I see the main qualities of the staff being that they are knowledgeable, empathetic, and efficient. From day 1 that I arrived here, I saw that the physiotherapists provide a comprehensive assessment, a thorough analysis, and appropriate education to their clients. All of this leads to the development and implementation of a well tailored treatment plan. Treatment plans typically involve education, manual therapy, exercise, and therapeutic modalities (for example, ultrasound and tens). Together, the physiotherapists, kinesiologists, physiotherapy assistants, and administrative support staff provide a high quality service in a dynamic environment. I recommend this location for a wide variety of injuries (muscle strains, ligament sprains, post-operative care, concussion, etc.) and conditions (osteoarthritis, rheumatic conditions).

I started coming here because my knees hurt, which I thought was caused by overuse at the beginning of the pandemic (stress-relief running anybody?)... After my initial session, Mark suspected it was more because of my working-from-home ergonomics. A month of weekly sessions and some home stretching exercises confirmed his suspicions! Great communication by the whole team. And the star of the show Mark is by far the best physiotherapist I've had treat me (which is saying alot since I'm an athlete that participates in high injury sports and have lots of experience with recovery). He genuinely listens and is very thoughtful in his treatment approach. He explains what he is doing and why he is doing it in a way that is easy to understand. He will adjust his treatment based on how you are responding. Basically, he truly wants you to get better. Pro physio is the only bright side of getting injured.

Incredibly kind and customer-oriented staff who help with stiff muscles (whether it be from injury or improper use over time). I went there for back and leg tension and they not only helped me with the muscle pain, they've also made it so I look forward to each visit. Only things to keep in mind is that afternoons are busiest and it can be up to 4 people per room with curtains for privacy. They also have a gym, shockwave therapy, and heat pads.

While I must say I experience much pain at my appointments treatments do seem to be working. Leenesh is always checking to see how I feel before during and after treatments. He explains what treatments he is doing and why. He is honest. I didn't get my problem overnight and it won't go away quickly. When things are getting better he has to go deeper or move to another part of my body. He respects privacy and always asks for permission. I love that this location works as a team. I had a sprained ankle that turned to be really bad. I was very tempted to go to physio because I didn't have a good experience with another physio before. However, coming to this physio is one of the best decision I have made. Everybody at this physio is very nice. The lady at the reception is very friendly and kind. I've been coming here on and off for several years and have good things to say about the clinic. Leenesh is my current physio therapist and he has been treating various injuries of mine that are related to the knee and ankle. He has not only focused on taking away my pain but also on strengthening my muscles. I can honestly say that I have noticed a difference in things like walking on an uneven sidewalk. It's work and may take time with all the exercises that Leenesh gives me but he seems to genuinely think about both your immediate and long-term future. Another bonus is that Leenesh is qualified to perform acupuncture! I realize that some might not like needles but that was one of my criteria’s that brought me here!

I was in two car accidents and thought I would have major chronic back pain from the top to the bottom of my spine throughout most of the day for my entire life. Then I went to Pro Physio and Sport Medicine. Just after three sessions with Mark, I am feeling relief and more mobility in my shoulder. I am hopeful that I will regain my strength and be back to my activities at my regular intensity before I know it! Highly recommend this physio clinic!!

I had a great experience with Mark at Pro Physio, he was very knowledgeable and was able to Diagnose me properly the first time. I had previously gone to other physio’s who had misdiagnosed me and just sent me home with some exercises to do. Even though I live in the west end, I go downtown to this clinic because they have the best staff! For massage therapy and/or ostheo, Andreanne is a miracle worker! My hip has been out for quite a while (prolonged by COVID) and I have gotten used to being in pain all the time. But after 2 visits with Andreanne, I am amazed at how much better I feel! So if you are in pain, don't delay going to get help because of COVID. The clinic is open and has very strict COVID procedures. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff! They even have virtual appointments for people who don't feel comfortable going in person.

I've been doing physio here for the past few weeks with Theo Calligeris for my lower back, and it's been an awesome experience. He explains everything he does in a way that's easy to understand, and is also super friendly and attentive. The receptionist is also very nice and tries her best. I've seen her run after customers that just left to make sure they claimed their free parking.

Leenesh and his team are phenomenal. Over the course of two years, I had three very different injuries - chronic headaches stemming from an issue in my upper back, a second degree tear in my MCL, and shin splints stemming from a lower back problem - all of which Leenesh diagnosed and treated with expertise and efficiency. This is my second time getting treated at this establishment. Both times I was nothing but impressed with the treatment plan and how willing they were to help with my financial situation. About 3 years ago I came to the clinic sceptical but in desperate need of help. At this point I had gone to 5 different physiotherapy clinics both in and outside of Ottawa and was horribly disappointed after every visit as they not only weren't helping, but I was always in more pain following the appointments. When I started going to Pro Physio 3 years ago I was an OHIP assisted patient (meaning I had no private coverage nor the ability to pay out of pocket) and while they were limited to the one area for treatment and one visit a week (OHIP only covers one area and a limited amount of visits) the staff were very helpful and effective. They made sure I was healing properly while teaching a wide variety of things I could do on my own to help the healing and strengthening process. Now I have returned to the clinic having received an invasive shoulder stabilization surgery. I have now been seeing Alex on a weekly basis for over 2 months. She is very friendly and professional. She has made such an incredible difference in my healing process and while the sessions tend to cause a fair bit of discomfort (as is to be expected recovering from shoulder surgery) I am always happy to go and leave feeling ten times better than when I walked in. Aside from Alex, there is a full staff of highly qualified, friendly individuals who seem to genuinely want to help in your treatment and make sure you enjoy your visit. I recommend this clinic and specifically Alex for anyone who is in need of treatment. They are very accommodating and after years of frustration trying to find someone who could help, they have never disappointed.

My first review was accidentally placed here instead of the grocery store I was reviewing. This of course is a physio place for treatment of injuries. I find that they are very very good at identifying physical problems and modifying an exercise regime so I can carry out the exercises and recover my strength and functionality.

This is the first negative google review that I have ever written. This started out as a 5 star experience. I injured my leg and wrote the Pro Physio company. They responded quickly and we sorted out a time. The staff asked me if I could move up my appointment, which I confirmed that I could do and showed up on time (early, in fact). I then proceeded to wait for 25 minutes (i.e. 20 minutes past my appointment start time) with no direction from the staff or the physio, until I finally indicated that I was leaving. When I did indicate that I was leaving, the physio's first reaction was to say that I hadn't been waiting that long. Not to apologize. Not even to explain the reason for the delay. To be clear, this may be a communication issue: perhaps something urgent had arisen, etc. But no effort was made to communicate this to me. Respecting people involves respecting their time and, at a minimum, making an effort to communicate if something arises.
