Honestly, I couldn’t be more pleased with my experience at Agile thus far. From the very beginning, Cassie was there to answer all of my questions, and she went above and beyond my expectations by offering some extremely helpful solutions to accommodate my needs. This was wonderful, and I am grateful for this service.
The clinic space is in a newer building on Fort Street near Cook. It’s close to the downtown core, and convenient to a number of busses. What I have seen during my visits is very open and inviting, and I look forward to seeing more of the space with more services in the future. The green colour scheme is very soothing. It gives a very natural, organic feel to the entire space.
I currently go once a week for Pilates with Lisa Erlic. We also do a number of MELT Method techniques in the lessons which have been really beneficial to me. When I first looked into Pilates for my Joint Hypermobility Syndrome, I had no idea what to expect; only that this was a safe way for me to move and build strength. I’d avoided most forms of exercise for a very long time due to a fear of injury from my overly bendy bits. It’s said that Pilates is for everybody and EVERY BODY, and it’s so true! I had no idea when I started my lessons with Lisa just how much I *needed* this in my life! It’s mind and body, and everything in between. I absolutely love this journey, and where we’re headed. Lisa told me once that it’s all me, and that she is just the guide giving me the tools but, I say what good is the journey without a good guide? She focuses on me, and what I need for the lesson, even if it’s something other than what was planned for the day. My mind and body that day are important in what we do, and I love this. Everything she does is for ME…my benefit, and that feels really good. You can clearly see how much she loves what she does. When we’re progressing to new things with my increasing strength and abilities, she just radiates with such joy and excitement. I feel like I won the lottery with Lisa, and the team at Agile.
If you are unsure if Pilates is for you, it is! And Lisa is a wonderful guide for your journey. The Pilates space at Agile is great, and I highly recommend both Agile and Lisa!
