I have been dealing with debilitating pain due to pelvic and spinal malalignment for several years. I sought diagnosis and treatment from many professionals in several fields, but could find nothing that would remedy the problem. Finally, after learning about Plaza Physiotherapy, I traveled from out of the region for an initial examination. I've been getting treatment from Dr. He for some time now and, although I am not yet finished, I’ve made a lot of progress, and am so grateful to be getting better. I find Dr. He to be incredibly knowledgeable and uniquely skillful, and am amazed that he is able to produce such positive changes in my body. I wholeheartedly recommend him and the clinic. I have chronic neck and shoulder pain and had tried various treatments like physio, chiropractic, massage, laser …the list goes on and on! The one thing that I appreciated Dr.He was how he examined and explained to me the root cause of my pain, during the initial consultation. It makes total sense to create a treatment plan to deal with the root cause than to just ‘stop the pain’ temporarily!

I was recently visiting from Norway and was in search of a physiotherapist. It was my first time doing physiotherapy in Canada and I am glad to have been referred to this clinic. The staff makes you feel welcome once you step through the door and I always felt comfortable during the visit. The physiotherapist was extremely knowledgeable, sincere and genuinely cared about my treatment and provided me a thorough assessment to take home since I am only visiting Vancouver for a short time. Every part of the treatment was thoroughly explained and I was provided 45 minutes of direct attention from the physiotherapist. Additionally, the at-home exercises provided were carefully demonstrated to me to ensure I was able to replicate them once I left the office.

Never had physio before, by my therapist Stephanie was nice, helpful, had a sense of humour, and had a soft touch. She patiently explained the physio terminology and was happy to explain on their science-room skeleton what was wrong. While the experience was sometimes uncomfortable (when she's checking for what pains me), Stephanie was always checking to make sure she wasn't pushing me too far.

Last year I had a very painful thumb to the point that I couldn't even hold a pen. My doctor said it was probably arthritis and nothing could be done. I was recommended to Dr He by a family member and after just four treatments my hand was back to normal. A year later it is still fine. I would not hesitate seeing him for any treatment in the future. Dr He was very professional, kind and understanding. I've been dealing with chronic shoulder pain for about 4 years now. When I used to live in Victoria, I went to the Myo Clinic where Dr. Siren did dry needling to relieve my pain when it would flare up. I moved to the mainland a year and a half ago and during lockdown my shoulder pain flared up again and it persisted for months. I was on endless amount of naproxen and T3s to manage my pain. The pain was so severe that I ended up at the Burnaby ER where I waited 6 hours just to get a hydromorphone shot and was told to go home. When the drug wore off, I was still in pain and I was very frustrated with the medical healthcare system. A friend had recommended Dr. He and when the first lockdown was over, I booked my first appointment with him and the pain subsided. I went to see him again one week later and I was no longer in pain. I stopped taking naproxen and T3s. He helped me manage my pain whereas the medical doctor's (GP, physiatrist) only provided bandaid solutions. He genuinely wants to help you get better. Dr. He is a miracle worker!

I had my first ever professional physio appointment the other day with Anthony Chen. I have never been one to think of physio as important to incorporate into my life. After one appointment, I now know that I was completely wrong about that. Anthony was extremely professional, knowledgeable and significantly relieved the tension in my neck after one treatment. I am also not the biggest fan of needles but he made the IMS treatment very quick and painless. I am excited to continue to work with him to improve my neck tension and other issues I have. Definitely recommend going to see Anthony if you are looking for a good physio!

Where do I begin? I cannot believe the positive results post-treatment in my spine alignment since I have started acupuncture therapy with Dr. Sen He about a month ago. Since my first MVA in 2011, I have had ongoing low and and mid back, and neck chronic pain, soft tissue damage, agitation, frequent migraines and headaches. Irritability of prolonged sitting or standing. Restricted exercise due to inflammation post work out; and becoming rather lazy to ease the pain. However, as we all know with laziness comes weight gain, tight muscles, and low mood. It is a never ending cycle. On the contrary, I trust Dr. He will permanently heal my broken back as I am already feeling more energized and overall more relieved with my back issues. It is literally a miracle! I feel stronger and motivated. Eager for life again. I am able to focus for longer periods of time with less frequent migraines which allows me to pursue my dreams. For over three years I suffered from intermittent bilateral hearing loss, accompanied by sporadic inflammation, pain and consistent low-grade irritation.
