I'm sorry to have to write a mediocre review, particularly when there are very few reviews so far, because I know it will affect your overall ranking. But I have to give this feedback.
When I arrived at the office, there was a lady having a chit chat about her vacation with the receptionist. That's fine for a minute but the lady was going on for a very long time and the receptionist could see I was standing waiting and should have cut the lady off to acknowledge me. She could have at least smiled at me while the woman was talking to acknowledge my presence. Finally after waiting a long time I had to interrupt and ask if there were forms I should start filling out. It was not a great first impression. (This is a major pet peeve in any customer service situation.)
However, that's separate from my actual physio appointment so that is mostly not what I'm basing the review on.
When I met with the physiotherapist and we were just starting to talk about my back issues for only a few short minutes, suddenly without warning she stood up and said, "I have to check on another client" and left the room. She was gone at least 5 minutes. When she came back in, she started talking about my last sentence as though she had never left, but it was a major interruption. I'm sorry but if you're going to need to leave the room, you need to let me know to expect an interruption. I did not feel like I had your attention at all, and at that point I wasn't even sure what we had talked about. How can you understand the issues I'm having when you're walking in and out in the middle of our first consultation?
The rest of the appointment was ok and I appreciated some of the body work that she gave me, but then at the end it really fell apart. I'm an active 40 year old woman, not a senior citizen. She gave me only two exercises to do that were far too basic, not helpful, and didn't even go through them with me. She just gave me a print out and said to make another appointment in 2 weeks. Shouldn't you be walking me through the exercises to check my form? Also, these 2 exercises were not sufficient for 2 weeks while I'm trying to nurture my body into major recovery from problems that are affecting my life. I would have expected more exercises with real attention to how I was performing them. These were far too minimal to take me through to the next appointment she suggested in 14 days. All I was supposed to do were those two wimpy things for 2 weeks? That's supposed to help with my problems?
I have seen a physiotherapist in the past for an issue and he was much more attentive and better. He spent time with me on the exercises to make sure I was doing them properly. I'll have to go back to him. The only reason I didn't go back to him is because he has an open work space with other physiotherapists and I felt shy to do the exercises with other people around but now I realize how lucky I was to have an attentive physiotherapist in comparison to this.
I'm sorry to leave negative feedback but I really hope you'll consider this and do a better job with people moving forward.
