I've been in chronic pain for over thirty years. Before meeting Amy Tao over a year ago, I relied on passive treatment like massage and chiropractic treatment because I was afraid that exercises would aggravate my pain. Amy has changed my perception of physiotherapy has given me a very different experience. She focuses on mind and body connection. She tries to understand how I experience and perceive pain at both the physical and emotional level. She has taught me simple exercises that are manageable and fun to do. I've learnt to move my body in different, creative ways that benefited me immediately. I've learnt to distinguish hurt from harm and felt more confident engaging in exercises I used to avoid.
