WOW WOW WOW!!!! If you are visiting Banff, this place is a must!!! I have never been to a spa with this kind of relaxing vibe. Right from the moment you walk in your stress starts to melt away. Everything is so nice and comfortable. The desk staff was so nice and made me feel right at home. Then the message ???? This was far and away THE BEST MESSAGE IVE EVER HAD!!! I traveled lots and tried massages all around the world and nothing compared to this!! Like I said, if you're in Banff, do not miss your chance to go to this next level spa.

Beautiful/knowledgeable staff, modern/comfortable setting and even a delicious juice bar for afterwards! Amie answered all my questions and even suggested some not so touristy activities to do while I was in town. Definitely stopping in every time I pass through Banff. Highly recommended!!

This space is absolutely gorgeous and everyone was very nice. This pregnant body was very pleased to be squeezed in on short notice after my first hike here at elevation. That said, I expect more given these prices. They advertise pregnancy massage on their website yet had no bolster to comfortably lay face down. Instead I had to lay on my side, which is fine, but it makes getting the deep pressure I like awkward. The room was cold. Give how cold it gets here even in the summer evenings, I find it odd they had no way to heat a room more than the ambient building temperature for people that will be half naked (extra blankets don’t help for the parts of the body getting worked on). The massage itself though relaxing wasn’t as therapeutic as I had hoped given my achey muscles. To top off the whole experience, I was told only at the end that they were only taking cash and debit at that time. It ended up not being an issue, but I could have easily shown up with just my credit card. I had made the booking last minute; it would have been more helpful to tell me beforehand. I wanted to love this place given the great reviews and gorgeous photos but ultimately left feeling disappointed.

I would definitely recommend this spa. It is very intimate, very tranquil from the moment you walk in. Right away I was greeted by a really friendly lady at the front desk who offered me refreshments and a chance to relax in their beautiful yoga studio. ( I wish I would have taken pictures but I was too present in the moment) The infrared sauna was the perfect start to relax my body before the massage. Michelle was my RMT and she was fantastic. Put me right at ease and listened to me so she could identify my needs during the massage. She even gave me tips for how to manage the tension in my target areas. 10/10 for the whole experience!

If you’re looking for a relaxing tranquil experience look no further than this hidden gem. C&S goes above and beyond and it shows in all the little gestures that make you think “oh that’s nice ????” from beginning to end. I had the best massage, Amie was very attentive and it was almost as if she knew what my body needed. I ended my stay in the infrared sauna and it was literally the best combination. Also the sauna has views of the mountain which make it extra special! Highly recommended and will absolutely be going again!

Absolutely fantastic massage from Amy. One of the few massages I’ve had where the areas on my body which I noted needed tending to were addressed exactly as I had hoped. She used a combination of warm oil, hot towels, and different scents in the room that all added to a wonderful and relaxing experience. As an RMT myself, I have a high standard for who I get treated by. Rae is outstanding! Her ability to read and gauge what the body needs is amongst the highest skill sets I have come across. The ambiance of Cedar and Sage Co is serene, instantly calming and rejuvenating. This is my new favourite place to get treatment. The treatment additions like heated eye pillows and heat packs are especially lovely. So impressed with Amie's work and the team she has assembled. If you go here, rest assured you are in amazing hands (literally).

\After nothing but hiking, camping, and road-tripping for the last three months, our bodies and muscles have certainly been taking a bit of a toll! We made contact with Cedar & Sage Spa while in the city of Banff, and organised for ourselves the ultimate relaxation package. Located on Bear Street in the heart of Banff, we walked into Cedar & Sage and instantly found ourselves feeling calm and at peace. Decorated beautifully with timber furnishings, low lighting, the gentle sound of music, and the scent of essential oils - it is clear that a lot of thought and small touches have been made to ensure that this space is one in which people come to feel nothing but calm. We were greeted by the lovely owner Amie who welcomed us and explained that Cedar & Sage has been in operation now for just over two years, and she is proud of the team that she has working with her - therapists specialising in massage, nutrition, reiki, reflexology, and yoga - a fit for every customer’s need. We were kindly encouraged to sit and relax for a few minutes, and offered some water and hot tea before being introduced to our massage therapists for the afternoon, Rae & Lucy. We all made our way into the grand treatment room, a spacious and private room which consisted of two massage beds, a sauna area, and a large double shower. The ladies explained to us exactly what our treatment would consist of today - a hydrotherapy shower, a 45 minute infrared sauna experience to help with warming and relaxing our muscles while opening our pores, followed by a 60 minute massage experience. Rae & Lucy were fantastic at making us both feel incredibly comfortable and at ease. We discussed with the ladies what particular parts of our bodies were tighter and sorer than others, and which areas we felt we needed extra focus on. We were very impressed to hear that the 60 minute massage would be 100% tailored to our preferences. Rae & Lucy explained to us how to operate the showers and the sauna, provided us with fresh towels, and also gave us the option of using essential oils - we were left alone for 45 minutes to shower and enjoy the sauna before the ladies would return back to the room to commence our massage. The shower was amazing, and we had the option of adjusting both the water temperature and pressure. Once we rinsed off, we applied some essential oils to our lower back and entered the sauna - again with the ability to adjust the temperature and lighting in here.. we were already in complete relaxation mode and our massage had not yet even commenced! Once we were back on the warm heated massage bed’s, Rae & Lucy re-entered the room and our 60 minute treatment began. With all of the long drives that we have done through the states recently, the ladies identified that we were both holding a lot of tension in different parts of our bodies. Specialising in these sorer sports, our massages were tailored to our neck, upper and lower back, and back of thighs - with lots of deep tissue work, and encouragement of blood flow. The entire 60 minute massage was ultimate relief and relaxation. It was a much-needed experience that left us feeling calm, peaceful, and grounded. Once we had re-dressed and emerged from the treatment room, Rae & Lucy met with us in the waiting area and explained to us individually what techniques they had used, and their recommendations for our bodies moving forward including stretching information and ways in which we can release muscle tension. We enjoyed a warm cup of herbal tea and fresh glass of lemon water on the couches before we departed - a perfect end to our treatment package. Cedar & Sage also specialise in full day retreats and yoga, perfect for birthday’s, parties, or just something special for you and your friends.

I booked massages via email/phone for myself and three friends for a weekend trip. Communication was swift, professional, and much easier in comparison to other Banff spas. My friends and I were thrilled that they were able to accommodate all four of us at the same time. The spa itself is so cute, tons of natural light, plants, concrete, and wood. We were offered glasses of water on arrival and had a few minutes to sit in their lounge before being brought into the treatment rooms. The treatment rooms are dark, cozy, and the massage tables were SO comfortable, like little cocoons haha. The treatment itself was so good - all of my concerns were treated and the hot towels and weighted eye mask was such a nice touch. All of us agreed that we had some of the best massages of our lives, and left the spa blissed out and super relaxed. Thank you for such an amazing experience - shout out to Amber for literally the best massage I've ever had. I can't wait to come back here!

I got the couples massage (The first couples massage I've ever had) with my boyfriend. The ambiance is fairly nice. I should've arrived earlier to fill out the form beforehand, but they finished our massage later to compensate for it. If I were to do it over again, I would have asked to know all their massage oil ingredients before the day of the massage because even the super hypoallergenic massage oil made me itch and possibly was the reason why my nasal passages closed up for much of the massage.

We booked our massages way in advance and when I called day before to confirm our appointments and move it by 15 min. due to our previous appointment possibility of running late, I was told that no matter what we won't be able to receive the services we've booked because the spa needs to be clear for yoga class at 7pm. If I knew that before I would look for different place. And then the massages itself were simply a joke. One lady massaging my husband didn't know anything from simple repetitive move and my was simply midiocare. The spa personale attitude wasn't nice at all. The restroom facility for the spa is outside of the spa shared with other businesses in the building. I wouldn't recommend that place at all. It's over advertised with how relaxing it is but in reality it's not. Pictures on their website does not reflect the reality. The spa overlooked roofs of other buildings. Not recommended at all. Spend your money somewhere else.

Atmosphere incredibly soothing and calm. The wooden decor, muted lighting, candles and rest areas are comfortable and inviting. All staff professional and friendly and the therapists are top notch. Mine not only listened intently with a goal set to heal but when she found some areas needing more attention she was able to relieve years of knots and tension. Chronic tendinitis in both arms has plagued me for a decade but now seem almost healed. Please do yourself a favour and visit regularly. I’d like to make the drive from Edmonton more often for more healing.

I agree with the other reviews on all fronts (nice location, great massage, friendly staff) but the only disappointment and hence only 4 stars would be the lack of amenities. I was hoping for a change room with lockers, a bathroom seperate from the mall, and maybe some comfy robes. I arrived with shopping bags and my purse which I just carried around with me. Hindsight should've left stuff in the car. Really nice spot though!

I received an aromatherapy massage with cupping. It was my first time using their services. I love their welcoming and relaxing space. My massage therapist, Edna, was very good at checking in about how the pressure was. I asked for a deep tissue massage and she was fabulous! I left the session feeling completely relaxed in mind and body. The only thing that could've made it a 5star was the room was close to the front desk area and I could hear some conversations. It wasn't too distracting and didn't last long however it did take away some of the experience for me. Overall a great place to go for relaxation and I definitely will visit again.

My husband surprised me and booked a massage on Mother’s Day at Cedar & Sage. It was a wonderful experience and I will definitely be going back on my next visit to Banff. I went in for a 60min massage with Rae, and not only did I receive one of my favourite massages ever, she took the time afterwards - remembering I had mentioned I maintain a yoga practise - to show me some stretches / ways to work the muscles myself. I'm not much of a splurger, but this was quite special. I would actually suggest sending someone as a gift, as well :)

Tucked away inside of a shared building is a beautiful tranquil spa. Super friendly staff and excellent massage therapist! The only small downside was that in the infrared sauna you could hear people talking out in the shops atrium. I just put on a classical playlist on my phone and was easily able to relax. The rest was perfect!

This was my very first massage and it won't be my last! This spa is so relaxing and wonderful. I chose to pick relaxation as my massage style of choice and it was perfect. The room was so serene with essential oils and lighting and ambiance- they didn't forget a thing. My wife and I booked a last minute couple massage with Cedar & Sage. Everything about this place deserves a 5 star. Everyone was extremely nice and welcoming, including the receptionist who was great at facilitating the reservation and accommodating our 5 min delay. The atmosphere is very calming and soothing and the rooms are very well designed. As for the massage itself, I can easily say that this was the best massage I had so far in Canada. Definitely worth the money. Christie and Edna were our massage therapists and they did an awesome job. Will definitely be coming back.

I had the most wonderful morning at Cedar & Sage. I knew that after a day of skiing, I would want a relaxing spa day that included yoga and massage, which is exactly why I booked "The Traveller" retreat package. Upon walking into the beautiful space, I got to choose my "teatox" from a variety of tea options. Once I had settled in and had some time to enjoy the space to myself, the day began with a one-on-one restorative yoga class with Marc, focusing on breathing techniques and long, relaxing yin postures. After yoga, they brought me a beautiful, nourishing breakfast, once again to enjoy all by myself in this peaceful, energizing space. Finally, we ended with an incredible massage that included reflexology. I still don't know how to properly put into words how amazing I feel after such a therapeutic, uplifting experience. All I can say is that if you're looking for a relaxing spa day in the mountains, I would highly recommend Cedar & Sage, and booking with Marc who was absolutely phenomenal. I know that I will definitely be back!

THE BEST!! This spa is exactly what Banff has been looking for. The staff are absolutely amazing, I walked out of there after an hr long massage feeling completely rejuvenated. I had a 60 minute massage & 15 min oil scalp treatment. Reception and therapist were lovely and welcoming, the place had a relaxing ambience as well as the room itself. The massage table was cushioned well! Something I didn't like was the folky indie music playing as it had a moderate tempo whilst having my massage, I eventually ask them to change the music to something more relaxing, which they did without hesitation! The treatment itself was nice, though I did ask for more pressure because it was too light, the therapist did alter the the treatment to my personal preference!

Have to say everyone was very friendly and the place is beautiful. Room was a bit cold though and the bed wasn’t as comfortable as what I’m used to, bed sheets were a bit scratchy. Massage was ok but probably not worth the price, didn’t seem to be able to target the muscles that needed to be worked on, didn’t feel much better after to be honest. Weren’t told until the end that they only except cash and credit as well, I think that’s something you should be made aware of beforehand.

First of all this place is overpriced for what it is. When we got there they were behind schedule by about 15mns so we had to wait. The massage itself wasn't very good. My girlfriend ended up with a headache shortly after the massage and it didn't go away for 2 days after. Also her neck was sore after the massage and she thinks the masseuse screwed it up by lifting her head and pulling on her neck too hard. There was a rattling in the waiting room from a fan and it wasn't very peaceful. It was extremely annoying.

Cedar and Sage, 5 star! I was visiting Banff and looking for a spa. Checked google and theirs had some great reviews. So I went with them. Exactly what I wanted. Right downtown. That spa feel. Very warm and inviting. And my therapist was great. I highly recommend a the infrared sauna before the massage.

I stumbled upon this spa one day wandering the mall and felt an immediate attraction to it. You'll know you chose the right spa as soon as you step inside; from the comforting design, beautiful rooms, and delightful staff, you'll surely have a fulfilling experience.The staff really make sure they're there for you. I chose the Great Wetaskiwin experience and Veronica was my masseuse. She noticed trouble areas that other masseuse's hadn't and made sure she paid my body the attention it deserved. The Infrared sauna was absolute relaxation accompanied by perfect music, all while being witness to a serene snowfall outside. I will definitely be returning in the near future and will be highly recommending this spa to others.

We had a great experience at the Cedar and Sage. Right as you enter their office everything was well focused on relaxation and healing. There is aromatherapy and herbal tea at the start of your appointment. The massage therapists (Veronica and Mark) were very good. Highly professional and continued the focus on relaxation and healing. Would definitely visit again.

Love love love! Cedar & Sage is an oasis of relaxation in the centre of Banff. Highly trained and professional staff who are warm and welcoming. Love the juices and smoothies here as well. Yoga at the lounge also offers mountain views and a relaxing atmosphere with some of Banff's most quality teachers. My fave spot! :)

Went for the “Wetaskiwin Experience” with my wife. Absolutely spectacular! The facility is beautiful and calming. The infrared sauna was divine and the wonderful shower! Then we had our 60 minute massage. Basia was absolutely amazing. Gave me a wonderful deep tissue massage and was so polite and wonderful. I have NEVER had such an amazing experience anywhere. Absolutely must visit!!

Was visiting from the US and wanted to go for a couples massage. From the minute that we walked in, it was the exact vibe that we were looking for- very calming serene and clean. The staff was super accommodating and welcoming the little studio itself was adorably decorated and extremely zen. The couples massage room was amazing and cozy. The massage therapist did an AMAZING job. This was by far the BEST massage we have gotten and I have gotten numerous massages. They are very skilled and were doing techniques that I have never experienced from other therapists. It helped so much for our muscles as well as for relaxation. We wished we could get another one the following day. Would recommend Cedar and Sage for a massage 1000 percent!

We didnt know there was Christmas parade and book couple massage appt at its peak time. My partner couldn't find parking anywhere for for 30 mins and had to go back to our hotel to park the car and cab back to the spa. By that time we were 45 mins into our appt time and I am anxiously waiting for my partner to arrive asap so we can have at least of 15 min of shoulder massage. When I'm about to cry our massage therapists came up to me and offered to rebook the couples massage for another time with no additional charge. I was so very thankful and absolutely made my trip to banff because I know they get charged by hours and they had to wait more than 45 mins for us but didn't charge us for it due to events out of our control

Wonderful atmosphere and decoration. Massage tables are uncomfortable I have had a sore neck since my massage from the position of the headrest, never had neck problems before. For how much the massage cost you would think they could invest in better tables. Also save your money and don't bother with add-ons for $45 you can get a full pedicure not just some scrub rubbed on your feet and wiped off with a dry towel.

We had the couples massage and both thoroughly enjoyed it. After a hell of a time finding parking, because Banff we easily found the spa. We relaxed up top where they have yoga which was nice but a bit different. They obviously lack space so it was a bit weird not having a shower and steam first and relaxing in a lounge but for the area it makes sense. If you want this they have a package called the Wetaskawin where you can do this in your room. The bathroom was shared and outside which was also a bit weird but not a deal breaker. Our RMT’s were great I had Basia(sp) and she was extremely kind and intuitive. My hips and back needed work but I also wanted to relax so she did the perfect balance. Honestly I could have just passed out right after and woke up three days later. The spa had a relaxing atmosphere and was clean. My biggest regret was not buying a cute bracelet I was eyeing up before paying. Worth every penny and because they have RMT’s you can put it through extended medical so buy that cute bracelet!

Sharp modern facilities with a highly professional staff. I've been to several spas while on business in Banff and my experience at Cedar&Sage was one of the best spa experience I've had out west. Absolutely amazing experience from the second I walked through the door. I arrived stressed and late after a nightmare drive from Edmonton but the lady at the front desk (I didn't catch her name but she had brown hair and a very pleasant manner) made me feel at home immediately, offering me water and a chance to catch my breath. I felt awful for showing up late but I didn't feel rushed at all, they were so accommodating. My massage therapist was Edna and she was absolutely wonderful, she got all the right spots and I left feeling like a new person. I'll definitely be back once things start to reopen!
