I don't even want to give one star. Terrible experience. My fiance was a patient of Dr. Tatzle his entire life - 30 years. Within a three year span, my fiance was involved in a pedestrian hit and run, where he suffered extensive injuries - and then fell ill with brain cancer. Not only did Dr. Tatzel fail to inform my fiance of a surgery that could repair nerve damage causing his 'drop foot', he also misdiagnosed his brain cancer/tumor even while presenting clear brain tumor symptoms, and failed to send off a referral for an MRI - TWICE. It would take DAYS for us just to get through to the office to schedule an appointment - and when we did get through, there wasn't an appointment available until MONTHS from the day we called. When requesting an EMERGENCY appointment, they would advise that they would return our call later that day with an appointment day/time - however, we were the ones chasing them and playing phone tag as they would fail to even call us back. I won't even get started on the 5 to 6 hour wait times in his office, that are predicted and warned by the receptionist when booking months prior.
Finally when my fiance received an MRI - that we had to go get from the Emergency room - and was diagnosed with his brain tumor - Tatzel took it upon himself to call the family after receiving a copy of the MRI to notify us that the tumor 'looked to be an easy removal, and nothing seriously threatening'. Imagine our disappointment when we were advised otherwise, by an actual neurosurgeon - the tumor was in a severely dangerous location, was not at all easy to remove, and was basically killing him. Maybe Tatzel should stick with his general practice, and not delve into an area of specialty that he is not educated on?
Now, we have obtained a NEW family doctor for my fiance. However, its been months since we have been able to even book an appointment with his new family doctor, because Tatzel's office seems to be ignoring the request of records from his new family doctor, not answering their phone, and not returning our calls. And this is only the half of it. As far as I'm concerned, he is a terrible doctor - no matter how thorough he is with chit-chatting with his patients. My fiance still suffers from issues due to injuries he obtained after being struck by a truck, as well as post-surgery/radiation symptoms and issues from his brain cancer and brain-tumor removal. It's pretty important he see a doctor. Apparently, Tatzel and his team think otherwise? And speaking of his team, whichever receptionist we always had the pleasure of dealing with, is extremely rude.
