GO HERE IF YOU HAVE TMJ ISSUES! Over the years, no one has been able to give me any relief from my super tight jaw muscles. Until I came here....Dr.Ahmed really genuinely cares for his patients. Unlike many other physio places, he spends almost your full hour with you. A lot of times he'll ask me if I'm in a rush because he will go over time so that he can ensure you're getting the treatement you need. Dr. Ahmed is raising the standard of physiotherapy. I'd say he's #1 in Vancouver for his knowledge, professionalism and passion. I don't know where I'd be without these treatments.

This place has a lot to offer, it is mixed of sport club and Dr's office. I went there for my neck pain which got way better after three sessions, thanks to Dr Rezvani and his team. I was struggling with that for more than 5 years. It is not like an ordinary session with 10-20 minutes. They will assist you much more than that if it's necessary.

BE CAREFUL, YOU CAN BE INJURED Hello dear reader, it took a while for me to write a review and I wish I can set less than 1 star for the "treatment" that I've got. I hope this review will be useful for everyone who is looking for help as you will be aware about negative side of this clinic as well as a million of positive reviews (so you can make a correct decision or to accept 50/50 chance to be healed or find better place for your treatment). For a while I had some issue with my knee, I felt pain only during some exercise (squatting, etc) it was hurt a little bit, but not dramatically, because I wasn't sure what cause this pain, I decided to not make it worse and with the help of google found this "amazing" clinic. I was so excited, so many positive reviews, so many happy customers. I hope that majority of reviews are real and I maybe just was unlucky, but I had what I had. So after 1st visit doctor set diagnose (which he thought was correct) and started treatment. Treatment wasn't super relaxing and at some point painful, especially stretching, but I was ok with that as I know that sometimes due to your body issues, pain need to be acceptable in case to make heeling process effective. But the worst happened on 2nd session, doctor decided to do acupuncture on my knee, and he poked me into nerve! Oh my God, how painful it was, I was not able to walk for 1 day and it took for me 1 month to recover. Guess what? Doctor told that it is ok and told me to come again, he convinced me that it is expected and it will be gone soon (he didn't tell me that nerve was injured of course). I was so stupid and continued visiting this hell clinic... My knee start hurting even worse and I wasn't able to walk properly, just imagine, I came with pain only during exercise, but after I was injured so dramatically, pain start impacting my regular life. I told everything to the doctor and he was surprised for some reason and was trying to do some treatments like taping, physio and stretching, but everything was done in super light mode as I felt pain as soon as someone touched area down the knee, so I felt like after 2nd session I hadn't any treatment as everything that was done didn't make my situation better. After 4th visit I gave up and decided to visit other clinic as I wanna walk properly as I always did and can't wait for this doctor to do something worse or do nothing. It was the best decision that I made at that moment, I still asking myself why I haven't done that earlier?? When I came to other doctor and she saw my knee and leg itself, she proved that it was injured and actually she set completely other diagnosis (that really helped me).... It took one more month for my nerve to recover and one more month to complete treatment, now I can walk and do exercises. As a conclusion, in addition to trauma that I've got in Downtown Physio clinic, I lost 400$ on this tortures, haha I paid money to make me feel worse, sounds definitely silly. But now learned my lesson. Please everyone who is reading this comment, think twice before coming to this place, you never know how your "treatment" can be finished. Definitely not recommend this place to anyone. There are tons of much better places in DT area.

But honestly, I was either too cheap or too pig-headed to go to the physio until I had multiple problems, and in a few weeks Ahmed has solved issues with: my shoulder; my foot; and if I do my stretching exercises, my knee. 5 star team.

Mid March, I made an appointment for vertigo that had plagued me for nearly two years. After an assessment by the physiotherapist, it was explained to me what would be involved in the treatment, and that it should resolve the issue. The treatment lasted about 30 minutes with explanations each step of the way. Thirty minutes later, I left without vertigo and have remained vertigo-free. The staff from the receptionist to the physiotherapist were welcoming and answered any questions I had. I was treated professionally and courteously. I would highly recommend Downtown Physiotherapy and Health. Should I have other issues, I'll be returning.

Went in for a climbing tendon injury and received treatment over the course of a couple months where I saw great improvement in my injury. Very nice staff, I will definitely be coming back next year for treatment on my scoliosis. One note of warning: keep an eye on your benefits coverage as they might not do that for you. In my case I ended up having to pay in full for my final session.

I absolutely adore this physiotherapist, Dr. Ahmad Rezvani I think his name is? I work in animation and am pretty young but never had good posture or wrist health until I came here. He’s genuinely the only physio/chiropractor that has done anything for me...! They used ICT(?) machine on me + straightened my spine nicely and we went through a few weeks of learning exercises to help strengthen my back/wrists to prevent injury. I want them to get more business because I’ve honestly never seen any other practitioners with this much care + knowledge about multiple fields (eg. intramuscular stimulation needles too) I joked that Dr. Rezvani is like this age’s ibn-Sina and I am so happy he understood me. ????but seriously I can’t believe how lucky I was to find this clinic. I also come here for my family doctor who practices in the same building and he’s been so caring too. 5/5 hope this place lasts and everyone takes the rest they deserve!!

At first, I was treated with the help of Dr. Faezeh Eftekhari who helped me to recover like an angel. After that, I would like to move on to Dr. Ahmad Rezvani, a kind, witty and kind friend who, by providing a pleasant and relaxing environment, will create a lot of enthusiasm and enthusiasm to be among these friends and the severity of the tortures that are like the prisoners at Guantanamo Bay. I was suffering from Vertigo on and off for a few week and it wasn’t going away with rest and seemed to be getting worse, it started to affect my job. I searched for vestibular rehab and found the clinic close to where I live. I had several sessions with Ed and he was fantastic, he explained more to me than any Dr did. He kept me relaxed, distracted me with humour and conversations while having the sessions which can be quite scary when your suffering from vertigo. I started to feel better after my first visit and he gave me the contact number for his orther clinic in North van in case I needed to see him the next day. When my symptoms returned slightly after a few days he was quick to offer an appointment straight away or see me when it was convenient for me. I continued the treatments and also followed a suggestion to see the acupuncture specialist at the clinic and see if it helps my sleeping etc while trying to get better, all the staff are so friendly and welcoming. I can’t recommend them enough and I will happily go back for any other issues I may get in the future. I have been symptom free now for weeks.

Visited this place as I was experiencing knee pain at times. Ahmed Rizvani attended me and did a routine check and diagnosed a MCL sprain. Has 5 courses of therapy which sometimes included acupuncture as well. Knee feels a lot better however not completely recovered, doc says, might take more time for complete recovery. Staff is extremely nice.

I dont recommend this place. I went to order orthotics for my foot pain. They said my extended health wont cover the gaitscan which they advertise for free on their website. They instead pressed my foot in foam and supposedly ordered the orthotics. They also recommended physiotherapy session for my feet so I went for a few 90 min sessions. The first time they did electrotherapy, acupuncture and taped my feet. Each subsequent session was shorter than 90 min the last one being only 20 min electrotherapy then sent me packing. Twice the equipment wasnt working and they had to keep trying different pieces. I have a feeling the gaitscan wasn't working eaither and that is why they didn't use it but I have no proof of that. At any rate I stopped going after being shorted on what i paid for and the seemingly non serviced equipment. And to top it off the orthotics never actually came in. I ordered them in Nov 11, 2015 and they never called me back now its Feb 2016 over 3 months later. I will get my orthotics and physiotherapy somewhere else from now on.

Came in for treatment of a sports-related shoulder injury (first apointment); the doctor sat with me for 10 mins to ask questions, after which he developed a treatment plan. Over the next 1.5 hours, I received a targeted massage, laser acupuncture, ultrasound, and physical training exercises (among other things). The approach was very well-rounded and I appreciated the extra time they spent with me. I did not feel rushed whatsoever (which is common with many physio appointments I have had). On mid April 2017 went to see Physiotherapist Ahmad Resvani, I have pain on my left leg and left arm. Dr Ahmad made about 10 minutes full assessment and about 30 minutes Physio treatment. Best place to get rid of your sport injuries. Lots of Hands On Rehabilitation. In one session you'll get all the necessary treatments including modalities, exercises, IMS and acupuncture. If you suffer from sport injuries, I strongly advise Ed who is really skillful and knowledgeable. They accept most insurance companies. (ICBC,MSP,WCB,...)

Just had my appt with Ahmed (Ed) and with a few simple stretches (that killed mind you) he was able to alleviate my Trochanteric Bursitis pain and pain in my right knee. In October 2017 I have had suffered this occurring problem called Plantar Fasciitis. I felt pain in my right heel and often most intense with the first step of the day, at night, and after a full day of standing. Before this, I never faced any pain issues to limit a very busy schedule. Going for a therapy of any kind was not something that I was looking forward to but because of the persistent pain which reduces my mobility push myself to find a physiotherapist. Thankfully, my friend has referred me to Ahmad Rezvani Downtown Health and Physiotherapy for my frequently recurring pain on my right heel that has had difficulties resolving in the past. Ahmad was very explicit and let me know my problems right there. Each week, then biweekly treatment, he thoroughly assessed my condition, and he did great manual massage that targeted absolutely what was needed to be done. He assigned simple exercises, ultrasound, massage and taping as well. Within two months improvement was remarkable, and now the pain is gone!!! Thank you so much, Ahmad for your excellent treatment, a healer, and a very professional physiotherapist. A very passionate and caring group is the main picture I can explain from this team. From the moment you enter, the reception ladies are very supportive and friendly. They help you pick the best time and therapist for you. The clinic is always clean and anything required for your treatment is available. My physiotherapist was Reza Nematollahi. He was always patient with my injury, and cared about my progress to being back on track. Step by step, they advance your treatment and one day you see you are way ahead of the recovery timeline. Took my teenage daughter who was suffering from a severe ankle sprain from soccer. We were concerned since it was slow to recover and she was struggling to put weight on it as it was the second time injured this year. Our first visit Ahmad reviewed and asked a lot of questions as he tested it, he then did some work on the ankle and ended with an ultrasound session, taped her ankle and gave us some follow up things to do when we got home. By the next visit she was able to walk with limited pain. Two more sessions and a few stretch and strengthening lessons and she is feeling great and happy we took the time to go to a Physiotherapy. It was my daughters first time to a physiotherapist and Ahmad did a great job at putting her at ease and listening to her feedback to really help her be comfortable as he worked her through the injury. The info he shared on things we can do to strengthen her ankle will come in handy to prepare as we head into another full sport season coming this fall.

The person at the reception was extremely rude and unprofessional. He ignored me and kept glaring at me like I was doing something wrong. He did not greet me or acknowledged the fact that was there. Maybe this place is only provide service for returning clients and not the community. Really disappointed and will not recommend this place. Walk-in are not welcome, SO do not bother.

I had a very good first session with Doctor Rezvani, over recent months my right calf muscle has tightened and knotted. He suggested acupuncture with electro therapy for the muscle, which was new to me and felt like it did some good. This was followed by a set of exercises and one particular stretch to my hamstring/calf which had me in a mixture of euphoria and agony. After this the muscle had definitely loosened and I felt much better. One session is not enough though, over christmas I was away and its tightened again, I'll be going back for more sessions when I know what my schedule is like in the new year. Whether this is the long term solution remains to be seen but certainly short term this has helped.
