Small and loud, old. My appointments went from 1 hour and progressively got shorter and shorter with literally the same therapies every time even though my insurance was paying for hour long appointments. Started seeing them for a hand injury and even though I had a prescription from my doctor for one, I repeatedly asked to have some sort of wrist support/brace made or fitted and it never managed to happen in 83 treatments. Bottom line is they care about how many people they can cram through in a day and bill insurance /government. Total joke. Been trying to have my file sent to my new Physio for over a month and they can't seem to make that happen as it's not important to them I guess. Found a new physio and it's like night and day. Calm, new equipment, quiet and relaxing, many different therapies. Best of all, actual 1 hour appointments like my insurance is paying for. I guess if you've never really done much physio or don't know much about the human body you would be happy enough with this place. But don't kid yourself, it's all about getting people through the door and as many as you can a day.

Tina and Tara are the best physiotherapists I know. They are professional, knowledgable and very helpful. I got injured a month ago and they were the ones who saved me. I am now back to my regular activities after feeling so hopeless. I 100% recommend visiting this clinic, not only when injured, but to help you improve mobility, flexibility and strength. Also, they do direct billing!! ;)

2017 I broke my back and required (L5 S1) surgery which is a microdiscectomy. In layman terms, all the jelly in the lower disc in my back blew out the side and hardened, pinching the biggest nerve in your body the S1 nerve. This nerve pain creates suicidal and back breaking pain. (I was unable to walk) taking seven percocets a day. I was fortunate enough to be operated on by Dr. Salo in Calgary one of the top back surgeons in Canada. Now, If your unfamiliar with a microdiscectomy surgery the rehab/rebuilt process is critical to successfully living a active lifestyle once again. Given the situation I was unable bend, lift or twist for 6 to 8 weeks. Picking the right physiotherapist to help me recover from the surgery, was a big decision. I was referred to Tina Carter @ Advanced physiotherapy from a mutual friend. Tina work with me for a full year until I had almost perfect full motion in my back again. However, even though Tina put together an amazing plan and was tracking my proficiency. I, myself put in every single ounce of work that she gave me, after the follow up sessions to move forward with the recovery. In my opinion, the physiotherapist responsibilities are to create a program for you to fulfil. it’s on you to take those tools and use them every single day until your healthy. Take the exercise chart they give you, stick it to the mirror in your bathroom and fix yourself. No one is gonna do it for you. It wasn’t the physiotherapist who decide to play contact sports, extreme motorsports or get hurt at work. Lastly, I would 100% recommend Tina Carter/ advanced therapy to any of my friends and family to assist in the road to recovery. Baro

I've been coming to Advanced Health Physiotherapy and Hand Clinic on and off for a few years now. I was initially seeing Tina for a shoulder/knee/leg injuries related to playing sports. Tina had clearly explained what was wrong with my over all alignment and posture. She then explained how the exercises we did would correct my issues going forward with constantly doing them away from the clinic as well would speed up the recovery. This was greatly appreciated and extremely useful. After the Grand View clinic opened I started going there as it was closer now for me. I have been dealing with Tina there as well, along with Betty. Both these ladies are amazing at their trade and with Betty's help in the stretching clinic I have gained movement I haven't had in over a decade. There's a great atmosphere in both clinics when I have gone. Every time I have had to go in, there has been nothing but super friendly and professional staff. I highly recommend this clinic to anyone considering physio or stretching. These two locations know how to get you up and going again in no time.

2017: Returned to Advanced Health with a thumb injury related to a work claim. Was immediately given exercises and treatments to focus on my recovery to get my back to work, was always booked in very quickly and fit in the same day most times! The physios are incredible and willing to spend the time to teach you everything you need to know, Tina specifically is amazingly knowledgeable. Would reccomend. 2016: Went to Adavnced for a shoulder injury, assessment was fast but thorough, and my physiotherapist Tina was amazing! Treatment consisted of massage, needling and ultrasound. Left feeling like I had a whole new shoulder and lots to work on in terms of proper body alignment, protect and strengthening of my shoulder. Would definitely recommend the ladies are all very knowledgable and professional!

I went to Tina for moderate but starting to become long term shoulder pain. I couldn't figure out what was wrong with me, she had it figured out within minutes. 2 over developed muscles out of balance with an underdeveloped muscle in my shoulder pulling everything out a whack. You would think getting fit would mean your body likes you more but not always. I would highly recommend this location for sports injuries. My chronic shoulder pain had almost completely disappeared 2 weeks after seeing her, doing the excersizes she had recommended. I'm now back at my sport at 100% with no fears of reinjuring myself. :D thanks for taking the time and being just so amazing!

I have been a patient at Advanced for over 15 years. My physiotherapist is very professional and helpful and I would go back to her whenever I am in pain. However, my last experience was spoiled by the receptionist Marissa. She was rude and discourteous. I was kept waiting for almost half an hour for my appointment. I was puzzled when a patient who arrived 20 minutes behind me got called in ahead of me. At this point, I inquired re. my delay. Marissa just told me that there was no treatment room for me. During my treatment, I confirmed with my therapist that the assignment of treatment rooms should be on a first-come-first-serve basis. This makes me wonder whether Marissa has her own system in room assignment and I found her attitude leaves much to be desired. I will still go back there for my therapist but would like to have a better experience at the front in the future.

Terrible experience! The physio session was OK but the experience makes want to never go back. The front lobby is a mess when you walk in. And the staff don't bother to look up from their phones long enough to even say hi or greet you in anyway. I find the staff quite rude and will not be recommending this practice to anybody.

They book appointments for a reason. Had to wait around for over half hour to get called in and the therapist there didn't even do a proper assessment. Meanwhile, while I was waiting to be called in for my appointment, the phone rang and rang and the receptionists just stood around chit chatting rather than answer the phones. I had to rebook a scheduled appointment, called for over 1 hour with no answer. Terrible services!

Came here for back pain and John, the physiotherapist here listened to my concerns and was very helpful in his treatment plans. I was referred to him through some colleagues and was not disappointed. He was able to provide some relief from my pain on the first visit and recommended some exercises and stretches I could do at home. He is very knowledgeable and expresses interest in expanding his scope of practice to include other treatments in the future. I will be coming back simply due to John and his excellent service.

It's difficult to put into words how much I appreciate being referred to this clinic by an acquaintance of mine last year after I broke my right (dominant) wrist. Everyone at the clinic is so skilled and knowledgeable. Tina is a certified hand therapist and knew exactly where to start when I was able and also prescribed do at home excercises that increased my movement exponentially. When she is away I see Tara, who certainly knows her stuff. Everyone at the clinic is so friendly that it's been so much easier to deal with the pain of gaining back my range of motion. Honestly, I believe I may have given up long ago, if not for getting to know the staff there. I certainly recommend this clinic to anyone needing any type of physiotherapy.

Well I started going to this clinic 1.5 months ago for a work related injury. I honestly didn’t have high hopes as this had been an on going issue and nothing helped at all from chiropractic to massage. This past injury had put a huge dampner on my life and a new injury to the same spot nearly crippled me. I was put under Tara’s care and she started my therapy 2 days after the re injury. Within a week I was standing straight, 2 weeks the pain started going away, after a month I felt better than I had in years. I am now happy to say I feel 100%, I’m able to go to the gym as well as sit stand and walk properly! Tara’s (and Advanced) therapy has literally been a life changing service to me!! She is also one of the nicest, most caring, and incredibly knowledgeable professionals that I have ever dealt with without exception. The facility is clean and organized, incredible staff, and all the equipment you need. Regardless of your therapist, you will receive the best of care and a structured rehabilitation program from true professionals. I hope I never have to go to physio again, but if I did it would be there. Theres also a massage clinic up stairs which is quite convenient!

I’ve been a patient of this establishment for almost two years after a serious injury where I lost most of the use of my arm, I’ve been to many other physiotherapy places including the UofA hospital after my last surgery and none compare to Johnny and his team here at advanced health physiotherapy. Most places asked me to read books that explains pain but here they go hands on with the latest techniques. I’m amazing by the changes I’ve felt and seen since I’ve started going here. They helped physically as well as mentally, and have made the road to my recovery a lot less bumpy thanks to Johnny and his amazing team.

Extremely terrible service from reception - my mom booked an appointment here and when she showed up, she was told the therapist was not in that day. When asked why the office did not call my mom to reschedule, the receptionist said that they tried to call but no one answered. When asked why they did not leave a voicemail, the receptionist said they did not leave voicemails. You are telling me that you don't leave voicemails to clients and would rather have them show up to a confirmed appointment time that you then cancel? Are you kidding me? Extremely unprofessional and unfortunate.

The staff at this clinic were friendly, nice facility and the parking was not too bad.My hand was injured at work and WCB sent me for physio. I am not an expert on hand physiotherapy. I attended a number of visits from October through to January. Jessica seemed to do a good professional job. If I had the chance to do it all over again, I would not choose this place. I never felt comfortable there from day one. I was happy when it was over.
