I have been to other places in Mississauga and this place is the best! You can tell just by walking in that Focus Physiotherapy is a professional physiotherapy clinic. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. My experience started off very nicely, my appointment was booked in an efficient manner, my first session was an assessment and I felt they took the time to identify all the issues of my problem. The treatment sessions were excellent I participated in an exercise regimen, was seen by physiotherapist would work on me and they would use laser or other equipment. I left with additional exercises I would do at home. I always felt I knew what was going on and when the recovery seemed slow I was encouraged by their knowledge that certain injuries do take time, especially since my job can be demanding and work would sometimes cause a flare up. In the end I have recovered fully due to the care I received at Focus Physiotherapy. I also feel I know how to prevent the injury from coming back. I understand the causes for my neck and back pain and am better equipped to prevent these things from happening in the future I really truly feel the team at Focus Physiotherapy Mississauga is awesome and it is the best physiotherapy clinic!

Highly recommend Focus Physiotherapy! My 77 year old father had knee replacement surgery 7 weeks ago. We began in home physio with Richard from Focus for twice a week for 6 weeks. The results were extraordinary - my father began walking without any aid or cane within 4 weeks, and after the 6 week post op appointment with the surgeon, he no longer requires physio given the strength and range of motion achieved. Richard is a highly competent, patient and kind physiotherapist who pushed my Dad and encouraged him along the way - highly highly recommend!! Worth the investment if you want your loved ones to recover quickly :)

I went to Focus Physiotherapy in Mississauga because my doctor recommended them. I was very pleased with the care. I had been to physiotherapy before so I was skeptical. This place is different. The physiotherapist who assessed me was always there when I went for treatment. She made sure I progressed and responded to my concerns. I became very active in my treatment and improved as a result. I went there because my ankle was hurting me in the morning when going down the stairs. It had been going on for a while but was acting up. I leaned how to protect my ankle when it would flare up and to watch for signs that it was about to. The staff at Focus in Mississauga really helped me. I had a very bad experience with the receptionist today. I'm a senior citizen and my Doctor referred me to have lumbar traction. I called around 2 p.m to enquire about the availability of this service at FOCUS. The receptionist said yes but when I mentioned that I'm on OHIP she told me that the appointment would be after two months. I said ok but she hung up the phone. I IMMEDIATELY called back to find a message that no one is available to answer my call. Fortunately, I was asked to leave a message ... which I did angrily criticising her behavior and requesting that they call me back. I'll check my phone to find out whether they call or not. I've found Focus physiotherapy after seeing a lot of "highly specialized" private clinics, and I gotta say I wish I knew them before and saved my self a lot of time and trouble. The clinic is highly organized and professional yet at the same time you feel comfortable and welcomed. I didn't face any problems when it comes to appointment on the contrary the front desk staff was really accommodating and understanding. The most important thing about this clinic is the fact that they REALLY listen to your complaints and offer a variety of treatment options that suits your specific needs. Also they will ask you how you're feeling each time you visit.

I really think this is a great physiotherapy clinic. I went there for my carpal tunnel and there was something that was wrong. The therapist was concerned about something and recommended a specialist. Apparently I did not have Carpal Tunnel at all and the physiotherapist at Focus recognized that! I was treated at Focus Physiotherapy and the result is I no longer have the pains in my wrists. I think the fact that the staff is very knowledgeable saved me a lot of pain and helped me recover faster.

I had a very severe vertigo attack affecting both my left and right ears in all four of my inner ear canals and Richard was absolutely amazing in treating me. Not only was he patient and thorough in his care and treatment, but he was also very effective. Although he had to do 8 consecutive Epley maneuver series in one visit due to the severity, after he completed the session, the spinning had ceased. Jean and Joanne (reception) were also great and very kind and professional in their demeanor. If anyone is looking for a physiotherapist I would highly recommend Richard - especially if suffering from vertigo as not many physiotherapists are familiar with this specific technique.

Focus Physiotherapy helped me get through a painful experience back in 2012/13 when part of my calf muscle was torn. I could barely walk without the use of crutches until I’d received a couple of weeks of therapy and, within another few weeks, I was walking normally and happy to be back at work. So, after many months and adjustments with a chiropractor for a lower back issue went unresolved during the pandemic, I once again contacted Focus Physiotherapy to see if they could help. Richard knew exactly what I was talking about when I’d mentioned the pain I was experiencing, and suggested a simple course of treatment. Along with some stretch/strengthening exercises, there is electric stimulation, laser and massage therapy and I couldn’t be more thankful. Today, I’m moving much better with far less pain, and look forward to being rid of it totally in the near future! The facilities here are clean and bright and the front desk was very helpful. I was referred to come to this location for physiotherapy after my recent automotive accident in the end of summer by TD Insurance. I felt the level of hands on assessment from the therapist was lacking and much of the prescribed exercises and treatment were ineffective in relieving my symptoms even after attending about 6-7 sessions. Much of the treatment revolved around me lying on the bed and them using those electrotherapy machines/pads (the pads cost me $10 out of pocket also) for 15 minutes with a hot towel on top. After that, it was just going through some exercises and that was about it. I felt like the level of attention was not put towards relieving my actual symptoms. There was also one time where I was admitted and laid on the table for upwards of above 35 minutes without any treatment at all until I had to get up and the front desk what's going on and THEN I was treated. So apparently the clinic helper or assistant was awaiting instructions from the therapist or I just somehow slipped through the crack. Essentially, I wasted that time completely. On top of that, since there's no parking anywhere in the area, I have to pay for parking so that just added salt to the injury. Being completely neglected for that long just didn't feel professional at all in my mind. Of course, they apologized after the fact but I'm just hoping this doesn't happen to others as I want others to just be aware. This review is not intended to be malicious in any way but just to let others know what happened during my time with this clinic. I feel that the overall service from the front was very helpful but the treatment and assessment aspect could improve.

Excellent! I have been to Focus Physiotherapy in Mississauga a few times for several different unrelated issues. I have always found them professional and effective. They take the time during the initial assessment to identify what has caused my pain and then outline a plan to get me better. The clinic has registered physiotherapists employed full time, which is different from other places I have been to. My sessions with the staff have always been excellent. Before going to Focus Physiotherapy I tried other clinics, Focus Physiotherapy is the best. I sent my family there, that’s how good I think they are!

After my first visit I knew I was in the right place. They took the time to make sure I understood what not to do while I was recovering. If you need treatment for injuries I would recommend Focus Physiotherapy because they get you better and try hard to teach you what to do to stay better. My experience was amazing. After months of a nagging injury and self diagnosing I decided to go to Focus Physio. Vandna was extremely efficient with diagnosing my injury, giving me effective therapies and at-home exercises to do that has a world of difference. I consider myself having a pretty good tolerance for pain and I’ve always said just leave it. It will go away. Well this time my handling of my pain didn’t cut the mustard and I finally went to a walk in clinic and got pain killers and a physiotherapist referral. Again I put it off but finally made an appointment with Focus. It changed my opinion completely around. I was greeted by two wonderful ladies and very soon was with Richard. He very quickly knew exactly what my problem was and it wasn’t what I had decided it was. I thought it was my chair I used at my home computer and he said nope it’s how I sleep. I’m a side sleeper and I put to much pressure on my left arm. He showed me how to use a pillow and then I got my treatment. They were all as gentle as they could be and did it hurt. ..yes but no pain no gain Since that treatment my shoulder has had hardly any pain and if I feel it coming on I immediately do the exercises he showed me and the pain goes away immediately. Went today for a 2nd treatment and shoulder feels even better I cannot sing the praises for the clinic enough. They are all wonderful and if you need a physiotherapist go to see them and if you can see Richard you are in the best hands there are. Don’t live with pain. They can take it away.

3 months ago I went about my business as usual. After work on the Friday went to Costco, me and my son made my groceries came home put my groceries away, do my little housework, and I went to bed. I got up on a Saturday morning in excruciating pain, didn't know what was causing it, so I went into the emergency and spent almost 6 hours there, and when I was finally seen by the doctors, they did x-rays but, nobody could tell me what was going on with me they give me some prescription for painkillers, then sent me home still in excruciating pain. One week or so later, I went back into emergency, again, seen by another doctor that did the same plus some blood work, because they wanted to find out if I had arthritis or whatever, then sent me home they with a reference to a specialist. I spoke to her and I was very disappointed because she spoke to me and I think, from my experience, she gave up on me before I could give up on myself. Anyhow, I told her that I still wanted to continue seeing her because I wanted to get rid of the pain. She sent me for some more blood test and blood work. When I got my results was, she told me over the phone that I had arthritis and, if nothing was done done, it could turn into osteoporosis. I asked her if she could refer me to physiotherapist and that's how come I got to know about you guys. I got the call from Focus Physiotherapy, went to see the physiotherapist, and explained to them, the same exact things that I explained to all the doctors in the emergency. The physiotherapist was very patient, he listened to everything that I had to say, and by the time I was done talking, he asked me come over to his computer to I want to show me a bunch of different diagrams, and he asked me which one best represents my pain. I showed him, and he showed/told me what I had (I forget the big name he used), anyhow I'm determined to get better and i allow him to do his do, I listened to all the information he had to say, and he instructions for me to follow. This is going on the third week from when I started seeing him, and I'm feeling so much better. I'm glad and thank god that I did asked the doctor for a physiotherapist referral. Thank god that I met this physiotherapist because today I am walking on my leg, without a cane, and the pain has subsided greatly. All I have to say is, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you Richard and your whole group. Thank you.

I've taken my son on his Orthopedic Dr. referral to this physiotherapy clinic, to get therapy for his knee injury, ACL-strain, not knowing what to expect, being to some other physio clinic, thought to give it a try, to my surprise, from the first day the therapist told my son after initial assessment that he sees problems with the way he walks and run, gave him tips how to fix them, and he got the treatment as well, the staff is very professional and feignedly, after the 3rd visit the pain on my son's knee started diminishing, after the 5th visit, the pain is completely gone, and the therapist told my son, he no longer need to come to the clinic. he already resumed his basketball games. this clinic is phenomenal, I highly recommend it, especially for people with sport injuries.

I have been coming to the Hurontario location for multiple years for different issues. I have seen the staff cleanse the chairs, beds & machines. They also cleanse their hands before and during each client. I have not used or seen anyone in the exercise room. But I am sure that would be the same. THIS IS NOT A FAKE review. I wouldn't wrote such a long msg just to fake it! It's my health what we are talking about here!! I'll send you an email but if it's not about getting at least part of my money back then don't even bother replying, Thanks.Richard was bad! I showed up 20min before my appointment like I was told to. They were late for 1 hour and 15min. I pointed out the area of pain during the assessment and he left the .machines work on the wrong area. I told him and he just apologize then he was about to leave until I ASKED him to treat me manually at least. He just rub me with gel. So I basically paid $100 for someone to rub me with gel not even in a special way. I can technically ask my little sister to do the same.. Very very horrible experience. I wish I can have my money back. I do NOT recommend this clinic at all!! Don't waste your money specially if you don't have insurance! Plus the receptionist was really rude over the phone and in person.

Sometimes they leave for too long. Sessions that are supposed to be 45 mins don't even add up to 30 mins. Overall, the exercises they recommended helped me a lot and I appreciate that.
