I got hurt at work doing excessive shoveling and raking. I woke up one morning and my hands were contracted shut and I could not raise my arms. I had severe pain in my wrists and elbows as well as constant numbness and tingling in my fingers. I was sent to Physio in a small community 2 hrs from Edmonton where I was working. They treated me for a full month for tendinitis and carpel-tunnel. I left every day in pain and even after my hands opened back up, I didn't even have the strength to open a bottle of water. I had given up hope when the specialist told me to continue with physio at a new physiotherapist in Sherwood Park. My 1st apt. with Satish @ East Gate Physiotherapy he told me "I can fix you". I laughed in disbelief. He used a technique that involved applying specific pressure in my shoulders! Immediately, I could lift my arms! After a month of disappointment in just one session he took an immense amount of pain away! Two doctors and two different physiotherapists and none of them figured it out. I had no idea my shoulders were the root of my pain. My next session I was very tense, as Satish had warned that I might be. When I returned he did acupuncture on me. I was skeptic at 1st as I never knew anyone who had it done before. He told me I would be relaxed and as soon as he did it, all my pain melted away. Again instant relief! I told him he is a miracle worker! I am entering my third week as a patient and my pain is down to a dull ache sporadically. The numbness is pretty much gone and I have no problems lifting weight. I am confidant that I will be back to normal in no time! Every appointment is a joy being greeted my Michelle at the front and even if I'm in any pain, Satishs' wonderful bedside manner brightens the day!

I received the best care for a dislocated knee cap, with Eastgate Physiotherapy I was able to walk a normally, and returned back to work doing regular work. I recommend Satish for recovery of soft tissue a muscle injury

I honestly wish I could share the experience of the other people reviewing on here. Satish and the receptionist were very friendly but the care I received for my ankle injury was very minimal and I never felt like I was getting expert or even personalized care. I only had a few sessions, I didn't have private insurance coverage so I was using AHS coverage, I made that clear from the first moment I saw Satish and yet I never felt that we made the best out of the time that I was there. I had an ultrasound & x-ray dinner weeks before my first session and Satish never reviewed the report until my last session, and that was while he was in the room with me and he looked at it for no more then 30 seconds, and didn't relay any information from the report to me that directed my care in any way. I always waited 30-45 mins to see Satish when I came, in the meantime the receptionist would put on the TENS machine and heat pack. He spent almost as much time asking about why I didn't have private coverage as he did taking about my injury on the first visit. I was hoping for an outlook/plan for recovery, which he never offered. On the third visit we didn't even review my exercises/he never gave me tips or advice for exercises to continue doing or what to look for in terms of improvement or regression. I honestly feel that I could achieve the same results looking up exercises online and applying TENS and a heatpack at home. Maybe those that go with private insurance get much better treatment, which is quite a shame if that's the case.

Eastgate Physiotheraphy is the best physiotherapy centre. Staff is so caring and dr Satish is a renowned topnotch in treatment. I went without appointment because of pain and they accommodated me immediately. I had a bad neck sprain and my right arm was in severe pain. Dr satish gave a physiotherapy treatment and got a relief instantly on severe pain. Best thing in this centre is they have some free sessions for low income people without any insurance covered under alberta health. Thursday Oct 27 was my 4th visit to Eastgate Physiotherapy and I could not have imagined the results I am experiencing. I have been in almost constant pain & walking with a limp now almost 2 years. After my last visit to my family Dr for Rx fefills in September I again brought up topic of unable to sleep through most nights awaken with pain in left foot and ankle area. I have 2 sets of heel spurs, one on back of heel & one on bottom of heel. I also have plantar facistic, arthritis and Achilles tendonitis all in left foot. After refusing more cortisone shots or Rx for stronger pain meds Dr said not more he could do except refer me to a foot specialist. I asked him about physio, as I have been doing alot of researching on internet on my conditions. Dr said I could give Physio a try. Two days after my first visit & faithfully doing my exercises through the pain I was starting to feel better and steady decrease in need for pain meds. By the evening of day four I was going to bed without pain meds. Some pain & discomfort still there but not enough for me to take anything for pain. I have slept better this past 3 weeks than I have in nearly 2 years and have not taken any pain meds in over 3 weeks. I moved here 7 years ago from Prince Edward Island and us Maritimers like our sayings. One saying we have back home when we find something good is " we've found a diamond in the ruff" ... Well I not only found a diamond in the ruff..... " I found the diamond mine" with Satish Pandya ???????? All staff are fantastic ???????? 2 yrs of pain and discomfort and 4 visits to Eastgate to feel 75% to 85% better...... I am clearly disappointed my family Dr did not mention Physiotherapy until I had asked.
