I didn't end up getting massaged. I was in desperate need of a massage and was so looking forward to getting some relief with the non-registered girl Mandy for half the price. I showed up at the door for my appointment to find all the lights off and the door locked. It was then I checked my email and saw a "appointment cancellation,' but I had no idea why. I thought maybe there was some sort of mix up with their online automated system. The girl and the male RMT got back to me by phone a couple hours later and I realized there was a voicemail from that morning at around 8:30, but my phone had never rang. One of those calls that doesn't ring and goes straight to your voicemail. Why do some businesses do that?? Fortunately it wasn't too far out of the way for me to get there with my 3 children and my mother driving me, having her babysitting all lined up, though it was disappointing...apparently the girl was sick and didn't want to risk getting her customers sick but I guess I feel like there should be some sort of compensation. Most Massage Therapy Businesses still charge you a portion of the appointment cost if you do not give them a 24 hour cancellation notice because you are wasting the therapists time and they could have had another appointment with someone who would've payed full price. In the same way - that was even less than 12 hours notice - and it was a waste of my time. Obviously everyone's time is valuable. I think some type of compensation would be appropriate - but then you never know the attitude of the person - giving when they don't really want to. I understand sickness can come upon you, maybe she woke up sick but if she had been even possibly feeling sick the night before, I feel she should have cancelled her appointments the night before. I happened to have an extremely busy day that day and didn't see her email. I don't have any resentment or anything and honestly I can't stand it when people come on here just to air their negative experiences all day. I don't normally do this, but I thought I would share this time and I have decided NOT to return and somewhere else my business.
