Manuel (Manny) Villatoro took over my physiotherapy for recovery and I was extremely impressed with his knowledge and techniques in helping me to heal. The specific exercises he gave and the IMS needling were extremely helpful in my recovery and proper strengthening to help avoid more injury and a speedy recovery. I started coming to the clinic at 18 after a car accident. When I first came in I was young, scared, in pain, and really confused about what was going on with post accident recovery. The team at LifeMark not only treated me as a person rather than a patient, but they also became like family over the 18 months that I was being treated by them. From my first days of treatment, all I remember is the reassurance I got from Manny about how everything I was going through is normal, and how everything would be ok. As a scared 18-year-old, I cannot express how much that helped knowing that they genuinely cared about my recovery. With kinesiology, Terryn helped me overcome things that I thought I would never be able to do again, and showed me I could keep pushing forward even when I wanted to give up. Massages with Richard allowed my muscles and joints to relax to the point where i could be a functioning human being. In occupational therapy, Cydney helped me piece my life back together and get into a normal routine that would seem so basic to other people, but I would not have been able to do it on my own. even though this is one of the most professional medical establishments I have been to for recovery, they never once made me feel like I was just another patient coming through their doors. The amount of times I laughed at this clinic supersedes anything else. if I were to recommend one clinic to anyone it would be this clinic. they will not only take care of your body and mind, but they also take care of your soul which is the most important part of recovery. I will never be able to explain how thankful I am to everyone at this clinic for everything they’ve done for me in my recovery. I give you 1000 stars⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I came to Likefmark because they were one of the few clinics in the Kelowna region that offered vestibular (concussion) physiotherapy. I was linked up with Manuel (Manny) Villatoro who was able to address all of my needs that were correlated to an MVA accident. I attended the clinic two times a week for Physio and once a week for RMT. While there Manny was able to help with my severe concussion problems, separated shoulder, TMJ, hip problems, and muscle tension. He was able to do this a well-constructed plan that involved Dry needling, Stimulation, Strength and Conditioning, Acupuncture, and what I believe to be the most important, good communication on what he expects.

If you have a rotator cuff, neck, back pain you need to see Tess Mihell. Tess accurately treated my shoulder which I thought was a chronic condition and now I am pain free! Tess uses IMS therapy and a massage that targets problem areas. I religiously did the exercises she printed out for me until I forgot about the pain. I realized after about a year that the pain was back and that I had been remiss with the exercises! After one treatment and doing the exercises I am once again pain free!

Over the past 3 years, I have had multiple shoulder dislocations. After a discussion with my doctor, the best decision for my health was to get a shoulder surgery to reduce the chance of future dislocations. My biggest concern after the surgery regaining my mobility and range of motion in order to do the things I love. Over the past 6 months, my physiotherapist Scott has helped me to not only make a full recovery but has helped me become more confident in my abilities. Scott was very knowledgeable and I appreciated his patient education each session. A big factor to the success of my recovery was that it was very goal oriented and Scott was conscious of the things I wanted to accomplish once I made a full recover (eg. running long distances again, playing ultimate frisbee, snowboarding, etc.). As soon as you walk into the office you feel safe and welcomed by the girls in reception....I was introduced to Scott ( the Physio Therapist ) who quickly developed a program to assist in my knee recovery. Scott developed a rehabilitation program that was customized to assist in a faster healing process...these programs increased in intensity over the 6 weeks that made my recovery relatively painless.. I believe the 3 sessions decreased my recovery time and now I'm ready for the SKI season...BRING ON THE SNOW.... I really liked that the exercises I was to complete at home were followed up by an email with a link to a website that repeated the instructions and included a short video for further clarity. I had an ache in the area of my left SI Joint. I saw Scott Pinder at Lifemark Sport Medicine CNC. He was very thorough in asking questions about my injury, and checking my movement before diagnosing my problem. He treated me with technique to relax the muscles and then performed two different types of traction to relieve the ache. I knew right away that his diagnosis was correct when he had me do another squat, after his treatment, and the pain was already less. He sent me home with specific exercises and a stretch to do at home with videos of them for me to refer to. His instructions were clear and I began to see improvement right away. I would recommend Scott to anyone with an injury.

Manny did a thorough assessment and then week by week, through mutual agreement, increased the difficulty of my home exercises to build strength and flexibility based on my progress. Each week he reviewed new exercises to ensure I was doing them correctly. He based his IMS placements on my progress as well. I found him compassionate, respectful and knowledgeable.
