I had injured my back pretty severely in an unfortunate workout accident and was unable to live my life normally for several weeks. I had extreme anxiety about my injury and the possibility of having to live with it long term. The amazing people at Hamilton Physio & Rehab not only formed a personalized plan for my recovery but gave me a better understanding of what my injury was and how the recovery process would be. After several weeks of visits I am back to living normally with no pain and I know the proper exercises for continued recovery to make sure I don't have a problem like this again. Ami and Andrew made this process comfortable and straightforward, and although I'm happy not to need physio regularly anymore I will miss the weekly visits.

I came to Hamilton Physio and Rehab after a car accident left me with a very sore and sprained wrist. The receptionists were always above and beyond kind and accommodating with me as I would schedule future appointments and also the one or two times showing up late they were very understanding. Very friendly and caring staff. Always punctual, even if I was early I was never made to wait. Very accommodating of my schedule and the one time I had to bring my daughter the ladies at the reception desk kept her amused so much she didn’t want to leave. Meet was my physiotherapist and he made sure I was confident and comfortable doing the exercises. He took the time to ensure I was doing it correctly, and thoroughly answered all questions and made sure I understood. All in all I hade a great experience and will be returning for my post-op physio care.

Aged 70, this was my first experience with physio. Some of my friends expressed to me a very cynical attitude towards physio, saying it was" just a business", "don't expect any great (certainly not quick) results", "they'll pressure you to return, buy products, get massages, etc." How different my experience was from these warnings! I found my initial assessment by Avi to be quite thorough, very explanatory and completed with great sensitivity and empathy. When he asked if I was nervous or anxious, I simply replied that I was "excited"! This was a whole new adventure for me. The program Avi planned for me was quite varied and extremely well-paced, with appropriate increments of difficulty that continued "the adventure". As important to me was the very friendly, encouraging and accommodating attention given to me by the entire staff. I had some annoying paperwork issues with my insurance but the reception staff handled the many phone calls and faxes with a smile and grace. review date: july 20, 2020 customer since: december 2019 - march 2020, july 2020 i came to the clinic in late december 2019, seeking help with a left shoulder & elbow injury that happened at work. with the clinic staff's expertise, guidance, and support, i am now (as of march, 2020) able to perform duties at a comparable, if not equal level prior to my injury. a big shout out to the following staff members at HP+R for their help in getting me back to performing full duties as a rail loader/yard driver at autoport oakville: zo, patrice, david, ami, andrew, & nishanth. reasons to consider HP&R as a physio facility of choice: -good attention to detail by the clinic, when i was describing my injury on the phone. they are really good at pinpointing root causes and effects of problems. -clinic staff are sincerely interested in getting the client back to his/her pre-injury capabilities, not just about producing revenue like some other places are. -prices are competitive, and good value is provided. overall, i recommend consulting with a few other places first, and then calling and settling with HP&R as a clinic of choice, so that you can see the difference of what quality physio care is about.

I have been suffering from flexor tendon injury in my left hand fingers I Barely use my left had ring and pinky finger when I first came at Physio center I met with Ami and second day Nishanth he clean my finger properly because I was afraid that I might damage my fingers but He took time for me and did all the stuff then day by day both are working on my finger to move however, when I met the first day I couldn't even move my finger but after some days they work hard on gripping left hand and day by day I got strength and hope Now I am can easily grab anything without any hesitation because my strength and will power both are increase. Personally I enjoy each and every time with them it is hard to put on the words because we share lots of memories cracking some jokes. Ami and Nishanth both are like my mentor they are always with me even my bad and good time, this thing happen when I was student and for me it is very hard to take decision like surgery I remember I cry in front of they but they are always with me in my tough days. Main thing about Ami when we meet the first word from her mouth is Ronak what's new :) I will miss those word On the other hand, I will miss Nishanth torcher day ;). My experience here has been amazing and would definitely recommend this place to looking for a great physiotherapist! This has been my first experience with physiotherapy in general, but the knowledge and overall demeanor of everyone at Hamilton Physio and Rehab went above and beyond my expectations. One morning in the summer I woke up with an incredibly stiff neck and it was so painful I could barely life my head up to get out of bed, let alone do normal activities like drive or even walk around the house. It was a very helpless feeling so I decided to seek out help, mostly to help the pain but also to help prevent it from happening in the future. The staff here have helped me feel like myself again and have equipped me with simple yet effective stretches and strengthening exercises and now I can go back to my regular routine without worrying about straining myself.

The faculty here are polite and understanding. The doctors have pretty good accuracy in figuring what that root of the problem is and a regiment to help with said problems. Friendly atmosphere, plenty of windows and each room has a privacy curtain. While here for my physio the staff were nice to me and took their time with my treatment. They engaged in lots of conversation which seemed to help divert my thoughts from the pain. Very thoughtful. All in all, great place to come for physio.

I had meniscus surgery so my physio was not covered. I told them when I called and they were very helpful and understanding and worked with me to make it as inexpensive as possible. They helped me so much and I am now 5.5 weeks out and have just been discharged. I am moving so well that people are commenting on it and I'm almost pain free. I would definitely recommend them. I had a total hip replacement, when I first went I was unable to walk properly yet and was very unstable (I was using a walker and 2 crutches). I went in my first day and met some very nice polite people as well as got some ideas to get me started. By the end of my treatment I'm more confident with walking and I'm only using 1 crutch as my security. And I have alot more strength in my legs and have the knowledge and excersizes to get strong everyday! Thank you so much everyone who works there. You guys are amazing!!!

I didn't see any improvement. The worst part is that one physiotherapist is dealing with 3 other patients same time. Also all medical equipment is outdated. Moreover the laser part is not included and is always extra 20 dollars or so to your physio charge and that laser did nothing to me as that machine itself is outdated.

Pain from osteoarthritis in my left thumb had gotten to the point where it was preventing me from performing everyday functions, and even worse, riding my motorcycle. A neighbour mentioned that a friend of his with the same problem was having success with Cold Laser Therapy. Through online searches, I found Hamilton Physio had an excellent rating, and did provide Cold Laser Therapy. Within a couple of days, I'd booked an appointment with Hamilton Physio, had an in-depth consultation with therapist Ami, who laid out a six week program entailing hot wax, exercises, Cold Laser Therapy and use of a TENS machine. Have to say, service from the moment you enter the office, are cheerfully greeted by the staff, and work with the therapists, is simply top notch. Therapists Ami and Sofia kept advancing the exercises while keeping an attentive eye on my progress. Six weeks later, I have finished the program, and the results are amazing. Use of my hand has increased 100%, pain is minimal, and I can ride my motorcycle. Of course, osteoarthritis can't be cured, but by maintaining the daily exercises that Ami and Sofia had me do, this disease will hopefully be kept at bay for years to come. I highly recommend Hamilton Physio & Rehab to anyone that needs professional therapists.

I was referred to Hamilton Hand Specialty Clinic by my surgeon for my hand specific injury. I was very pleased with my treatment and I recovered very well in 8 physiotherapy sessions. The PT was extremely skilled and professional and kept me motivated during my rehab. When I started , I was barely able to pick objects, hold a coffee mug and had intense pain during the night. Now I am completely pain free during the night and having sound sleep with the custom splint and brace that the physio designed for me, also my abilities to do my daily function is close to 90% which is a dramatic progress for me in a very short span of time. Hi Kristen Lofthouse. It's hard to give a rating because my short time I was at the center. I was surprised that Ami Patel reassessment of my condition was not what I expected. It's like you guys gave up on me. I'm doing the exercise but the shoulder is still not progressing. I understand it's a long process for the shoulder strength to improve. I have other exercise from my chiropractor but it's a slow process. I don't understand why the shoulder isn't improving quicker. Pain levels is bearable and not constant. Professional and friendly staff. The physiotherapists listens to any complaints of your injury, and takes a look of what the cause may be. My ankle injury took awhile to heal. But I can finally walk and go back to my regular activities. Physiotherapy works. You just have to be consistent with it and it takes time. I highly recommend this place.

I have nothing but incredible things to say about the Hamilton Physio and Rehab staff and their services. I saw Jenny and Radhika during my treatment at the clinic. I had hurt my back at a work place accident and was diagnosed with two lumbar disc bulge. I could barely stand, could not walk straight or lift even a grocery bag. Physio was very through in their diagnostic testing and explained to me in fine details about my problem. Through out the plan I was well taken care off by all their staff and everyone played such a key role in my recovery. The staff seem to care deeply about my progress throughout and motivated me by setting functional goals. They filled all the forms and paper work was well taken care of, as with WSIB injury claim it is a challenge. Now I am near to normal in mere 4 weeks of treatment. Motor vehicle accident is something which is one of the most trying times of life. Getting back into the regular life after recovering from the accident is not easy, because the pain is something which not going to vanish. The same happened to me and I went for the Motor Vehicle Accident Physiotherapy service at Hamilton Physio & Rehab and found that they are just the best. The staff that I have all know their stuff and have been very professional and helpful in helping recover from my injury and also general follow up so far. These people are wonderful in taking care of backaches, hurting joints, strained muscles on your arms, legs, hips, ankles, veins and whatever problem you have with your posture, visit them they will bring you back to normal. I'm giving you my true testimony not playing any marketing of hear and say. I was referred to these people by my family doctor because of my backache which I had for a couple of years. Hesitantly, I went and given 6 week of 12 sessions. You might nit believe me if I tell you that I'm feeling much, much better than I first visited them. Having fractured my left arm in a fall in mid-February and having been treated at this clinic for another issue previously, I was quite keen to start rehabilitation as soon as possible. With such good results two years ago, I was happy to feel relief on the very first session with Avi. The elbow was very tight and limited and by my third visit, I was more than three-quarters able to extend my arm and pick up heavier objects. Avi taught me terrific (but easy) exercises to practice at home which aided considerably. The staff are friendly and helpful. Hamilton Physio & Rehab is a place where everyone is welcoming and knowledgeable. I went in with shoulder, neck and back pain. My upper body was tight everyday because of my occupation. Nishanth (Physiotherapist) developed a treatment plan that would not only alleviate my pain and stiffness but help me strengthen my neck, back and posture. Andrew (PTA) taught me exercises every visit that I incorporate into my daily life. Coming to this place was less like an appointment but more of a getaway to unwind and be taken care of. I loved having physiotherapy so much that I even started seeing the chiropractor who has been adjusting my back and neck. Dr. Manuel Gil is great and helps me feel a lot more flexible.
