Being a very active person can sometime lead to injuries. Falling off the cliff while skiing resulted in a torn medial collateral ligament in my left knee. Professional Arm Wrestling was causing an enormous pain in elbow joints and a shoulder. Thanks to Cale and his magical shockwave therapy I can be my best again: either at 10K run or at the Provincial Arm Wrestling tournament. I love going to coronation Physiotherapy they are very friendly very knowledgeable in the techniques that they use and teach you to relieve pain and sports injuries back pain any type of pain car accidents is great it works the Shockwave treatment that I just received helped my sciatica tremendously I was able to go back to work and I was also able to resume my gym regimen and I would recommend anybody that has any kind of injury to the back or any parts of their body to definitely give Shockwave a try but if you are going to give it a try I do recommend coronation physiotherapy they are the best by far I have been going to them now off and on since 2011 my experience with them is great and I would definitely keep going to them as a patient. And I do recommend that if you are going to go to coronation Physio and go to the Shockwave treatment go see Cal he is very knowledgeable and he is the only one that actually has brought that machine to Edmonton to that clinic and he's the only one that knows how to use it there's only two in Canada and coronation physio is one that has it there's another physio place that has one similar to it but not as sophisticated as the one there.

My Experience! After receiving an MRI scan and other diagnostic tests, I was diagnosed with L4 and L5 bulging discs by my Neurologist. I was placed on a heavy dose of Gabapentin as a treatment for the pain. The consequence of the treatment left me unemployed and walking around in a zombie state. I also experienced a numbing in my foot which I was told by my Physician that it was nerve damage. It was stated to me that I would live the rest of my days in pain, with the numbness and taking Gabapentin. I personally chose to start the process of withdrawing from Gabapentin and learn to live with the pain. I am now down to 200 mg a day. Yippee! In researching for a good Physiotherapist, I found Cale! After one “Shockwave” treatment, the same night I had feeling back in my foot! After one treatment the pain subsided from a seven out of ten to a three out of ten! I had my first eight hour sleep in about a year!! I also have to give Cale kudos for not only having a kind and caring disposition but also for gaining the knowledge of such a technique! Thank you Cale! Thank you for giving hope back!!

This was my second time at Coronation, and I am grateful again! I went in with pain in my knees, as a previous x-ray showed osteoarthritis. Turns out it was soft tissue damage so after doing prescribed exercises I am back to normal. What a relief! I can continue on with exercises that will help me be healthier. Thank you Cale!

I came to Cale with a partial tear in my supraspinatus which had been causing me issues for nearly two years. I had tried traditional physiotherapy which helped, but it seemed like I hit a wall with my recovery. After my first visit with Cale I noticed a significant improvement in my pain and stiffness. His combination of shockwave therapy , physio excercises, and manual manipulation is very effective. I am now back to swimming pain free.

I recently had Shockwave Therapy for a bunion on my big toe joint, prior to this treatment I had extreme pain in this and this condition has been getting worse for the past few years, I have been told the only treatment is surgery, and that I was "not bad enough for that yet" so I decided to give Shockwave a try, the results have been amazing, the bump on my toe joint has decreased and the pain is basically gone. I would highly recommended if you have bunion pain and are waiting for surgery Give shockwave a try,. not only is the bump much smaller my toe has straightened out, I can walk on it for hours with no pain! Great treatment, and Cale is very knowledgeable about this treatment.

I had a labrum tear and repair surgery was in a lot of pain was told about regenerative shockwave therapy.ive had it done and it’s night and day since my first treatment it works so well I’m in no pain now and the numbness I use to get in my hand is gone. I would recommend this therapy to any who has had the same type of surgery and is in the pain and discomfort I was in you will be a happier and healthier person for this decision

When I first went to Cale Parkyn I could hardly bend over, suffering excrutiating back pain. I wasn't able to run, nor walk half a block without experiencing major discomfort. With his shockwave therapy and specific exercises he got me back running within 1 month! Absolutely amazing. He gave me my life back after I was couch bound for 8 months. I have been receiving Shockwave therapy for a couple different issues including Hallux limitus, Plantar Fasciiatis and increased lower limb mobility/flexibility. With his help I have made some great progress. I find in addition to helping with flexibility the Shockwave reduces pain.

I saw Cale Parkyn yesterday after damaging my knee. I was deeply impressed with his assessment and manipulation of the injury. Shockwave therapy and prescribed exercises have helped. What has been the most helpful has been Cale's assessment of the injury allowing me an understanding that I would not have otherwise and allowing me to develop my own strategies for remediation and approaches to prevent a reoccurence of this injury. Unlike others I have seen in the past Cale did not push me to schedule further treatments but indicated that with excercise and stretching, the pain should diminish and I should return to full functioning. Shockwave made a huge difference for my shoulder (recently torn rotator cuff muscle, which was causing pain while I was sleeping and limiting daily activities, PLUS 20+ year old torn rotator cuff muscle that limited my movements and activities in the gym) and foot (recently jammed plantar fascia) with just one treatment. I have done 4 treatments and would recommend this to anyone. Takes several months for the full effect to take place, but it's very effective. Thanks for helping to keep me running Cale!

Dr.Cale is the best physiotherapist I have ever been to. He has addressed so many long term injuries and issues I've dealt with from various sports. I jumped around between various different physio clinics and chiro’s in the Edmonton area for over a year, and found very little success in healing my chronic foot injury/back and hip pain through the rushed assembly-line approaches that were implemented in most clinics. Cale was the first physiotherapist to thoroughly assess (and re-assess) my entire body, listen to the changes I was experiencing at every appointment, and take the time with me to really figure out was was going on.
