I have been a patient of the Ottawa Physiotherapy & Sport Clinic in Orléans since 2012. Over those years, physiotherapist Catherine Lamothe has helped me through various running injuries and other biomechanical issues. Her understanding of the dynamics of the human body never fails to impress me. Her depth of experience and specialized skills get to the root of the problem and gets me to the other side of the pain. She listens to me, and recognizes that it can be hard to remember the various exercises she suggests. So, what could be better than her stick-figure instructions? The atmosphere in the clinic is upbeat and cheerful, and it made the necessary changes to meet COVID protocols. The staff is friendly, helpful and compassionate.

Amélie is a true professional and I would not hesitate to recommend her. She is dedicated and compassionate and makes herself available for questions you may have regarding your treatment. She gave me confidence and encouragement to do my follow-up exercises at home. I will see her when I feel like I need a “booster”! I would also have it be known that the clinic has an open concept approach that makes it feel very healthy and normal and positive to be working on one’s self. At the beginning of my treatment I was so discouraged but Peter put on some music I liked and Luca assured me I would get better and they made me believe I was where I needed to be. It is my go to place from now on.

These guys saved my quality of life forever. After going to a few different physiotherapists, I found this team and the quality of care was not even close. They took their time to ensure I got the proper treatment I desired instead of rushing me out after 1-hour sessions like other clinics. I was pleasantly surprised with Ottawa Physiotherapy & Sport Clinics for my custom orthotic. First, they were able to happily accommodate me last minute right before Christmas and when I got there I noticed the staff / customer interactions to be extremely laid back and friendly. Good vibes which is so refreshing. Then I had Mathew the owner to do my assessment and found him to be a wealth of credible knowledge based on my own individual research and experience with orthotics. I've had my orthotics for over a week now and am really happy with them. I would highly unreservedly recommend them and already have.

When I approached the clinic, I had some difficulty functioning properly. Getting up in the morning was painful, had problem putting my socks, getting down the stairs and I had to sit almost right away to avoid more pain in my right hip. The first session, I explained in details, my multiple malaises and a young physiotherapist prepared some exercises for me to do. Allan, to mentioned is name adapted his knowledge to my situation by giving me the proper exercices to do. What I mean is some exercices were difficult to do and he did not hesitate to changed them for a different one. It took sometimes 3 different positions for me to do the exercice properly without pain and beneficial for my hip. I should mention that I am over 75 years old and not as flexible as I used to be. I just came back from Sicily where my wife and I walked in between 7 to 10 KMS everyday without any kind of pain.
