It's an odd thing to say "I look forward to going to therapy" but I do. I've been going since the end of June after a very bad fall. I fractured my left wrist and injured fingers in both hands. Both Kayla and Lynnette in reception are warm, friendly, and competent. I've been very fortunate to have Paul Gumbley as my therapist, and more recently, Allison, as my kinesiologist. I have made huge progress and I owe it to their consistent treatment. I have absolutely nothing negative to say and highly recommend them both.

She is a great massage therapist with compassion and empathy. I highly recommend her. I have numerous Autoimmune Diseases that include connective tissue inflammation and nerve pain and she has helped immensely. I also have been seeing Sasza, Acupuncturist since 2009 and she has helped me so much especially with nerve damage that caused Trigeminal Neuralgia and the Vasculitis I have. Saw Amanda for two additional treatments and by the completion of the third treatment, the shoulder and neck pain was completely gone. I was treated (am currently being treated) as needed, options are being suggested and offered, all paperwork for ICBC being handled, I never feel like I am giving too much information. I see both a physio therapist and an active rehab therapist and massage therapist and they actually talk to eachother to make sure there is continuity and that their treatment complements the others. I am looking forward to expanding my rehab into the pool, and appreciate the pass to continue the pool rehab on my time also. I switched for convenience and am staying for the honestly wonderful care.

You get a free pass to use the Esquimalt Rec Centre while you are there anyway, so we got our workouts done and used the pool. I was able to get the same doctor whom I had for the last quarter of my military service (who now works at Lifemark), so he already knew my medical history, which was helpful. I've been to a couple physiotherapists before but it was nothing like Lifemark. Elise is very experienced and good at what she does and she always listens to my complaints, which my previous therapists really haven't. Quite frankly the best hand therapist I've ever had. Melissa is also great, her work with acupuncture on my shoulder and physiotherapy has helped me greatly. They're both extremely friendly and do everything in their power to help you get better. If you'd like to be treated by real professionals in Victoria, these two are 100% your best bet. Also, a quick shoutout to Ai-lien, as she is really great with making a schedule fit for me. I would like to thank Zach especially for his pleasant, accomodating and efficient way of scheduling all my appointments. I went to Lifemark Mckenzie for physiotherapy, kinesiology and massage treatment for the injuries sustained due to a motor vehicle incident. The treatment received from Maria (physiotherapist), Allison (kinesiologist) and Amanda (massage therapist) was top rate. I have the pleasure of benefiting from their professional, compassionate, understanding and effective approach in treating my injuries. They all have helped me a great deal with my mobility issues due to my pelvic fractures. I still see Amada for bi-weekly massage due to some pain I still experience. The OR2 program through Lifemark is excellent. The knowledge of the staff is top notch. I come from a fitness background but with there current up to date stretches and specialized exercises geared towards my injury helped greatly with my progressions. Utilizing my gym knowledge with there stretches and exercises has allowed not only greater mobility but able to control flare-ups at work. I am so happy to have made a full recovery from a torn calf muscle. Paul was wonderful and knowledgeable. I was worried I would re-injure my leg and miss even more work and sport. Paul knew exactly how to target the injury, was gentle in the massage and ultrasound. After my first visit I felt accelerated healing. On the second visit I limped in and walked out. Definitely 5 stars. To the front desk staff and in particular for my physiotherapist Melissa. For the past two years, the pain in my left knee (from a previous sports injury) has progressed to a point where I have to struggle to go up/down several flights of stairs, or to stop after 10-15 minutes of walking. In a short three months, I saw positive results. (No more afore mentioned pain!) Melissa taught me muscle strengthening exercises and more importantly helped me establish a routine that I can and wish to follow. She is positive, knowledgeable, resourceful and kind. Some one I am so glad to have met.

I had a car accident last year of 2017 and I have been seen by Amanda Erickson, Registered Massage therapist at Lifemark Mckenzie .Due to my injuries and the kind of work that I do, I have pain all over my body. My muscles are sore upon awakening in the morning and sore from work. Because of her love for her profession ,she does it with so much dedication and teaches you a lot of things so you would be able to manage your pain. We all know pain doesn't just disappears but with her work ethics I am able to manage my pain whenever I go and see her for an appointment for Massage. I would highly recommend her to my co- workers that work in a Health Care setting. I have also seen Maria Christian, Physiotherapist from my last car accident last year 2017 and whenever I have an injury from work, she is my first person to go to whenever my doctor says go see a physiotherapist. When it comes to treatment and rehabilitation she has done a lot to help me get back on track.She has treated my injuries and that's why even with so much pain because of car accident and the everyday work, I am still able to continue to do my job as a Health Care provider caring for the Elderly. The staff behind the desk are excellent in helping you schedule your appointments and helps you understand a lot of things about your claims may it be an ICBC or work related things and or Health Benefit Plan. There is always somebody to talk to when you call and explains to you what your options are. They are the forgotten unsung Hero, without them things wouldn't go as smooth as we think.

Im a 34 year old male who came to Lifemark Physiotherapy with a lower back injury involving 2 protruding disc’s between my L4-L5 and between L5-S1 spinal cords. I was not happy with the communication between the doctors and myself, about the severity of my injury and the process that it would take to get back to my normal day activities. Once getting into the clinic and spending time with the team, even just a after one day, had a better idea of what I had to do to manage the pain as well as strengthen the muscles I needed to recover. It’s not an easy road to travel but with great help, encouragement and knowledgeable people in their respected fields it was easier for me to accomplish my goals. I would recommend Lifemark Physiotherapy to anybody looking for a great team of people to travel with you on that road.
