We offer you all the opinions of real people like you who used the products and services of Bay College Medical & Lockwood Diagnostic (Physiotherapist) in North Bay (Canada).
As of day the business gets a rating of 2.4 stars over 5 and this rating was based on 127 reviews.
You must have seen that it has an average rating is really weak, and it's founded on a large number of scores, so we may be quite sure that the assessment is quite credible. If people have bothered to value when they are satisfied with the service, it works.
You know that we don't usually stop to set feddbacks when they are correct and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or incidence...
This Physiotherapist belongs to the category of Medical clinic.
The nurses don't seem to be very smart and they're very reluctant to offer any help. I've overheard doctors sneering at senior citizens and upsetting them, then coming out to the nurses station and laughing about it. Never coming back to this place. 4 visits too many.
Terrible experience at this clinic - my walk-in doctor was extremely condescending, unprofessional, shaming, and did not care to assist me in any way. I walked away feeling more helpless than when I came in. Unfortunately, I don't remember his name (though I really wish I did for the sake of others), but I haven't been back since.
Visited the walk in clinic through referral and was very pleasantly surprised! The staff are very friendly, and the doctor I saw Dr. Ramji was very patient and knowledgeable! I was seen in a very timely manner and had my issues looked at. I would definitely recommend this place!
I've been here multiple times and the administrative staff are quite unfriendly. They are rude and not very helpful. The set up of having a nurse assess you and then have a doctor do the same thing is quite frankly a waste of time. This clinic needs work.
CURRENTLY NOT ACCEPTING WALKINS
Dr.Faraj was ok. Receptionist was accommodating. However, 3 days after, the MD said the radiologist has not looked at the the results of the x-ray, yet. We came here to make sure there was no fracture as the signs were unclear if it was just soft tissue injury. 3days after without any word from the radiologist, the MD decided to read it himself. If you're thinking of coming here to save time scheduling with your family MD or avoid the houra-long wait at the ER, you're better off in the ER. At least you don't have to keep calling or coming back days after and you get a definite result and not have to settle with something less because the results are not reviewed in time.
Please dont go to this clinic. The doctors dont care about you and for them its just a business. Especially, Dr. Lei. Useless. Kick him out. This guy doesn't know anything. I think he is not a real doctor. No wonder why it got 2 ratings. There are plenty of clinics in toronto. Pls visit other clinic. This clinic is just money making. Staff n doctors dont know what they are doing. Somebody will sue this clinic very soon.
For some reason, it’s not allowed for the husband to be with his wife during the ultrasound exam
Very rude staff not helpful at all. Nurses are so moody and rude also. Doctors are somewhat okay. The staff in this place needs to get changed as soon as possible.
Four generations of my family have been going to Lockwood Clinic since Dr . Lockwood started it. It has moved several locations over the years but quality of service has remained . Very pleased . Funny how most of the bad reviews are traced back to one IP address . Someone is making false reviews, which is considered fraud. For those who say people walked in and got seen before they did it's probably because they made an appointment. You can request an appointment for a walk in by going online.
Wonderful experience with this clinic. Booked an appointment to speak to a doctor for a phone consultation. Appreciate the ease of it being virtual especially during this time. They were friendly, kind and helped me address my issue. No complaints.
Having made an appointment with Lockwood from out of town based on positive word of mouth back home, Dr Ramji referred me to a specialist that really stood out from the rest (Save a few awesome receptionists, you men and ladies rock under pressure!) Dr Lowe was amazingly helpful in making sure that I found my way around the clinic initially, and provided more than just his extra time interviewing, he was very detailed with testing referrals and making sure I was fully aware of the Travel Grant for Northern ON residents. 3 days + 3 days, should be done. If it wasn't for the gap in appointments and having to go back to Toronto in a week it would have 5 stars ! P.S. Does everyone in Toronto have to pay 23$/yr to keep/view their blood work results online? Really?
Avoid Dr. Lei AT ALL COST. He's been rude to ALL patients since I first saw him in 2006. In September 2015, I had to get my TB skin test done and asked for the size of the induration (test result) on the document, he said he doesn't do it and "he doesn't care", these are his exact words. I'm a medical student now, he makes a perfect example of what all medical students should strive not to become of.
Saw a review about Dr. Lei on another website and it accurately represents my feeling: "Horrible. He was not helpful, and worse than that he was rude and insulting. I left feeling mistreated and extremely sad."
After having a bad experience at the women's college hospital, the staff here were absolutely lovely. I felt very comfortable talking to them and not judged. I also went during a busy time on a Friday but still got to see a doctor within an hour
Today my wife and I went to the walking clinic to check the result of an earlier test and the doctor was like "I don't know" for every single question that we asked. I really wanted to tell the doctor that what are you then? why should you even be here? The doctor even didn't bother to look something up to help. What I learned from this place after a few visit is that I wouldn't recommend any body to visit them. We wanted to use the Bathroom and it was very dirty and when I asked the staff to provide tissue, they gave it to me and asked me to take it myself to the Bathroom. Really poor quality and low-level professionalism. I am very sorry that such health clinics can exist.
Went for a post-surgical follow-up to see Dr. Neera Singal regarding the success of my cross-link surgery. Everything went well. A very good surgeon and doctor. Highly recommended!
I was told to come back on a Wednesday after a swab test. They didn't have my results till then. I had to come back three times to check and was told that the sample never got to the testing center. They never answer their calls which is extremely annoying. Doctors are not informative.
I visited this clinic twice. On both occasions the doctors were neither pleasant nor informative. On my most recent visit I had to do test for my sore throat. The doctor said he would call me in a few days to give me the result. I never got a call back and when I went to the clinic to pick up my results I was told I have to pay to see a doctor in order to get access to my results. At no other clinic am I required to pay to see a doctor to get my results. The clinic also refuses to give results over the phone or via email. I would not recommend going to this clinic.
I’ve been going to this clinic and seeing Dr. Kara for over 15 years now. Dr. Kara and the entire staff have been so great, especially Helen. I highly recommend this clinic.
If you have a choice, do not go to Dr. Lei. He might be professional (but i doubt it now reading others' reviews) but he lacks basic empathy to suffering patients. He will tell you your impaired work ability is not his problem and suggest you should come earlier. And he is too arrogant to listen to your reasons, situations and considerations. I appreciate his sense of responsibility that students cannot avoid their workload but he lacks his sense of empathy and is unable to distinguish students from intentionally skipping assignments and students normally reaching for help.
Just tried the online appointment system last night to book a time for this morning. Got a text msg confirmation as promised on the website and saw the doctor at the said time. Everything was very efficient. Pharmacy staff were very kind and knowledgeable too.
Had to wait for over two hours since I cant make any appointment. Worse is, ppl who are the family doctors' patient got first priority. When I finally got checked, the doctor seemed very uninterested with my concern. I was coughing blood and worried sick that I caught something serious (yes, maybe I overreacted). But as a doctor I believe it's necessary to show empathy to your patients. He said I was fine but told me i can always get an Xray done if I wish since I appeared unsure. What kind of doctor said that really.
This is slower than ER. Go to an urgent care centre or ER. Urgent care usually are open day and late night. If you come here, you’re fostering the worst practice in Canadian healthcare.
I went on a wednesday (mid-morning) and I was in and out, with my prescription filled, within 30 min. The doctor and staff on site were kind, courtious and efficient!
Came here to check in but seems they just ignoring me. Thank you for the service
Better not waste your time. Doctors are inexperienced, poor listeners and in rush (means they don’t give patient due time).
Super friendly staff and doctor. Pretty fast.
Wish I could give zero star. The phone service is extremely unfriendly to the first time user. I spent my whole morning waiting by the phone but can’t reach out either to the doctor or the clinic. After it passed my appointment time, I tried to call the clinic and it was answered by recordings, no real person, not even a voicemail box. I am busy.
I'm surprised by all the negative reviews. I've been visiting this clinic for 3 years now and have found it acceptable. The wait depends on the day of the week and time you go. It's usually not more than 20 minutes or so outside of work hours. The lab opens early (7am) too which means you can get tests done and out of the way before work if needed.
I have liked most of the appointments here, the staff are friendly with the exception of one technician who wanted my husband to wait until the end of our potentially 2 hour 19 week anatomy scan to find out the gender of the baby and that the baby was ok. The centre have implemented new rules too which I had to sign off on stating no photos or videos are to be taken and family must wait until the end of the appointment. As my family are all abroad, I wanted my husband at my side for the entirety of all of my appointments and not for him wait until the end. I have never heard a friend say that this is how their family is treated during their pregnancy scans in Toronto. So we had a disappointing experience at such an exciting time. I did argue for my husband to be there but the lady did a one minute show and tell and then basically kicked him out. I know she was trying to do her job but for a first time mum at such an exciting time, he wasn't treated respectfully and I couldn't see the screen or saw much of my baby again more than maybe 30 seconds. Now I wait 13 weeks to see my baby again...
My first experience was terrible. The doctor was called Calvin Lei. He does not listen properly and is always making judgements early. I went to see him when I fell sick. He would not investigate into what the problem is, instead told me that I am fine and to Tylenol if I feel anything. What kind of a doctor is this guy? Absolutely horrible. Now I see Dr Z. Kara who is a very nice human being and you can tell that he cares for his patients. It's cause of him that I keep on going back to this clinic. Other than that I think the clinic is pretty decent and convenient. Usually it is always packed. Atleast in the mornings.
Dr Lei is the worst doctor anyone could see. He is so rude and disrespectful and honestly I feel he shouldn’t be a doctor with such bad bed side manners. He is not reassuring nor kind. He makes it seem like you’re wasting your time when he is the one getting paid. Worst Worst doctor. Would definitely not recommend seeing him even if it’s for a flu shot.
Conveyor belt medicine. Clinic could be better organized and staff attitudes improved for a better environment. Some of the staff forget that without the patient they would not have a job.
My boyfriend was experiencing an uncomfortable pain in his abdomen while on vacation, his family doctor referred him to a specialist at this clinic. Dr. Chadlaker was amazing. Within two weeks she had an endoscopy booked for him so we could get to the root of the problem quickly. She encouraged him to follow a specific diet and if any flare ups occurred, she advised him on what to do. Thanks Dr. C!
I've been a patient of Doctor Nevin since the 90's. He was a thoughtful doctor who at my request always discussed dietary solutions for non-emergency treatment before hastily writing a prescription. That kept me healthy for decades. The clinic is a great one-stop place for many tests and specialists. Unfortunately, Dr. Nevin just retired and will be missed. I am not sure about continuing as a walk-in just yet, or search for a family doctor.
Dr. Calvin Lei evil evil doctor!!! AVOID HIM!!! Do yourself a huge favor and stay away from that doctor! He has nor expertise nether compassion. the absolute worst doctors i ever been to. Because of him i almost died! Because He couldn't figure out what was my pain about and told me i had mental issues, when in fact i had very serious medical condition!!!
Dr Kara and his staff are outstanding. I've been receiving health care from this clinic since I moved to Toronto and I'll never switch. Wait times are indicative of our health care system, but the quality of care, the time taken to properly diagnose, treat, and care for my physical and mental health are all excellent.
Had to get a TB test done. It's not covered by OHIP so I checked the website and they said they charged $30 to do it. When I got there they wanted $104 with no explanation other than an unsympathetic receptionist saying "Yeah, the website is wrong..." Yeah, maybe fix that before you spend your money advertising your website on google. PS Anyone know where I can get a TB test done?
Great front desk staff: Dr. Rafael Faraj is terrific! (If he's been off the other Doctors I've seen have been good.)
Front desk people's attitude is so bad...
Busy place but Dr. Stern is fast and thorough. Went in for bronchitis. Was there no longer than 30 minutes to get some throat gargle and some antibiotics.
Avoid Dr.Lei at all cost, he does not deserve the doctor degree. Worst doctor I have ever seen in my life. He does not care about his patient, he would just care abt his own logic. Went in to get a doctor referral he spent long time to assume I am cheating to obtain a note??? And was being treated as a criminal. The visit has made my situation worse, and thanks to him, I will never go back to that clinic ever.
Dr Nevin did the initial on me years ago and then referred to others for my issues. Never met another doc like dr Nevin. Most incredible man ever. In I believe was his second year with MS. In a wheel chair doing what a doctor should do. Such an amazing man. When I left there it was with a better life ahead of me. Within hours I had totally changed from what I was when I went in. I was so amazed. Thank you to the staff and the doctors for their great hospitality.
Front desk receptionist was rude and not audible when answering my questions. Wait time however was reasonable and Doctor was helpful
The receptionists are very rude
It was the worse walkin clinic, they called it walkin clinic but you will be waiting for 10 hours. I don’t know why they called it walkin clinic while people with appointments will walk right in and those walkins have to wait for hourssss
Worst clinic. Authorities pls do something! The staff was clueless and rude plus the doctor was incompetent, play safe when give their so called "consultation". My son already got a fever for a week, but she said was "normal, will get better naturally" without givinng prescription. Pls, is this what we call first world country? with the clueless medical staff? this is my first and last time experience at this incompetent clinic.period.
For all I know Dr. Calvin Lei's practice lisence shoud have been suspended so many times by now. Why is such a terrible, unknowledgable, rude, unprofessional and uneducated doctor still working there making effortless money???????? Who's responsible!?
Dr. Ramji was a bit short and kept interrupting me however was thorough and very helpful. Appointment booking staff and receptionist both extremely polite, knowledgable and helpful. Staff at the imaging lab including tech and reception very polite and professional. Exceeded my expectations. So many different specialists available in one place.
Seemed decent enough at the beginning. When I first went there I was assigned a doctor to whom I had to yell at to have anything done and was treating me as if I was a hypochondriac and once I got the MRI I had been requesting for months, he finally saw that there had been something going one. Then I was assigned a doctor that seemed to care, ended up becoming a petite of his and every time I come in with a worrying matter it's always blood work and Pap test and nothing more. I JUST found out that tests I had performed were never sent to him and were lost since 2018!!! And of course they even lost the tests I did in July too. So I wonder if the ultrasound I took in 2017 were ever looked at, since they don't call you if things look good instead of taking further steps, even though things are not right. They do the minimum necessary or wait until things get to the no return point, I injured my wrist and now I have to live with it (can't even hold a cast iron pan without pain anymore), cause instead of referring an Xray and MRI he directly sent me to a physiotherapist just cause I was not crying in pain while moving it, though I told him my pain threshold is pretty high. I have always been very healthy and barely ever in my life needed to see a doctor, but when I need one they would actually do something, here I always feel like I am treated like a faker and am being dismissed. I am currently looking for another clinic, but in Ontario is like looking for a needle in. a hay stack
very awful clinic. no respect for patient confidentiality, i had to do my appointment over the phone in the waiting room where several other strangers could hear me. furthermore, i wasnt told that i would be doing that— i was just told to wait in the waiting room then got the call from the doctor saying this was the appointment. i was not comfortable disclosing that much personal info near so many people i didn’t know. EDIT: i can’t reply to their response but notice how they didn’t address the fact that nobody told me i could take the phone call anywhere, and i wasn’t even told it would be over the phone, therefore forcing me to take it in the waiting room since i didn’t know that was going to happen at all.
Super unorganized, very confusing when you walk in; all admin staff were on their phones and no one directed us where to go or line up. Booked an online appointment for 1:20, waited OVER AN HOUR AND A HALF to see someone. Absolutely ridiculous wait time, would not recommend this walk-in clinic to anyone.
I go to the University of Toronto and I love how close it is to campus. I’ve had to run to the walk-in on my break and managed to get seen in between classes, with time to spare.
Wait 3 hrs to get told to drink soup. Yah i can be a dr too, you guys' are shmucks.
Great first time experience. Dr. Daya was absolutely lovely and very thorough in making sure that I understood the reasoning behind her suggestions. Admin and nurses were all very helpful and kind. Definitely would recommend.
Worst experience. Specially from Dr. Lei - I had to weeks forever for my referral to a fracture clinic, and that's after I called them to know about the delay.
All of them helping my familly for years... Thank you.
Met with Dr. Stern today. Explained everything to me. It was very quick, efficient, and was a pleasure. Highly recommend.
Had an appointment with Calvin Lei, most incompetent doctor I've met. Said he would fax over my prescription, but when I got to my pharmacy, the pharmacist said he never got anything. I called the receptionist and they had me waiting around 45 mins just to tell me the doctor never prescribed my meds. Wasted my time for nothing.
Compared to other walk-in clinics in Toronto, this is by far one of the best for the simple reason that they offer appointment booking online. Over the past few times I’ve been there, I never had to wait more than 10-15 mins. The doctor will not prescribe antibiotics for everything and anything which I actually appreciate.
After over ten years at this clinic, I have lost all hope in the staff. Notifying someone of the prospect of cancer 9 months following the results, is unexceptionable! Giving a heart patient medication that could kill them.. where's the accountability?
I've been there 4 times in the past month now, this clinic is quick, clean and everyone there are super friendly and helpful! You can book walk-ins online, which is another plus!
Giving one star to the nurse who can’t do injections well. Suffered 4 days for the pain.
I feel like a waste of time after seeing dr. Lei. He has no sympathy, rude and is so unprofessional. He literarily did nothing with my symptoms and said I have mental illness and when I asked if I should see a psychologist he questioned me lol. Like make up your mind doctor!! You diagnosed me with mental illness and gave no solutions to my problem??!! Please do yourself a favour and avoid him guys!!! I would give 0 star if I could but too bad Google does not let me post with no stars.
Worst experience with a medical "professional" ever. "Dr" Lo literally told me my experiences were not valid, lyme disease does not exist, there is no treatment, it is all just an American money grab... you know dispite the fact i know people dying from it. He clambered that no one would look at my symtoms and this is all a waste of time and money. That the doctors took my base blood results and they cane back fine so there is nothing wrong. After waiting months to get in here. He was condescending and insulting because i was frustrated (not yelling or agressive just agitated just sighing and rolling my eyes) and kicked me out of his office. Even though he asked the same questions 5 times but didn't have the time to quickly review my symptoms. He stated my symptoms and emotions are not valid and there is nothing i can do except address a couple of the symptoms. Meanwhile i have flareups where it takes minutes to remember my name, i have fainted and had injuries, and have had extreme difficulties walking and that's just the tip. Hypocratic oath means nothing to these doctors... and before i became ill i was studying biochemistry of nutrition, so im not even a completely layman on the subject of medicine. Never in my life has a doctor treated me less like a person and more like an object... abhorrent and disgusting behaviour. This place is a waste of time and energy. Go to a place where the doctors actually have a tinat tiny bit of respect and sympathy.
Need to wait at least hour and 40 min~ 2hours for nothing. I hope there was no star option.
Wait times are at least 2 hours. First you wait in the general area. Then you wait in the hall way. Then you wait in the doctors office, who won't ask any questions and just send you on your way in 30 seconds.
All the staff here are extremely polite and welcoming and the doctors are friendly and I've never felt rushed. I've booked appts on line for the walk in clinic and hardly have to wait even 5 minutes to get in to see the doctor. Great clinic!
Worse clinic ever, unfriendly receptionist and terrible doctor. I went there for a TB test and was told it's positive knowing that I was vaccinated twice against TB. The test was clearly a false positive and now I have to do it again somewhere else where doctors are more knowledgeable !!!!! I Almost lost my job because of them, if you do this for your employment NEVER GO THERE! There's another clinic on the 5th floor of the same building, much better than that one.
Dr.L is the worst doctor I have never seen before. So terrible!
The hours of operation are listed as 8:00am to 8:00pm. I arrive at 7:45pm and was promptly told to return tomorrow as they were closed and no longer accepting patients. This was right after I witnessed the woman at the front desk serve the gentleman in front of me. All I asked was to get my wrist checked out for a potential fracture, yet I was still turned away. IF you close at 7:45pm, then please do the community a favour and don't tell us other wise.
Ever since ive come to canada as a student, started working, had issues updating my health card, this place has always been there for me. I would like to wholeheartedly thank this clinic.
Came in for a walk-in due to excruciating left ear pain. Called ahead of time and asked if they take walk-ins and they said yes but the wait is a bit long. I was happy to be informed about that and decided to come anyways. Checked into front desk and they called me in within 20 minutes of waiting, not bad. My doctor was Dr. Charlene Antony. She came across as very kind, understanding and compassionate and listened to me as I told her what the issue was. She checked both my ears and identified that the issue was pressure to my left ear drum so referred me to an ear specialist. I was out within 5 minutes. Pretty efficient and I was lucky to get a good doctor. She was a definite pleasure to be a patient of. ????
I walked in the clinic a couple of times and have seen 5 doctors. Of these doctors, Dr. Shahid is my favourate because he is always thorough and with patience. Dr. Kara and Dr. Ramji are experienced but too quick (I have difficulties in English, so I don’t dare to ask many questions if they were busy). I saw both Dr. Faraj and Dr. lei once for more prescription, and they are nice but I cannot judge more. Waiting is necessary if you do not have an appointment but you can usually get in in 30 minutes.
Crazy stuff, There is no credibility.
This clinic prescribed me with completely different medication from what I was suggested from the Toronto General hospital emergency service, as the former prescribed me with antibiotics and latter with simple spray. I get confused... So I went back to the general hospital, the doc who diagnosed me told me that I don’t need antibiotics .... who should I trust....
DR. LEI — THE WORST DOCTOR EVER. I have never met a more rude and disrespectful human being, especially in the field of medicine and doctors. I was sitting in one of the rooms waiting for Dr. Brandin (He on the other hand, is very respectful and actually cares about figuring out what is wrong. 10/10 would recommend). I overheard the nurses saying one patient felt “uncomfortable” with Dr. Lei so I was moved to Dr. Lei’s room. Dr. Lei on the other hand, was extremely dismissive. I was experiencing persistent headaches the previous week and was told if they persisted to come back. Because of the headaches, I missed a quiz at school. Dr. Lei proceeded to insult me, insinuating that I am a liar and make poor decisions (because I didn’t take the medication prescribed). The thing was, they prescribed me Naproxen last time which is pretty much Aleve. I was taking over-the-counter medication for my headaches. I also stated that I was experiencing stomach aches but Dr. Lei didn’t even bother to ask me about that. He just accused me of wanting a doctors note because I was incapable to manage school. He asked me why I go to work and school if I can’t manage it. I started crying because I was extremely disturbed by his accusations. He was not fazed by it at all. After waiting 2 hours to be seen by a doctor, I was left extremely upset and felt violated. I wish I looked at some of the reviews before seeing him. It is a shame that doctors like Lei are still allowed to practice and really be ignorant of one’s personal issues. If you go DO NOT SEE DR. LEI!!! HE IS THE WORST HUMAN EVER.
I attended school in downtown Toronto and lived on my own in residency. I was experiencing symptoms of numbness in my legs and irregular motor functions. I was able to walk-in and wait about 25 minutes - honestly I was expecting to wait longer given it was a walk-in clinic. However, the doctor performed a motor skill/neurological function test on me and assured everything was fine but to come back if anything continued. They were super friendly and reassuring about an experience that nearly traumatized me!
I went in for a doctor's note because I was sick and I needed it for school. When I saw Dr. Kara, the doctor kept going in and out of my room to see other patients even though he started doing assessments on me; this occurred twice for about 15 minutes each time. I was kept waiting inside the room with partial assessments completed. I apologized for being impatient but the doctor said I should be thanking him that they were even open and taking patients for the long weekend. The entire visit has taken over an hour. Doctor was very rude and unprofessional, and two of the three nurses I interacted with tried to rush me out of the clinic even before my assessments were over. I would not recommend this clinic at all. Edit: just for further clarification, I went in on the Friday before the long weekend in the morning. The clinic was open and I have the receipt for the doctor's note and the note itself with Dr. Kara's name and signature on it to prove it should the clinic claim they were not open on this Friday when they, in fact, were, and try to dismiss this case by claiming they were not open.
You just waste your time if you go there
Given the state of the healthcare system especially the one here in Canada, you'd expect Toronto to be a place to receive quality care. It's very disappointing to see clinics like this. Slow wait times regardless of appointments, unavailable doctors (some prioritizing phone appointments), some staff are not knowledgeable at all, some doctors with poor bedside manner etc. Good luck since this might be only one of your options for a primary care clinic in Toronto.
Rude lady at the counter made me think twice about having a family doctor here. For every question, she responded with an attitude and made it seem like I was bugging her and wasting her time. Never will go back to this place again.
Dr. Lei is the worst. He has a rude and impatient attitude. Avoid seeing him if you can.
As another poster mentioned, I too was surprised at the low ratings for the Lockwood. For what it’s worth, I’ve been a patient of Dr. Kara’s for 12 years and have seen a number of specialists in the building. Everyone’s always treated me well and I’ve been happy with the care I’ve received.
Did some simple tests 2 months ago. Still waiting on results. I will not go back to this place again. You should not waste your time by going to this place for anything.
I waited for more than 1 hr to read my TB test result and the nurses there were really rude!
Long wait time and very rude stuff. First told me there will be 1.5hr wait, after that told me there will be 6 patients in front of me. 2.5hrs pass and I still have not seen the doctor.
Terrible experience with this clinic. I am a nursing student. Due to long hour of standing, I went to get a prescription for a pair of compression socks. The physician I saw was Dr. Calvin Lee. After I went into his office and described my condition, he refused to give me the prescription because he said there is not evidence to support that compression socks would help with long hour standing and it only helps with varicose. I indicated that I want to prevent varicose from happening and asked him for other suggestions. He literally said" if you don't want to stand for long hours, then don't be a nurse!" This is so rude and inappropriate, I had lots of great experiences working with awesome doctors, but this experience is terrible!
Been sitting here for an hour and a half with mangled fingers slowly turning bluer by the minute after getting them slammed in a bay door at work. People are being tended to before me, people with no visible signs of stress or injury. This is exactly the type of experience that is turning people toward privatized healthcare. I feel profiled and neglected by the institution that I was once so very proud of. More than two hours now.
Was seen by a doctor rather quickly on a Tuesday late afternoon. Can't say if this is typical, but it was one of the quickest walk-in clinic experiences I've had.
Doctor Dehghani was so rude to me, he almost waved his fist on my face and said I am wasting resources, I told him the previous doctor suggested me to do the check every 6 months so I came, then he asked me so loudly ‘who said that? Who said that?’ He also marked on my report ‘do not need to check every time’ with heavily hitting the keyboard. So should I come to see the doctor until I really get cancer?
Rude staff on the phone. Called to make an appointment and was directed to make one online instead as the receptionists can't make them. The clinic website says otherwise.
(Translated) So bad (Original) So bad
Had an over the phone appointment at 1PM, they called 5 minutes early, only tried to get ahold of me once. Tried calling their clinic, nobody answers and they provided no direct extension in the voicemail and told me to reschedule
I've been going here for years and have had nothing short of great experiences every time. From visiting as a walk-in patient, to having more permanent attention from support staff, doctors, and specialists - most currently Dr. Agrawal and Dr. Lewis - the clinic has been instrumental in my health. With onsite labs and specialists, as well as access to other doctors at the surrounding hospitals - I will continue to look to them for care.
I NEVER write reviews but my experience here was so bad I HAD to. First off I waited OVER 2 and a half hours to see doctor “Lei” I believe his name was. When I finally did he basically just said “yeah you’re sick” and that was about it. He also told me that I could take some over the counter medicine which I KNOW reacts with my prescription medicine and then continued to argue with me about this. If I was dumb and taken this there could’ve been a potential over dose for me, because of this idiot. Essentially I just went there to sit in a chair all day because I got absolutely NO help.
One star is an over rating for this clinic. The worst experience one would ever get. They make sure you are not deprived of that. Rude and clueless staff. Waited 2 hours for my turn on a Saturday only to find out people coming after me were take care of first. Doctor didnt recommend anything and didnt do any diagnostics. He just read what the nurse wrote. And if you ever need a doctor's note, they will make sure they rip $50 off of you in hidden charges and costs. When confronted, the staff acts clueless and directs everything to the doctor. Worst worst experience ever.
Really bad experience. Dr. Ramji was very rude to me when I went to see him. I felt like he wanted me to get out of the office fast so he can see his next patient. I was very upset and will not be coming back.
Very rude nurses, poor services. I get why the place only have 2.5 stars on Google.
My last 3 visits to this place have all been consecutively horrible. The unnaturally long wait time could be called pleasant compared to my experience with the doctor. An overconfident sassy asian male doctor attended to me and it felt like he was investigating my timetable and test schedules more than diagnosing my actual ailments. Being as this is a medical clinic, I'm sure students who are actually sick also visit, not just those interested in doctor's letters. Despite my obvious croacky voice, phlegm, red eyes and running nose, this doctor insisted that he could not tell if I was actually unwell untill the 'test' results of a swab he performed came back. I'm sorry this guy's dreams of becoming discipline master of some elementary school didn't play out. On another occassion, I was met with a rude, condescending asian receptionist who only repeated her exact last words when asked for further clarification. And on my last visit, I was turned away from even seeing the walk-in doctor by another unfriendly receptionist despite getting there more than an hour before closing time due to the doctor not being able to 'accomodate' all the patients. Really, how is this establishment even considered as a health-care provider if none of its tired, irritated, stuck-up employees even harbor an ounce of 'care' in them. How is this business even still running if customers are treated like flies. I am never going back, and am making it my mission to let as many people know.
Worst experience ever! The doctor was very rude, not helping at all and he didn't even listen to what I had to say when I started explaining my pain. He also didn't even ask any questions regarding my injury AT ALL. He just said that the previous professional I saw was wrong and didn't even bother explaining to me what the problem was and how I could fix it. This is by far the worst experience I ever had in a clinic, I'll never go back there. I basically wasted 1hour of my time waiting to see a doctor for literally 2 minutes because he clearly wasn't there to actually help, He clearly didn't care, not even a little. He just stormed in and stormed out of the office.
Not even worth 1 star. The nurse asked me why I'm here, I answered her what I think the problem is. Then, the doctor came and gave me a prescription without asking any questions. Took less than 3 minutes. He must've thought I'm also a doctor and what I described to the nurse was enough.
Doctor named Dr. Lei is probably the most useless doctors out there. Has no care for the patient and doesn’t know much. Everytime I tell him the symptoms he says “I don’t know”. What a waste of tax money this stupid man is. He should be fired, as he’s a disgrace to this walkin clinic.
Dr. Lei is fantastic and I'm always in and out quickly
The very best care in all of Ontario is found at the Lockwood Clinic. We have had three generations see Dr Nevin and in every situation they diagnosed correctly changed our lives. Thank you
Very inefficient. Long wait every time even if you go early. Takes forever for the staff to get back to you too.
They say they are open til 3pm on Saturday. I went at 12:10 pm for a walk-in, and they say they've already stopped taking patients, a full 3 hours before closing time. I'd expect maybe 1:30 pm to be a reasonable time to stop taking patients, there is NOBODY waiting in the sitting area nor in their hallways just outside the patient rooms. Literally nobody. Zero. So me and one other lady got turned away just because these nurses and doctors didn't want to work until closing time and wanted to get off to watch the Jays game or something. They truly don't care and just want to get their money and go home. Truly terrible.
I booked an appointment online, which I LOVED - so convenient (especially as a student). It's also walking distance from my school which is fantastic. Dr. Samapti is a young female doctor who took genuine interest in my health (very friendly). More than just a walking clinic considering the variety of services it provides!
I had an appointment with Dr Calvin Lei on Dec 28, 2021. The doctor was very unprofessional and rude. I came in to get a requisition for some bloodwork, that my naturopath recommended me to get done, that should have been ordered by a family doctor. When I explained it to Dr Lei his facial expression changed and he asked why did I see a naturopath. He didn't ask it out of curiosity, his expression showed disgust and disappointment. He sounded judgmental towards a "non-traditional" doctor, though I didn't ask for his opinion, I just came in for a requisition. When I asked about the possibility of the Vitamin D coverage by OHIP (it is covered in case of the vitamin D deficiency) he said it wouldn't be covered for me as he sees no reason. "Since you've already paid for the naturopath anyway, why wouldn't you pay for Vitamin D? What's the problem?" - that's a quote from the doctor that shocked me by his lack of empathy and respect. How can he decided whether it's a problem or not for me to pay extra? Why does he assume I can afford paying for the bloodwork and cannot ask whether it could be covered? If he can't tolerate other "non-traditional" doctors and patients' questions - perhaps, he shouldn't be a doctor. Cherry on top: he forgot to include in the requisition some of the blood tests I needed, even though I gave him a full list. Good thing I double checked the requisition once I left his office - had to come back and ask the nurse to include all the tests I needed. Overall, I had a highly unpleasant experience.
Worst altitude ever experienced and the doctor is lack of experience, they try to give you prescription before they check anything LMAO
Staff are not professional !!!
The doctors and nurses there are cool but the clinic charges a lot ($30) just for a sick note. That's almost two times more than what other clinics charge. Almost feels like the clinic is taking advantage of patients who really need it for school or work. Will only go back when I'm not seriously sick and don't need a sick note.
This place is unpredictable. You take online appointments and wait for 2 hours. They change nurses quite often. Some of the nurses are not friendly at all. She actually interputed me saying that this is a walk in one problem per visit. Their quality is decrementing. I am a patient of them since 2013. I had a better experience several years ago with Dr. Kara. Other than him do not visit. They also blocked me from booking online for missing 2 appointments for about 2 years. They are the worest.
Each time I go to lockwood-it is terrible. Today I went to the clinic, which I booked a 2:45 appoint for. I was assured that I would be seen on time since I expressed that I had to get back to work,. I was assured this would be no problem. I wasn't seen by a nurse until 3:20. The doctor then came in, asked a few questions and then said 'be right back'. He was then gone for 10 minutes. The nurse then came back in and asked what the plan was, and I explained the case of the missing doctor. She said she would get him. I had to leave to get back to work. Terrible service. Terrible each time.
Hes so arrogant, impatient, not listening from the patients. Students must no go. 0/5. So bossy
I check the rates first but I thought those are unreal ,when i went there for the first time the indian Dr just took no more than 4minutes for me even after my urine test he did not back to check and the nurse came to me???????????? Next day I got eye infection and this time I asked to see Dr Lie,he was more terrible than him afte 2min visit he left me to answer a phone and after 10min came back to me and without any checking like my eyes or ears or throat,he told me go and wait for your blood test????????????I asked him several times please give me some medicine ,I have so much pain,He just looked at my eyes without any sense and told me use advilll. Do they think people are crazy to waste 100$ for any visit to get advil?!!!ofcourse I tried before here????????????????and he told me do not come here every day???????????????? The nurses are good but the doctors are awfulllllllll
I have had excellent experiences with Dr. Daya but the negative reviews for Dr. Lei are spot-on. Highly recommend avoiding him as far as possible if you care about your health and your time. I went in for a sinus infection but all he insisted on talking about was my period (????????).
I have been visiting this clinic for more than 8 years now and I am more than satisfied with the facilities and my doctor. I am a patient of Dr. Z Kara who has been absolutely amazing with me. He takes care of his patients with a personal care and always looks out for our best interests. Appointments and every other administrative stages have always been quite easy. Shehzeen sh.
There's a female Indian doctor and a male (chinese?) doctor, Dr. Sampati and Dr. Lei. Please please please for your health's sake avoid them at all times. Dr. Lei almost always tells you he will not interpret the tests results for which he orders blood work and always seems to have a different opinion to that of the rest of the medical community while Dr. Sampati (might be the wrong spelling) virtually knows nothing. I seem to have better medical knowledge doing my own reading to find out the possible causes of my ailments. I don't know if they got their degrees in Canada (which would have been okay if they were good doctors and acted like doctors!!) but the patient experience with them is horrrrrrible in and by itself. They seem more interested in processing you like items at a grocery checkout rather than really treating you and finding the causes of your sickness. It makes me want to go to med. school just so I can become a better doctor to my patients. All the tests I've asked the Bay Lockwood clinic to do have shown some sort of ailment, but those tests were never ordered by the doctors there. I had to go in and insist on them ordering the test myself! They always seem to fight with you rather than prove you wrong with a simple blood test. It makes me wonder how many people go to them trusting their professionalism and knowledge and get sent back with false reassurance or without finding the root causes of their illnesses. It is such a big shame to Canada these doctors are allowed to practise medicine. What a huge waste of our taxpayer money and the province's money. What a big big mistake we have made allowing doctors like them to practise. I really hope other people see their b.s. service and knowledge they have and ask their managers or higher-ups to remove them or reform them in some miraculous way. And I hope these doctors get same bad service in their day to day lives just so they can see how it feels to get nowhere and leave with their problems unsolved! That would be the perfect taste of their own medicine!!!!!! I'm definitely complaining to the president of this clinic! I also definitely recommend patients to avoid these two doctors when dealing with serious ailments.
Bad experience with dr.Ramji. Lack of communication, empathy and professionalism.
Doctors are oblivious
Dr lei was so impatient. He lacked the professionalism to be a doctor. Just a terrible waste of time.
In last a few months I had 2 times phone appointment with Calvin Lei, most unprofessional doctor I've met. I had an abnormal test result and I asked: what should I do next? He said: do whatever you want to do! And he hang up the phone. It was 15 mins appointment he was on the phone with me like 2-3 mins. He doesn’t respect patient and don’t explain well, also he doesn’t have any patience. why the clinic hire this kind of “doctors”?
Terrible experience. Wonderful receptionist and nurses. The doctor I was seeing was called Calvin Lei, who has a little bit of an attitude but in general not intolerable. It was his unprofessionally attitude really enraged me. I had an allergic reaction on my face and the doctor didnt even take his time to look at it. He just looked at the computer screen and was like okay so you will need to take this and that. I was in there with the doctor for literally 2 minutes but waited for like 30 minutes. Also the pharmacy does not give any suggestion at all. Not helpful.
Ridiculously long wait time, I was having a panic attack in the waiting area given how stuffy it was, and the doctor refused to prescribe my regular anxiety medication! DO NOT GO
First time experience! Doctor ramji totally oblivious, unprofessional!!! He was texting the whole time he is suppose to be dealing with me as a patient. I asked questions and I get answer after 20 minutes because he is busy texting! It's frustrating to see this people in the society, very irresponsible and rude and tend to introvert their patient. Such misconduct and unethical!
terrible experience- waited 2 hours before being called in. then waited another hour inside without being attended to. turns out only one doctor was working. clinic was full of people waiting. dont overbook if you dont have enough doctors. its a waste of our time
Been here many times, front desk Elinor is nice and friendly especially for us students, she give an estimated time for waiting and give options you can step out and come back or wait.Dr.Kara is rely good..i always go here if i need a doctors note for school.
Fantastic atleast you come out of there with an answer Dr Nevin is thorough.
Worst clinic I have ever been to!!! Came in to see doctor due to severe back pain and could barely walk. Doctor did not examine me. Told me I had to get physiotherapy. Did not want to send me for x-rays. Went to see physiotherapist. Immediately took x-rays. Turns out there is a curvature in my spine plus I need to get an MRI for other possible complications. Shame on the doctor at this clinic for not doing his due diligence in examining me and ensuring that there were no issues. You should not be practicing as a doctor.
Worst place ever! Not good even if you have a cold!
Dr Samapti is a very responsible doctor.
Honestly, you cannot please everyone. The fact that people complain about what another HUMAN being ESTIMATED, seriously baffles me. This goes out to Raymond, the person with the previous review. When you go to a walk-in clinic, do you not stop to think that its a WALK-IN CLINIC for a reason? Anyone can walk in and ask to see the doctor. Of course there is going to be a wait time, what are you going to do? Tell the people who have been waiting before you that you have more right than they do to see the doctor first because you have another appointment you could not rearrange your time around? When you ask the receptionist how long the wait time is IT IS AN ESTIMATED AMOUNT OF TIME. There are worse and bigger issues in this world to be complaining and worrying about than how long you had to wait at a clinic. Give us a break. Get over yourselves. Signed, someone who has worked in a clinic before.
Very unorganized, you come first and get serviced after people who came after you.. doctors are very beginners, without experience..
The service in this clinic to schedule appointments with your own family doctor is terrible!!! I have been calling for days I have left tons of messages to see if someone can call me to schedule an appointment with my Doctor and nothing. Online you can’t schedule the appt with your own doctor is very hard to schedule the appointments unless you go there directly so If you live far or you moved get another clinic. I feel bad because I have no complaint as far as my Doctor but his staff or the booking system with him needs to improve.. this is very frustrating specially when you are pregnant.
One of the receptionist at 7th floor was really rude.
Come here if you want to wait 4 hours for them to fax your prescription to the pharmacy
I had an appointment at the Cardiac Diagnostic with Elife Colak and due to some mishap was made to wait for an hour. Okay, things can go wrong I understand. But instead of acknowledging the error or taking any responsibility she tries to first blame me and then the receptionists. Throughout the exam she was rude and condescending. Aside from being extremely unprofessional, she is lacking basic manners and human decency.
If there is half star option, I would rate that one. The receptionist is very irresponsible, all they want is to make more money. I came in the clinic at 6 and was told that there is only one patient in front of me. And now the time is 6:55, I am still not seen by the doctor. Wrote clinic I’ve ever been. Can some regulation department shut down their operation. I am now late for some other appointment. Worst clinic ever.
Dr. Lei was horrible and not knowledgeable and didn't know how to treat his patient.
This place is average at best.
I recently moved to Toronto and was looking for a family doctor, and heard a lot of stories about how they are a sparse commodity. I had been to the clinic a few times as a walk-in patient and had seen one doctor, Shahin, a couple of times and decided to ask him if he was taking any new patients, he was more than happy to accommodate and made the process of transferring files quite easy. He is very personable and efficient, he knows his stuff and provides feed back on test results promptly and effectively. The only draw back that I am aware of is that this clinic is quite busy and is sometimes difficult to get through on the phone to book an appointment but it's no wonder, being in the heart of the GTA, that they see a large volume of both walk-in and family practice patients. All-in-all a fantastic clinic, fast, organized, and friendly doctors and staff. Appreciate the high volume of people and personalities that they deal with and this doctor's office is a wonderful clinic to go to.
Met Dr. J.Stern. one of the best doctors I have ever met. He was so calm, did not rush at all, answered all questions. What an amazing Doctor. Ask for him !!! Thanks again Doc.
Please don't run an online appointment booking system if you're not going to confirm an appointment within 18 hours.
Avoid this place, specifically ANY doctors you are referred to on the 3rd floor. I have had a total of two appointments here. 1st Appointment: They were half an hour late to see me. 2nd Appointment (To go over medical results and get referrals): They were 45mins late, to which I left since I had many other items scheduled. I've had to book months in advance, just to have them waste my time even further. I'd expect some level of punctuality, but it to be this bad is just plain unprofessional. Please go to another place.
Wait is too long! I used to go to this clinic all the time but the wait times are just too long. I was spending 2 or 3 hours waiting every time and always had to miss a half day of work. I found a new clinic inside the Loblaws at the old Maple Leaf Gardens with almost no wait time and this is where I've gone twice now and am much happier to not be waiting anymore!
I had a bad experience on my recent visit. I had a appointment with Dr. B N Shaikh who is a urologist. He was sarcastic and rude throughout the conversation and also mocked at me few times. My problem was that I pee frequently. He asked me to remove my pants. I asked him if I should lower my underwear and then he mocked at me saying " What do you think , is it a transparent underwear?". He also laughed at me when I asked him few questions on circumcision. I felt very bad for how can a doctor make fun of a patient? I will never visit this clinic where doctors are rude and make fun of patients.
Submitted test sample a week ago, it still haven’t been sent out to examination yet, would the sample still be good??? Need to wait more than 2 weeks for a result?? What if the patient is really urgent for treatment???
Waiting on test results. They won't return calls and they don't pick up the phone. Useless! Complete waste of time
The best complete physical we have ever had. This is an amazing place to have all your test results within the 1st then on the 2nd & possibly a 3rd day all the required further tests are completed from heart scans, ultrasound, sleep clinic, stress test , ear nose & throat specialist ; Gasterologist , etc. I have referred several of my friends & they could thank me enough. Some were found to have major health issues that they were not even aware of . Lockwood’s early diagnosis saved their life.
So I came to the Lockwood Clinic because even though I have a family Dr., it takes 3 months to get in to see him and if you are really sick, they tell you to go to the ER or a clinic. I heard about the Lockwood Clinic for a friend and decided that I was going to give it a try. I do not live in Toronto, I live over an hour north. I booked a hotel room and it was so worth it. Dr. Ramji was who I saw first, and he listened to me and refered me to and Internist Dr. Lowe. After speaking to him for over 40 mins, not being rushed like with the family Dr., he spent the next 30 mins figuring out what test to do. I have already done 3 of 6 things he set up for me and I feel so good that I am finally being taken seriously. I have 5 kids and I need to be healthy for them. I would 100% recommend The Lockwood Clinic to anyone that doesn’t have a family Dr or has one like mine.
I've been a patient here for years. Dr. Kara and most recently Dr Agarwal have been my Family Practice physicians. Due to my family history of Stoke, Heart Attack and diabetes, they regularly follow up with me to do blood-work, scans and renew my medications. I couldn't be more satisfied. Recently, in the midst of Covid, I had blood in my urine. Within two weeks I had all the tests, a referral to a Urologist, imaging, and a low-grade tumour removed. The followup from Dr Agarwal was prompt and appreciated. Thanks, folks.
Have been there twice, haven't had any problems, except last time had to go home for UHIP print out, otherwise would have to pay $100, but these are formalities that they have to follow. Doctors accept fast enough so the queue is not long.
I booked a phone appointment for today well in advance. When I called the clinic after an hour of waiting, I was told I'm next in line. It's been more than 2 hours past my appointed time and I am still waiting for the doctor to call. Unfortunately, this is not the first time I've had to wait this long for an already booked appointment at this clinic.
I was referred by a Dr at another clinic and the receptionist was so callous and hung up on me.
Paid for 2 TB tests (104 cad), but only did 1. Asked for a refund (42 cad) 5 times in 7 months (from 06/18 to now), but got nothing. The staff always said they would call back after 2 weeks, but no phone received. The payment completed within 10 seconds, but the refund never gonna happen.
Staff is too lazy to take calls, I have been trying to reach them during weekdays between 4pm - 7pm and I just got message that noone is here , please leave a message.
I made an appointment for a walk in. (Yes you could actually make an appointment for a walk in. And it’s online!) However it still took an hour from my appointment time to see a doctor. An hour for any walk in clinic is not bad at all. Dr. Ramji was great. For a doctor seeing multiple walk in patients in a day, he stays in a good mood and doesn’t show any indifference to patients (like you see in most doctors at walk in clinics who just want to hustle patients in and out as fast as possible). I didn’t get any hostile or rude vibes from the staff as some other reviewers mentioned. They were actually pretty nice. As for other reviewers who say that they saw other ppl see a doctor first even though those ppl came later than them- yeah that makes sense. Remember this clinic offers different specialties. Their doctor may not be the same doctor you’re supposed to be seeing. I saw patients who came in after me got seen by a doctor first and I was ok with it. I only came in for a walk in but I can tell these patients are there for specific doctors going for specific treatments. So chill out if you see other patients go before you do.
Terrible!!! I went to this clinic for the first time last week. I waiter for 1 hour and 30 minutes to see a doctor, although it was not very busy. I saw Dr. Lei, to whom I asked to provide a consult on alternative contraceptive methods. Not only he did not provide me with any information such as risks, side effects or prices, he just gave me a prescription without outlining the procedure and without telling me that first, I needed to make sure (post-examination) whether I would be a good candidate for what he prescribed. Once I went to they next appointment with the prescription in hand, a different doctor told me that unfortunately, I was not a good candidate for it and that, I could return the unopened box to the pharmacy, which was not the case. Why on earth would you prescribe a medication, without making sure I was a good candidate for it to begin with?? The first MD never asked me any questions at all...Now, I found myself with a unopened box of prescription that I can't neither return nor use.
It took me four times to see the doctor for stomach ache in 9 months, but I still feel pain. They don't give good medical or send you to specialists.
Neither waiting for hours to see a doctor nor bad hygiene is a problem compared to their attitude. For every question, this as**ole named Lei answered with the manners that made me look like hypochondriac. All I expected from him was the simple explanation about the medication I was prescribed by another doctor, but he instead repeated himself that "you need help" without answering properly. Unless you want to find out how crappy a walk-in-clinic experience can be, please don't visit here. If you need proper medical attention, this is not the right place you are looking for. Avoid this clinic, especially Dr. Lei at all cost. Very unprofessional.
DO NOT PUT YOUR HEALTH IN DANGER BY GOING HERE dont' go here, you are putting your life in danger, they are irresponsible, discriminatory, arrogant, and put their clients lives in danger
I took my grandma to the clinic yesterday. we stand at the window of white girl to register, she is busy texting and then tell us "I'm not ready yet "and roll her eyes to us, she is so rude . The little front desk at the side call us to help, she was so nice helping us and she talked politely, while waiting to see the doctor we have noticed that she Is the only front desk give a nice response to the patient,The doctor was great as well. we wait for only 20minutes and saw Dr. shahin
Dr. Shahin has been my doctor for over two years now, he is an exceptional doctor. I first visited Lockwood as a walk-in patient and was seen by Dr. Shahin, I was surprised and still in awe about the treatment I received from him. As a result I asked him if he was accepting new patients. He is a very good listener a Wonderful doctor who will do everything to make sure his patients come first whenever they visit him. I am forever grateful he is my doctor. Dr. Shahin is very knowledgeable I will highly recommend him. Jacqueline
I find the low ratings for Bay College Medical & Lockwood Diagnostics very surprising and not at all reflective of my experiences. I have been going to Dr. Kara for 12 years and he and his staff have always provided me with excellent care. Specifically Dr.Kara has helped me to overcome various mental health challenges over the years and I am the healthiest I have ever been - in large part thanks to Dr. Kara. He also supported us through 3 miscariages and helped us find the best specialists. I cannot say enough great things about Dr. Kara and his staff - they are truly amazing and in a class of their own!!
I’ve been to both Patient Network walk in clinic and Bay College walk in clinic. I went to Patient Network clinic is because their reviews look good, however, i don’t think it deserves a 4 star review, not even a 3 star. The staffs there are the rudest people I’ve ever met. Although Bay college only won 2 stars on its review, the attitude of the staffs are way better than Patient Network. Everyone is kind and helpful. There is one always waiting to reach and help you!
Walked in and was told it would be about 30 minute wait...one hour later and still another 30 mins to go...don't ask for estimated time because they have no idea and rather than just telling you so, they waste your time as if you have all day to spend waiting there...
I have a mostly very positive experience at this clinic. Dr. Nevin was knowledgeable and compassionate. He helped with my fibromyalgia. I was also seen by a neurologist, now retired. I forget his name. He mad all the difference in the world for me re: relief from a 26 year history of horrendous daily migraines.
Very pleased with my experience. Dr Daya was amazing.
Friendly staff. Didn't have to wait for a long time for walk-in appointment.
Love the place. Great staff. Been coming here for a very long time. DR . KARA is the Best ????
(Translated) PLEASE DON'T GO I can't walk because I fold my ankles, and I go around crutches because of tingling, but even if it's a walk-in clinic, I don't give a proper prescription, and even if it's a walk-in clinic, it's like trash that guides me once. Doesn't being a doctor have to explain to the patient where he or she is injured or why he is sick? Did you study a lot to do well to refute the patient? I'm an athlete, so I want to know how much my ankle muscles are damaged, so I ask for an ultrasound, so why do I need it, it's not you ㅇㅈㄹ.
I've been to this clinic 3 times now, and each time it's been excellent. I was able to book a same-day walk-in appointment online, which is convenient because I know for sure I will be seen. The staff are polite and very capable, from receptionists to nurses and doctors. Dr Anthony and Dr Kara are great, I would highly recommend them. They are professional and took my concerns seriously, taking the time to properly take a history and address my questions. Although others seem to have had poor experiences with Dr Lei, every time I have been I have received excellent quality care. I would recommend this clinic.
I have been a patient here for 12 years. The desk staff is always friendly, the nurses are caring and professional, booking appointments is easy, and my doctor, Dr. Kara, listens and is very thorough. The fact there are a number of specialists and a pharmacy in the complex is very convenient. Highly recommended.
The staff are incompetent and simply do not care about the concerns or the patient
I had an abdominal pain that is why they refused to see me in person due to covid-19. Instead, they have scheduled a useless telephone appointment with the most unpleasant "doctor" ever, Dr. Agarwal. I told him my symptoms and that my pain is almost gone but I still want to get an ultrasound done to see what is going on. He told me to go to the ER. I advised that it is not an emergency as I feel a lot better now (why do I have expose myself to Covid19 while waiting 8 hour to be seen by the doctor in ER and wasting resources if this is not an emergency?) and I am not able to do so, as I will not be in Toronto. He started to ask "you are leaving to do what", this is so unprofessional (even though my absence will be "essential"). Why your doctors thing that they have a right to ask people about not med related stuff? I patiently asked for the ultrasound once again, so I can have it done once I am here, he refused and told me that I should go to the hospital as he will not give me a referral. He was rude and unprofessional. PLEASE AVOID and do not waste your time waiting for the appointment with this "doctor".
You would think the clinic that mistakenly cancelled appointments would take urgent initiative to resolve their own mistakes!!!NOT. I made appointments for X-ray and ultrasound around two weeks ago. I rushed from work to find out they are deleted!! I can understand mistakes can happen BUT I don't understand nor appreciate lack of urgency to accommodate! Receptionists never apologized but more interested to see whom to blame. If anything I feel that they tried to delay the process by putting my paper at the end of the pile, even thus they saw how stressed I was, when I expressed I need to rush back to work. Your behaviour and actions were noticed and were unprofessional, hurtful, and disrespectful. The manager apologized and another staff was helpful. But it seems there is no protocol or urgency in actions in such situations, since after 45 min, when everyone before and after me left, I finally got called. Overall, the lack of urgency and compassion was appalling and stressful.
Terrible service, I've been waiting here for 2 hours watching people with appointments go infront of me. It's supposed to be a WALK IN clinic
Rude and condescending woman in the front desk. Bored and rude doctor stating that the blood tests ordered by a different doctor were useless and repeatedly refusing to interpret the results or provide any suggestions for treatment of my symptoms.
I was honestly surprised by the low reviews for this clinic - I've been here a number of times and I always had a positive experience. It's located close to work so it's very convenient. The staff were helpful and professional and the doctor (Dr. Kara) quickly and efficiently addressed my health issues. Would definitely go back.
I wish I read these review going. I recently moved to Toronto and am looking for a family doctor. I called to ask on how to do this, the nurse answering was slightly hostile and told me to just "show up".So I show up, the reception nurse tells me to "come back monday afternoon" with a hostile tone. When I asked her to be more specific she said " between 3 and 8pm, before 8pm". Very unprofessional, I am definitively not getting a family doctor there if it's that hard to even get in the door.
AVOID DR. C LEI ! Request for Dr.Ramji or other actual doctors if you have to come to this clinic. Dr. C Lei gives no sympathy, no professional advice and most importantly, he is judgemental which make the whole experience extremely unpleasant. He talks in a very unkind and annoying tone. I am not sure if this is part of his character or he simply has so much hatred against people. Don't ruin your day and make your illness worse by seeing him.
I saw Dr. Daya. She is a Saint. I am very grateful to her. She would also be great with children. The clinic itself is friendly and efficient. Thank you again, Dr. Daya!
I have been a patient at this clinic for years. Fantastic care, service, and follow up.
My husband went to the Lockwood Diagnostic, since we were not receiving any answers within the Niagara Region. Dr. Lowe was fantastic. He noted that my husband urgently needed care at the hospital. He provided a detailed letter to give to the Emergency Room Surgeon and all critical diagnostic information. Dr. Lowe took the time to follow-up with my husband during his stay in the Toronto General Hospital. This doctor is truly a gem and shows that he cares.
Ive been a client for 15 years. No issues. Always helpful when i can see my family doctor.
I went into ask a few questions and the lady at the front desk was really rude and annoyed.

The first important factor for any centre to be successful is customer care and good communication, which I didn’t find in this poor place !
Been coming to this clinic for regular care for nearly two years. Staff are quite helpful. Hours are good, even if sometimes you end up waiting (a symptom of our current medical system, not specifically this clinic) when it gets busy.
Appointments don’t mean anything! I’ve been to the clinic multiple times and it’s hit or miss. After sitting in the first of two waiting rooms for half an hour after my scheduled start time I was told they couldn’t provide me an expected time to see Dr Ramji because he’s busy and the people in front of me had been waiting over an hour. I tried explaining how appointments should work in a service industry, mainly that they should be on time if I’m paying full price, and they informed me “that’s not how doctor Ramji works”. Sad part is that if I was late or didn’t show up they confirmed they would have charge me!!! I need to find an alternative doctor. Someone who at least pretends to care about my issues and maybe values a bit of my time. With luck I will never need to return to see dr Ramji.
Dr. Ramji Shaffiq shows no empathy nor care to patients' needs or qualms. He barely gave me 20 seconds of his attention when I came in to see him for a skin irritation and as a result of this prescribed the wrong topical treatment causing me to feel additional distress after application. In addition to mistreatment from the doctor, the hygiene practices at this clinic are also extremely questionable. Being led into the consultation room, I was greeted with an open sample of urine sitting at the table where the nurse at hand commented with a "guess the doctor left me a little present." I don't know the standards for how a clinic should be run but I know that this clinic definitely do not meet those standards. They focus more on fast throughput of patients than on the patients themselves.
Everyone treated me with kindess and compassion.. Dr. Nevin helped me understand what was happening in my body. Im glad I was referred there
You don't need an appointment but wait times vary by day and season. Waits during flu season will be longer. The waiting room can get a bit cramped. Conveniently, there is a pharmacy on the premises to get quick fills on prescriptions.
Never had problems. Get allergy shots here quick and easy.
Went there for a concussion. Don't remember if the service was good or not. I'm fine now though so I guess it was o.k.
Everyone I spoke with was very friendly. I scheduled an appointment before each of the 4 visits, and never waited longer than 5 minutes to see the doctor. Dr. Faraj was very friendly and helpful. Minus one star because there was some glitch in processing my results.
I have been going to this clinic for awhile, the staff and other doctors I have encountered were very nice and helpful. However I had an appointment with Dr Lei for the first time today, I was very disappointed. He is the worst doctor I have seen. The way he talked was very disrespectful, rude and not kind. I do not recommend him if you are going to this clinic.
Had an appointment with Dr. Agarwal regarding my sleeping problem. He was rude, disrespectful and interrupted me a lot, like he was rushing to end the conversation. At the end, he just gave me some cheesy advice, like exercising and avoiding using laptop and phone before bed, which you can get from any medical website. When I asked more questions, he just said we were running out of time.
