I’ve had many massages, but this was a first. The masseuse used no pressure and no movement. Did one pass of my leg and even when he hit a hot spot he just kept going and didn’t do any target work. He does not know what he’s doing and it was a waste of my time and money. Lucky for me I found a great masseuse now! Wouldn’t recommend this place only because even when I cancelled all my scheduled massages and put dissatisfied, no one ever bothered to follow up with me.

Edited to add... Today, I came in with a more specific issue than normal. After discussion, Randi worked on an area with intensity. By the time I was done, significant improvement in the troubled area. Even now, several hours later, lasting improvement. I been a client of Courtenay Massage Therapy for many years. Over the years Katie and her team have assisted me in healing back issues, frozen shoulder, taught me Soma Yoga techniques and so on. For the last year and a bit I have been seeing Randi. From the very 1st visit Randi has made me feel at ease. Sometimes we are working on specific issues while other times I just "let her go" and her intuition takes over and she will find things to work on. Almost every single time I have either a physical reaction... like I have just had a great workout, or an emotional release from the treatment. I have never been shy to recommend Randi and the team at Courtenay Massage Therapy.

I have been to see Tim Rhodes at Courtenay Massage Therapy and am very impressed with the treatment I received. His natural intuition for this form a healing work, coupled with his academic commitment and understanding of massage therapy made this experience wonderful. I found the massage to be one of the most relaxing massages I've had while at the same time addressing chronic muscle tension. All of my treatments have been at least the length that I have registered for, if not slightly over. The curiosity I have toward what is happening with my body has always been answered by Tim as well at the end of a treatment. I never feel rushed in and out of a treatment with him. The final thing that I appreciate with Tim, is his schedule is very flexible: he works some evening and weekends and you are typically able to find a time to book on fairly short notice.

Went in for a 45 minute massage. I'm a student and asked about prices and length of massage because I am on a budget. Not once did they tell me that my 45min massage would be 15min of talking and only 30min of a massage! Poor service....you should tell people what they are paying for especially when they ask. Not impressed to pay $88 for 30 min massage. Not cool. Won't go back.

I have been receiving some treatments from Katie at Courtenay Massage Therapy and really want to share the experience with others. I have a few health issues that I deal with every day, one of which is osteoarthritis. It is a sneaky condition that moves around the body, causing stiffness, pain, and often a feeling of general malaise. It has been a relief to find a treatment that works, giving several pain-free days following each treatment. As well, Katie teaches you self care methods which can be done at home to keep the therapy active and ongoing. I highly recommend Colton Ritchie as an excellent massage therapist, and I have tried many wonderful rmt's. I am a woman in my mid fifties with a history of chronic severe neck pain and headaches. After only 3 sessions with Colton my neck was pain free for the first time since my mid thirties. He relieved pain recently with a mvi to my lower back. My massage therapist is Julia Eilerts. I have been getting massage services from various places and different RMT. She has been the best RMT that I ever had. Her intuitive touch and excellent skills have been helping me enormously to recover from my countless injuries from strenuous activities which include broken left pelvic bone and torn three ligaments on my right knee. I have been practicing as a registered nurse on the acute care setting where physical fitness is critical for my career. She understands a nature of my work and lifestyle. She incorporated her best critical thinking into her practice. She has been paying attention details of my muscles tension and applying variety of techniques that I haven’t experienced with other RMTs. I believe that her compassion toward each individual supported fast healing and encouraged me to learn how to connect my mind and body. She loves her snowboarding and kick boxing practice. Overall it is my and my spouse’s true pleasure to have her as our RMT. I highly recommend her. I would say that she is 10/10.

I had my first massage experience with Nicholas and I have to say it was wonderful experience(albeit a little painful…in a good way, of course!). He was very knowledgeable and took the time to figure out what my issues were and what had been bothering my shoulder. As I was a newbie, he was very helpful explaining the process to me so I wouldn't be surprised by anything. Nicholas took his time with an initial assessment and provided a very thorough explanation of what he could do to help me. The treatment itself was very relaxing, he played some great relaxation music and went to work; within no time he found a handful of things that could have been causing my discomfort. After the treatment Nicholas supplied me with a variety of exercises and stretches that could assist me. In conclusion, my shoulder has felt much better since I’ve gone to see Nicholas and the stretches have really been helping not just my shoulder but my entire upper body feel much more comfortable. It was a great experience and has definitely convinced me that I’d been missing out on the RMT experience this entire time. 10/10 could not recommend enough!

I saw Sydney years ago and remembered her being very knowledgeable and thorough with the assessment. When I found out I’d be back in the valley I tried to get in with her again but she was fully booked. I was however able to get in with Randi and was treated with the same thoroughness, knowledge, and professionalism as before. Randi is the best RMT I’ve ever been to - I’m disappointed I don’t live here anymore and won’t be able to make regular appointments. The office space is also clean and relaxing
