Doing business with the guys at PineTree furniture was an absolute pleasure. My particular situation was time sensitive as I needed a bed frame right away for a rental I was trying to set up before leaving town for 2 weeks. After discovering the beautiful solid wood platform bed online, I sent Mike off an email which he then returned in under 5 minutes. I was able to arrange the payment details right then and there. And to go above and beyond, they went out of their way to shuffle around their delivery schedule so that my piece could be delivered before I left town. AND they assembled it inside the apartment!! I really couldn't have asked for a better experience. Mike, thank you from the bottom of my heart and I look forward to doing business with you again.

We went shopping to just look to see what they offered for bed options. Looking online, we could see that out of all options available, Porter's Wood Furniture had the best selection and quality of products. We arrived when the store opened and we were welcomed immediately. The sales staff were very friendly, helpful and receptive to our needs. We were left to explore without any sales pressures and all of our questions were thoroughly answered. In the end we purchased a bed and mattress for our spare bedroom and will be returning to replace our master bedroom set. We moved to Sidney from Edmonton several months ago, and we needed a new bedroom set. We shopped the usual big name furniture stores and were unhappy with the quality of the furniture and the prices they were asking. We saw Porter's Wood Furniture Co after we ordered a set from a big box furniture store. We went to the store and were amazed to find high-quality wood furniture, built in BC, and with very reasonable prices. We called the last store we had shopped at, cancelled our order, and ordered a bedroom set from Porter's instead. When delivery date arrived, the installers were polite, professional, and did an excellent job. Anyone who has ever sat in the middle of a pile of Ikea furniture parts with an Allen key would appreciate having the furniture arrive finished and installed by someone who knows what they are doing. The furniture even smells like wood - not glue. When we need furniture in the future we are going to go straight to Porter's. Nice people, great products, outstanding service. We couldn't be happier with our new bedroom set. Thank you, Porter's.

Over the past 8 years my wife and I have purchased a TV stand, dresser, desk and hutch, front hall table and most recently, a bed frame and night tables. It's pretty clear we like them, because we just keep going back. This is real wood furniture, not particle board or cheap laminate from a big box store. It looks great, and is sourced from BC manufacturers. Mike at Porter's Wood Furniture is such a pleasure to deal with-he doesn't pressure you or try to upsell you, he just listens and suggests based on your needs. The installation services are also excellent: professional, friendly and reasonably priced. I can't recommend them highly enough-great store, great folks, great service.

We made a recent move to Saanichton and required some new furniture for our new home. We looked at various retail furniture stores and found that they didn’t have the style or quality we were looking for. Our daughter advised us to have a look at Porters Solid Wood Furniture on Hillside Ave. We are so happy we did. This is a family business who prides themselves on quality solid wood furniture, good service and no pressure while looking. They do give excellent advice and are happy to assist when required. We really liked the quality and style of furniture they offer. Furniture that will last for years and years if looked after. We dealt with Mike Porter and he was so very helpful to us. We can’t express enough what a positive experience this was for my wife and I. We highly recommend that you give them a chance and your business. I purchased a bed, desk, set of shelves and a chest of drawers from this company. The bed and desk are great. The shelves had a large manufacturer's sticker on the underside of the top shelf that left a lot of glue behind when I tried to remove it, and the glue won't come off. I waited 2.5 months for the chest (I was told it would take 8-10 weeks), only to find that it doesn't fit the space I bought it for. The dimensions listed on the website are incorrect.

Staff were extremely helpful and polite, and the product quality speaks for itself. We had the burden of trying to match some old furniture in a stain colour that had been discontinued, and the staff contacted the manufacturer for us and were able to get exactly what we needed. Went furniture shopping with my wife and had to check this place based on the reviews. The service was below average as the person was on the phone for 15 minutes doesn't seem to be talking about the business, did not even greet us. We end up walking out and still nothing? Maybe they had a bad or something. Maybe we'll stop by again next time and see but we did not find it outstanding by all means. Gave us some time to compare, prices on the high side compared to a couple others stores. In all fairness we gave it a true 2 stars as the store was decent.

Nice people selling solid furniture at reasonable prices. But if you buy a bed here, I'd recommend getting your mattress somewhere else. We've bought both foam and spring mattresses, and they've both begun sagging after only a few years.

We recently bought a bedroom suite for our 3 year old and were very impressed with both the quality of the furniture and the customer service. Mike was wonderful and even made a return accommodation for us when one of the pieces wasn't going to work out. When comparing prices to "the giant Swedish place" it cost us about 10% more at PineTree for a large leap in quality. Absolutely worth the small price difference. We'd recommend PineTree Furniture to anyone and will definitely be repeat customers!
