Thanks for the woman you sent who bailed on her job. Not reliable at all. Waste of money at 35$ per hour. This place should screen their employees better...In it for the money. Would definitely not recommend.

My 97 year old father is a client of the Right at Home Organization. He is still in his own home where (RAH) caregivers attend to him 4 days a week. All staff are very friendly and caring! The care workers that are assigned to my father provide meals for him, do some light housekeeping and provide a peace of mind for our family. Overall we are pleased with the service however there has been a few occasions when a care worker has not shown up.

I was given access to this facility, through a charge nurse at the hospital , whom helped me get help from a private home care system as our local CCAC service put me ona wait list hold while my husband was in with heart problems and we were not sure what his conditions were. When I left the hospital that evening, I was not sure what I was going to do, because I am a quadrapaligic person that can not get myself in or out of bed ....plus need help dressing and undressing as well as a few other living abilities I would need help with...when I was getting into my home with the help of my neighbors I got a call from Right at home saying that I would have a PSW at my door by 7:30 am the next morning...I was elated. I kept the PSWs for longer than required as I didn’t want any more surprises from Care Partner, who I now call Careless Partners because the nursing staff have failed me in more ways than one. Again I would like to thank the mgr. of the St.Catharines branch as well as the support from everyone...I will never forget the care you gave. If you are looking for some in home health care for your loved one, I would disregard this place for a couple of reasons... My personal experience is: I called these people for my mother, who became debilitated with sciatica pain... My mom was crawling to the bathroom on the floor and AFTER 3 DAYS I finally had a return call by someone. When this lady called 3 days after the fact, my mom was already in the hospital. These people should be ASHAMED of themselves! I will NEVER call here again, and i hope whoever is reading this doesn't either.

Our family experience with Right at Home was 5 stars! The support team was easy to communicate with knowing that Trish was always a phone call away. Our concerns were always met with a pleasant attitude as we needed to cancel or add a shift to my father's care. The PSW team is fully certified and helped my dad with personal hygiene, visitation and really understood his dementia behaviour and needs. I would recommend this service fully!

I am honestly not sure what we would have done without Right at Home Niagara. While navigating the long struggle to get my father diagnosed with what we now know is a rare form of Alzheimer's Disease, my fiancé and I were drowning while trying to meet the needs of our young family (3 year old son and 8 months pregnant), whilst also making sure my father was eating, dressing, and above all, safe in his own home. We had been told we weren't eligible for in home care through the LHIN, because my father had not been diagnosed with anything as of yet, and a referral from a doctor had not been sent. We were out of options at the time, and concerned about my father's well being, as we couldn't be with him every second of the day. After discovering Right at Home Care Niagara, on google, I reached out and inquired about the help they could provide us. I was immediately set up with a care coordinator (Trish), and she had a PSW at my father's house the next day. Trish has been incredibly supportive, sympathetic and understanding, as we have created my father's care plan, and navigated our lives in cooperation with this company. She is always easy to reach, quick to respond, and not only cares about my father, but checks in with my family as well. The PSW's that we have worked with, Bernice and Brooke, are absolute angels, and have helped my family through some of the toughest months we have ever faced. Bernice is incredibly time efficient, productive, easy to communicate with, and one of the best cooks I have ever met! My father loves her food, and I can always depend on her to make sure all of his daily needs are met (she's the only person who can get him to cut his hair or shave!). She goes above and beyond the call of her job, and I feel as if she is an extension of the care that I would provide for my father, if I could. Her sense of humor lightens my father's day. She never ceases to amaze me. Brooke has also been an invaluable member of my father's support team. She handles my father's ups and downs as if they were non existent. Her jokes and contagious laugh always get my father laughing along with her, even on days when it's hard to get him to smile. Brooke has connected with my father on a level that not many people have managed, and he even expressed that she reminded him of me. Bernice and Brooke even bring my father a coffee and donuts from Tim Hortons throughout the week! Both ladies have made my father feel more comfortable in his home, and in his own skin, than he has in a very long time, and for that, I can't thank them enough. Along with that, they have lifted an incredible weight from my family's shoulders. Caring for someone with an Alzheimer's diagnosis is a full time job and with just their one hour visit a day, these ladies have made our lives manageable again. Yes, care is provided and covered for some patients through government health care, but the dedication and care that you will receive through Right at Home Niagara is unparalleled.

I cannot thank Right At Home enough for the service they provided to my family. Each personal support worker they sent to help take care of my mother was a considerate, kind, caring, professional who treated my Mother with respect and dignity. Everyone we were in contact with from the Care Coordinators to the Personal Support Workers were excellent. They were so helpful and it was such a comfort to my family to have this level of support while my mother was waiting to transition to Long Term Care. We cannot thank them enough for all they did!

Our experience with Right at Home has been excellent. Our mother ...who was 96 and in Long Term Care enjoyed a weekly leisure drive in the wheel chair van. This was the highlight of her week. We also used the wheel chair van and wonderful PSW to take her to appointments. Excellent Service

I have been so impressed with the care from the Right at Home Staff that are there to service the Anchor Pointe residents if requested. My 87 year old mother receives care 4 times a day for administering her medication. We text back and forth all the time and I am always kept abreast of what is happening with my mother. If it were not for them, she would need to be in a nursing home already because of her dementia. They are patient with her and have gone the extra mile when it was needed. I am thankful that this added care is available and appreciate all the things they are willing and able to do. I would say the ability to text back and forth with her caregivers is absolutely the best feature ever. Rae does an amazing job of organizing everything regarding mom's care and has become my lifeline. Thank you Right at Home Staff for your excellent service.

From the very onset of the initial meeting to set up the care for my mother, to the ongoing scheduling, everyone was extremely helpful, and genuinely caring about what is best for the entire family. The caregivers are outstanding, and consider mum's well being as the priority. They take into account diet, exercise, companionship, general health, and well being.

I would like to express my thanks for all that my dad’s carer, Beate did for us. She was conscientious, caring and willing to carry out requests such as grocery shopping and carrying the delivery of a new microwave up a flight of stairs, setting it up, swapping out the old one ( again a trip on the stairs) and teaching my dad, who has low vision, how to use it. Talking to Trish the first time to arrange visits was such a relief, like talking to a friend and someone who could help. True to their word, there was no lock in contract and ending the arrangement was as simple as an email notification from me. One thing ‘Right At Home’ can improve is the access to email/electronic transfer of funds when paying. I was told after some attempts that it only works in Canada. If it is not possible to access internationally, a statement to that effect on the payment instructions would be helpful. I would recommend Right At Home as having their services gave me peace of mind. I would use them again.
