I have been receiving treatment through this LifeMark location for about 18 months, after being in a serious car accident two years ago. My initial experience was less than satisfactory (as in 2 stars), as the physiotherapist I was assigned to cancelled several appointments, only to end up leaving the clinic before I had any kind of treatment plan in place. When I was in for my last massage therapy appointment, I complained about my situation to Andrew (one of the massage therapists I've received excellent treatment from at this clinic) and he suggested I speak to the clinic's manager about getting an extension through my insurer. I am so glad I did: after getting a thorough reassessment from their new physiotherapist, Shabir Muhammad, I was approved for (and continue to receive) further treatments. Working with Shabir has more than made up for my initial bad experience: he has been attentive, very knowledgeable and patient with his explanations, and takes a holistic approach in coming up with a treatment plan that addresses my accident injuries (bad whiplash) while considering my other health concerns (arthritis). Everyone else I've dealt with at the clinic has been pleasant and professional, and I've also been very impressed with the hygene and safety measures they've taken since reopening after lockdown.

Conveniently located right next to Bay Station, the physiotherapist I have been seeing, Dr. Ahmad Dhooma, is professional, warm, and friendly and takes the time to explain the reasoning behind the treatments he performs and the exercises he suggests I do. The staff at the front desk are professional and courteous. Booking is easy either online or by calling the front desk. Overall I'd definitely recommend this location!

Few months ago, i broke my elbow and was told by my surgeon to start going to physiotherapy 2 weeks after my surgery. I chose lifemark due to all the glowing reviews i saw online. After reviewing my x-ray, my physiotherapist decided my sessions should be as gentle as possible to let the bone heal and never contacted my surgeon for advice. I later learned, for elbow joint injury, early movement is critical for recovery. After 3 weeks at this clinic, i went for a check up with my surgeon who immediately told me to change my physiotherapist and that my sessions will need to be aggressive in order to compensate for the lost 3 weeks i spent at lifemark. Its been half a year now since the surgery and my elbow is still stiff without full range of motion. I am afraid this will be permanent and really wish my lifemark took the time to contact my surgeon to understand proper physiotherapy procedure for my case instead of relying on his judgement. Because of the wasted first 3 weeks (which is the most critical for elbow joint recovery) i fear i will never get my full range of motion back.

Muhammad Shabir has been the greatest help since my MVA. I'm currently in Physiotherapy, Massage, and Occupational therapy at Lifemark. I highly recommend Shabir as a physiotherapist. He's run point on my treatment and truly believes in treating the full person. I feel better about myself, mind and body after each appointment. I started treatment late after my accident due to a traumatic brain injury. Since beginning treatment, my daily pain has dramatically decreased and mobility increased. Lifemark's staff are friendly, professional and personable which has made every appointment easy. The reception staff have made a confusing time easy to navigate. Insurance paperwork can be confusing and the staff here make it feel simple with their personal touch. I especially appreciate the appointment reminders! Or if there is ever a schedule change they're always sure to give you advanced notice and reminders.

Katarzyna (Katherine) was one of the most knowledgeable and effective physiotherapists I've been treated by. I went to her for complex physiotherapy due to pain in my hip flexors, adductors and pelvic region due to a previous injury and overuse from cycling and strength training. Katherine immediately identified the sources of my pain and showed me how to properly strengthen and dynamically stretch the affected regions as well as how to breathe more efficiently in order to relax those areas and activate my transverse abdominus which was a key part of my recovery. I had to come here for physio and massage therapy after an accident, the therapists working with me demonstrated that they actually care for my wellbeing and overall recovery. They are very respectful of your level of comfort and careful to ensure you get proper treatment. The space itself is super clean and fresh. Receptionists are always ready to answer any questions and make a point of working appointments around your availability. The therapists are always on time (the longest I ever had to wait was approx two minutes). The environment is overall professional but also extremely friendly. One thing to note: the building itself is right above the subway line and you can hear the train pass when on the main floor and in the elevator but once you actually step into the Lifemark office, you don’t hear or feel anything at all.

My first visit to this clinic was in 2007. Since then, I have returned several times for treatment. The quality of service provided has been consistently excellent. The physiotherapists are very knowledgeable and friendly. They have helped me cope and recover from my injuries a few times. Without the help provided by the caring physiotherapists at Lifemark Sport Medicine, I doubt I would have recovered so quickly. Thank you Gargi and Ahmad for getting me back on track after my recent injury.

For years, I had minor discomfort in my right shoulder. I was resigned to living with the issue but was referred to Ahmad Dhooma at Lifemark. He instantly diagnosed the issue and, in only 3 or 4 sessions, was able to reduce the discomfort and significantly improve my range of motion. He also thoroughly explained the issues that I was experiencing using a visual app which helped me understand exactly what was going on in my shoulder. My only regret is that I did not meet him sooner! I would recommend Ahmad and his team to anyone seeking physiotherapy.

I have been going to Lifemark for a few months now during the pandemic for a MVA I experienced in 2019. I was introduced to this clinic since my previous one had permanently closed. I have enjoyed all of my treatments at this location with Vanessa (RMT) and Shabir (Physio). Shabir is very knowledgeable and prescribes me with helpful exercises to do. He is very kind and welcoming, and after his care I always feel less stiff with improved range of motion for everyday activities. I also see Vanessa for massage therapy. I feel very comfortable with her and we work together to identify areas that need more attention. Usually I see her after my Physio appointments and I leave feeling more relaxed and less sore. Vanessa and Shabir share their expertise with me when I ask questions. They are both mindful of my profession and lifestyle when guiding me through exercises or providing me with tips to help with mobility. I recommend both Shabir and Vanessa for treatments! I’d also like to add that I feel very safe seeking care despite Covid-19. Appropriate screening, PPE, social distancing and cleaning of therapy rooms are exemplary at this location.

I was treated for neck pain at Lifemark on Bay by the chiropractor, Dr. Grosman, who I later found out is also the new Clinic Director. Dr. Grosman was very thorough in his assessment of my neck pain and explained everything as he did it, which helped put me at ease. The treatment itself was extremely effective and he also provided me with exercises to do at home, as well as ergonomic advice for my home workstation. The front desk staff were very kind and the booking process was efficient. Needless to say I was very satisfied with my visit and will certainly be returning in the future. I highly recommend Dr. Grosman and the Lifemark on Bay clinic!

I was referred to this clinic for unspecified mechanical back pain. I was very skeptical about what physiotherapy could do to resolve this pain, as I workout regularly and did not feel that the cause of this pain was related to any of my workouts. I was first referred to Ahmed. Ahmed was very professional and took his time with me, taking a thorough patient history and listening to my input. Rather than telling me "This is what you have", he listened to me and worked with me to identify the issue listening to what I had to say. He then told me what he thought I had and we worked out a game plan to treat it. Ahmed demonstrated a series of core building exercises and referred me to a massage therapist, Andrew, who together, worked to help me with this back pain. Within three weeks, the back pain had resolved almost completely! I am thankful that my family doctor referred me to this clinic, and specifically with Ahmed and Andrew. I think the thing I appreciated about the both of them was that they took the time to listen to what I had to say and then tell me their thoughts and we worked together to resolve the issue, rather than force an opinion onto me without hearing my input first. Both were very professional and I have no problem recommending either one at this clinic. Most importantly, I didn't require any pain medication (though the back pain at times was quite debilitating before treatment), and this saved me from weeks of grogginess. I was able to get back to my regular workout routine within three weeks of seeing them. Great place, great staff, highly recommended!
