This is by far the best physio clinic I've been to. I've been coming here for treatment since July 2019. They are very accommodating with early hours and evening appointments. When I first came to the clinic, I saw Dino, then my schedule changed and I started to see Paul. They are both excellent physiotherapists. The switch over was seamless. In other places, they would just hook you up to a machine, let it zap you and leave you. But here, the examination was very thorough, during the treatment the physiotherapist is there with you for the whole time, I have benefited greatly from the manual manipulations and dry needling. My condition is improving thanks to the team. I'd 100% recommend this clinic!

I had Serah as my physiotherapist. After I gave birth I could tell something wasn't right but the drs at the hospital dismissed it as "typical after-labour pains". She diagnosed my symptoms over phone without seeing me. My pain was NOT typical and although it might have possibly healed without intervention, treatment from Serah significantly reduced the time it took to heal and gave me back precious time with my new daughter. I was in so much pain and she was able to help me navigate it with physical therapies and did it cheerfully and gently. Her reception team is also very professional and helpful. I wish she had more availability! But that's really my only "complaint". I highly recommend her!

A year ago I suffered a work related injury and lost sensation in two of my fingers on my dominant hand. Then was told by a doctor at a hospital after a nerve conduction test that I would just have to live with it. There was no treatment for my hand numbness, and would I like more tests to confirm his diagnosis. Luckily I ignored this diagnosis and sought out physiotherapy treatments. What have I got to lose? I started with one therapist (very far from home) then was given a referral to a physiotherapist closer to me. Since I've started with my new therapist (Dino Bertani) at Striowski & Associates Physiotherapy I've seen some rapid improvements. Less numbness, even gaining some sensation back to the bottom of my fingers. My therapist Dino is very skilled with manual manipulation and dry needling. He has a natural born talent for applying just enough pressure to achieve results, is very attentive to your comfort level throughout the treatment, and will verbally tell you what to expect whenever he moves to a new area, so you're not surprised. I am optimistic about fully healing and having full use of my dominant hand again, and he has been honest about setting realistic expectations. It will likely take up to a year (maybe more), but that is excellent news from the previous diagnosis. Kaayla

Email reminders for appointments were sent a few days in advance. I find that to be an optimal timeframe. Sometimes from other places I get appointment reminders weeks in advance and don’t get one closer to the appointment date. This often leads to confusion and possible missed appointments. I went to see Krista Tanner for physio treatment prior to hip replacement surgery two years ago. She was extremely competent and helpful. This year I developed tendon problems in my right wrist and left hand and finger. Both extremely painful. I had cortisone shots in both areas which helped but did not get rid of the problem. As soon as the Covid issue allowed Striowski Physio opened and Krista has been treating me for approximately 3 months. My tendon issues have improved dramatically. Because I was unable to have treatment due to Covid at the onset of the problem my issues were chronic but Krista has been patient and really helped me. The office is run very efficiently and you don't feel rushed. I met my physiotherapist, Denise, online because of Covid. The pre-screen evaluation saved so much time and she was able to assess my issue and start me off on some key exercises. The in-office visits are great - my questions get answered, understand the purpose of the exercise and share any concerns. 100% will continue to choose this clinic! Was recommended by a specialist at North York General. I am so glad we went with them. They really practice hands on treatments and track progress, unlike other places that place vibrating pads on your back for 30 mins and call it a day. Saw Denise many times, very empathetic and understanding of pain. She is also very patient with answering questions and explaining things. Office staff are very friendly with changing appointments and late arrivals. The wait time is also not bad, I don't remember ever waiting until I was frustrated. Amazing, worth the money and the drive there.

I am an NCAA athlete who had been experiencing hip flexor pain over a long period of time resulting from sports participation. It was therefore very important to me to find someone to assess the injury accurately and provide an effective plan to help me to resolve the issue as quickly as possible. I was referred to Striowski & Associates by my family doctor and the initial assessment was scheduled with Lianne. I was cautious about going to a clinic due to Covid, so I must first say that the steps that the clinic has taken to keep everyone protected were very thorough and put me at ease. As to the appointment, I was really impressed with Lianne. She is clearly passionate and very knowledgeable, and spent a lot of time to discuss my issues with me and figure out the exact source of the pain – I didn’t feel like she was watching the clock at all, but was focused entirely on my needs. Based on this session, Lianne created a plan that represented the best approach for me based on my ideal timeline for recovery. After the initial assessment, I scheduled several follow up sessions which were extremely valuable because it provided me with expert analysis from Lianne on how my body was responding to the therapy (dry needling and active resistance stretching) and enabled us to make adjustments and consider different methods to keep my recovery progressing consistently. Lianne’s work with me helped me immensely and put me in a position to continue to increase on the treatment plan and increase the intensity of my training when I returned to school. IN SUMMARY: Lianne is clearly excellent at listening to a patient’s needs and dedicating herself to finding a therapeutic approach to meet the patient’s individual needs. I have worked with a lot of therapists over the course of my athletic career and would recommend her very highly!

Aaron works on Saturday as well so his schedule definitely fits mine. The location and service of this Physio is also very good. It’s easy to access and the Physio is providing the parking voucher so I do not have to pay on the weekends. The staff here is really nice. They also follow COVID rules and have the hand sanitizer at the entrance so no need to worry about that either. Highly recommend this place!

I fractured my wrist severely, and came to this clinic for the physio almost 1 month after the surgery. I have been through more than 12 sessions with Dino Bertiani now. Dino Bertani did an amazing job on my wrist. He is very knowledgeable, absolutely professional, very caring and answers to all the colorful questions I bring up to him very patiently and very thoroughly. I have had an absolutely amazing result at my wrist thank to his help. Mine was a sever fracture, and I am highly thankful for what he did on my wrist. Dino has helped me a lot. I'm doing a lot of things I thought I'd never be able to do. Mobility has improved a lot (an example: unable to sit in chair and pick up something from the floor -- now I can deadlift and squat 50lbs easily, and improving), pain has gotten better, getting more sleep, and it's making my mood better. It's a nice ripple effect. L4/L5 and L5/L1 herniated discs, and a groove in knee that makes my knee tracking difficult. Back pain, sciatica and knee pain is what's brought me here. I've tried many other physiotherapists, microdiscectomy surgery, cortisone injections, radiofrequency ablation, medications that target neuropathic pain, and probably other stuff I cannot remember. Surgery helped me a lot, but disc material was fused to my sciatic nerve, where the surgeon had to tear the nerve a bit to remove the disc material and decompress the nerve. I still had some neuropathic pain and mobility issues after surgery. I tried more physiotherapy with a few physiotherapists after surgery to try and get more help. Although, I avoided a lot of the exercises prescribed, because normally they badly hurt me. I was doing awkward movements to compensate in everyday life which affected my knees and just difficult to do anything that required any sort of bending or squatting. I didn't think I could get back to "moving properly" again and reduce pain much, but Dino managed to get me there. Every penny is worth it for me. Very nice guy as well! He's talked me through moments where I was pretty scared to do specific exercises, that have ended up helping me a lot. It can be terrifying to attempt to get better when you think it's not possible after you've tried so many things, and you only expect to get hurt. I was very skeptical at the start and didn't expect much because I've tried so many things, but I'm very glad I stuck through. He's also compassionate and understands how psychologically difficult it is. Very good motivator to help you get started with recovery. Thanks for the help, Dino. You've improved my quality of life a lot.

I went to see Aaron at Striowski and the recommendation of my surgeon. I had surgery on my wrist in mid July and by mid September (despite seeing a physiotherapist regularly) my surgeon told me that I was not being treated aggressively enough. Boy did things change after seeing Aaron. He was determined to get me better and did everything in his power to do so. He is very analytic but also empathetic and very skilled. I was very motivated as I play a number of sports and given my age (well over 60) I had concerns that I had lost the opportunity to get better. I could not recommend Aaron more highly - he was absolutely wonderful. In addition to being great at his profession he took a real interest in me and involved me in the treatment concepts. I am so happy with the service at the clinic which is very careful with Covid protocols, and especially with Aaron's expertise and compassion for his patients.
