recommend Dr.Mather and his team to anyone. I can’t thank Dr.Mather enough for the amazing work he did and for the team he has around him.

I had my first Botox Treatment with Dr. Mather. He was knowledgeable, professional and gentle. I was a bit nervous (I don't love needles) but he put me right at ease. Competitive prices and great service. I noticed a difference within a few days and will definitely choose to see him again!

I had a completely positive experience with Dr. Mather and his staff. They truly are second to none. I had my first experience with facial filler as well as facial fat transfer and CO2 laser. Eliza his assistant was great with communication. Dr. Mather has excellent bedside manner. He is kind, patient and takes the time to explain the procedure and answer questions. I would highly recommend - 5 stars all the way!!

Dr. Mather and his team were amazing !! I would highly recommend him for any procedures you are thinking about. He has a great rapport and took time to explain the process. I participated in an Anti age program and the results were amazing. The clinic itself is very clean and follows all COVID precautions . I was having some dental issues and needed some teeth to be pulled so I was referred to Dr. Mather. I have pretty bad anxiety when it comes to dentistry but Andrew was first class the whole way. He explained what was going to happen, froze me up, and pulled out the bad teeth. I thought it would hurt really bad and be very graphic but it was truly painless and super quick. He made me feel very confortable and even had me laughing afterwards. His staff were great, his office was spotless, and i was in and out really fast. I would highly recommend Dr. Mather for any oral surgury and dental needs. Thanks again:)

I meant it when I said "I will MOST DEFINITELY be coming back here for any and ALL of my cosmetic and dental work" in my last review... and once again I was blown away by Dr. Mather's knowledge, kindness, professionalism and skills! On September 2nd @ 8:00 AM I got Masseter Botox Injections to give my face a more "V shaped" look, and stop me from grinding my teeth. As always, I was kindly greeted at the front desk by 2 lovely clerks and asked to fill out a quick form. (Dr. Mather has the BEST staff I've ever dealt with btw) Afterwards, I was immediately taken to the consultation room where Dr. Mather thoroughly explained everything I needed to know before going forward with the injections, and did an EXCELLENT job answering all of my questions and concerns. It seriously amazes me how gifted and trustworthy he is...I immediately felt comfortable and all my worries disappeared! The injections took him no more than 10 minutes, and I experienced only mild pain/discomfort that disappeared almost instantaneously. It's been a full week now and I haven't had any swelling, bruising or discolouration! I would recommend this procedure and Dr. Mather to everyone!!! On September 1st (the day before my appointment) I got a call from Dr. Mather's office confirming my appointment, and had the utmost pleasure of speaking to a very kind and professional lady named Eliza. She graciously called me the day after my injections (September 3rd) to follow up on my recovery and was SO incredibly kind and personable, which i truly appreciated. Like all of the ladies that work with Dr. Mather, my experience with Eliza was a 10/10! :) I happily look forward to my next appointment with Dr. Mather, as my experiences at his office are nothing but WONDERFUL ones!! I can never ever thank Dr. Mather and his staff enough for all that they have done for me!!
