THE BEST PHYSIO EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD. I recently came to HealthFirst Physio to see the physiotherapist, Maria George, after previously having no luck with treatment upon seeing 3 different doctors, 1 massage therapist, and 1 other physiotherapist. I had been experiencing pain throughout my arms and shoulders for almost a year when I finally got some relief through this treatment. Step by step, Maria addressed and treated the pain I was experiencing not only where I was feeling it, but also at the source. Previous professionals had told me that I simply pulled my biceps tendon, but Maria found that I actually pulled my coracobracialis. What I appreciated most about this treatment was the fact that she not only treated the pain directly, but she also treated other contributing factors. By treating the true source of the pain - being MANY tight upper body muscles in the arms, shoulders, neck and back (surrounding the scapulas) AND poor posture - I can safely say that my upper body feels better than it ever has before. She gave me some excellent and very doable excercises, she was very respectful in terms of figuring out payments (I am a poor student), AND she has great availability! At another Physio clinic I had to wait almost a month to get an appointment, but when I called Maria, she was able to see me the very next day!! One of the best things about this clinic is the broad range of treatments offered! I will be visiting again to seek treatment for my TMJ (jaw muscles and joints) because I grind my teeth. My mom is currently seeking treatment for hips and lower back as well as treatment for tennitis (ringing in the ears). Truly excellent services are offered here at HealthFirst Physio, I can not recommend this place enough.

I was referred to Maria through a friend who attended her clinic for physio services and was very pleased with her treatment. I must say I have never had a physiotherapist with the techniques that Maria uses. She is amazing and after a few sessions my body is feeling much more at ease and less painful. I find Maria to be very kind and listen well to my complaints and her explanation of how she will treat me and the plans she has for my full treatment are welcomed. Providing me with exercises to do at home as well to keep my mobility is very helpful as well. Her receptionist is very kind and helpful when booking appointments. I look forward to going to see Maria for my sessions because I feel so much better afterwards. I would highly recommend this clinic for your body aches and pains. This woman has a lot of knowledge and expertise in working out the mechanics of our old bodies.

When I think back to how I found Maria and health first physio, I truly believe it was a gift!! Not only is she an amazing physiotherapist, she’s a lovely human being. I honestly thought that I would be living with pain for the rest of my life or on medication. Which was terrifying because I had just turned 40 when I met her. She assured me that she would do her best to help as long as I put in the work. It’s been about 3 months and I CANNOT explain to you how wonderful I feel and how truly grateful I am to have found her. Went to Maria George for a shoulder injury. Very happy with treatment. Very knowledgeable and hands on,saw improvement after every session. Every visit she would work on shoulder for 45 minutes to an hour. Have had six sessions so far and shoulder is coming along very well. Will continue until I feel I am good as new. Thank you Maria
