I have been in and out of this office over the past 10 years, when anything isn't right, Richard is the first person I trust to get me back up and running! There is nothing that makes me happier than sports, and I am positive I would not be able to function like I do today without the help of the Lifemark Physio team. The support staff are excellent and super friendly, usually after the first trip they know your name, your story, your injury and show genuine interest in how the recovery process is going. If you're looking for a positive healing atmosphere, with friendly caring staff that makes you feel like you're part of a family, this is the spot to go. What Richard does: When I was playing competitive hockey and my shoulder was about 90% better, I was often playing with it taped. As our trainer was away one weekend, I had no where to turn to get my arm taped properly. Richard found out about this situation early that week, gave me his personal contact information and told me to text him and he would meet me to fix it up. Sunday afternoon at 1pm, he met me at Lifemark, opened the doors, taped my shoulder to get me going and sent me on my way. That's the kind of service you can expect from here. Thanks Richard and Team for many great years of laughter and service.

Just wanted to say a big thank you to Justin and the rest of the team at Lifemark, South Trail. I had an 18 year old back injury, where I was in a lot of pain. After seeing and receiving treatment from Justin, he was able to successfully diagnose and treat my injury, where I was able to get back into the gym and play soccer without any pain. I've also had other soccer related injuries, which Justin has been able to successfully treat and put me back in a better shape. Very knowledgeable, adaptable and patient in how he applies his knowledge and assessment of the injury or pain. I've started to recommend him to friends as I know they're going to be well taken care of. Also all the staff are friendly and it's a great atmosphere.

I have been going to Lifemark South Trail for many years now. I have gone to a couple other places in that time out of convenience, closer to work, etc, but always go back to Lifemark, where I get the treatment that fixes me faster! Playing the sports I like to play, I don't like to have down time that keeps me off the field or out of the gym. The open concept in the clinic is very welcoming and fun - it gives you a feeling of community. I have referred anyone I hear mentioning they need physiotherapy to go to this clinic! I have also recently started receiving massage and have had a great experience with that as well!

Such a unique clinic, they are very want and friendly. The staff really tries to make you enjoy your experience there. Your whole experience, right as soon as you enter the clinic, cannot be any more hospitable. It feels like living a scene right out of the "Cheers" tv show where you are greeted by the whole staff. I have been in to see Frankie and Richard for physiotherapy, both of whom have been phenomenal in helping me recover from my injuries due to the MVA. Their massage therapists work alongside the physiotherapists and target the areas that are causing you the most discomfort. Myself and my family have been coming to see Richard for the last 12 years for treatment on various injuries we have had. Recently I had double knee surgery and on my first treatment Richard diagnosed a potential infection in both knees and told me to get back to the hospital. Luckily for me he was right and the infection was caught quick enough that I did not suffer any permanent knee damage. I would highly recommend Richard and his team for any treatment you may need, the staff is very friendly and they have a very relaxed atmosphere at the clinic.

For more than a decade, I have seen Richard for a number of job related injuries. Primarily lower back, groin strains, and most recently rehab for a torn hamstring. Richard and the staff treat the patients like family, so much that I have also brought my daughter to the clinic for a variety of competitive dance injuries as well as my son for treatment for volleyball related knee injuries. I would highly recommend the clinic for professional and genuine care.

I stopped coming here about a year ago. Figured i would still share my experience as I still tell people about it . Came in with a double knee injury which later was diagnosed as a meniscus tear on both knees. The physio I had was Reid Chittick. Because of the way my injury happened. Reid's comments were "wow sloppy night". As it happened on a friday evening when I was out with friends. He then did some tests and basically told me I was faking it otherwise I'd be in the hospital. Put some elctro shock therapy on me and charged me $100. I later got my doctor and another therapist to look at it. And yes meniscus tear in both knees. It didn't present how it typically does but a few simple tests done right did the trick. These physios go to school for years just to put some elctro shock therapy on you and send you on your way.

I have been to this clinic for at least two years. Nicole Henning has provided excellent massage therapy that was crucial to my shoulder recovery to get me fully mobile again. She offers cupping, deep tissue and active release therapy as part of her toolbox. I highly recommend Nicole as part of a recovery regime or as a bonus to yourself. She is knowledgeable and was able to cater to my ailments for a speedier recovery. She is very friendly and the environment is a very positive atmosphere.

As a former Olympic athlete I have had hundreds of people work on my body and no one is as hands on and caring as Richard Merritt and his crew at Lifemark Physical Therapy. I have recommended this clinic to anyone who needs physical therapy. From young athletes to older folks. You will come to this clinic and you will laugh and smile and be cared for and most importantly you will heal. I am here now for my rehab after double hip resurfacing and it is still my number one choice. Warning: if you are grumpy, have a bad attitude, or are generally a curmudgeon please don’t come here. The positive attitude that this clinic has will probably rub you the wrong way. But if you are positive and are ready to smile and laugh and have a great time while getting back to health then you will love it here.

I have been going to Richard for over 10 years now to help deal with my severe scoliosis. He is extremely knowledgeable and very helpful, and the only reason I haven't required surgery yet. He was the only person who figured out my left leg was shorter than my right leg and he also figured out that I tore my ACL before any doctor was able to. He has also helped with many other injuries I have incurred over the years, 2 torn hamstrings and ACL reconstruction. In addition to my injuries, he has also helped with my son Colbys wrist injuries. I would highly recommend this establishment and Richard to anyone who is looking for a physiotherapist/ clinic.

At this clinic, not only is the treatment exceptional but all the staff are very friendly and welcoming. Personally, I have been seeing Richard for almost two years and I could not be happier. I compete quite competitively within my sport and whenever I get injured, Richard has always been able to help me. His treatment is phenomenal and it is undeniably evident that he truly cares about his patients and their recovery. He has gone above and beyond when I have asked for assistance and not once have I ever been displeased with the care I have received. I would highly recommend going to this clinic.

As I age, I find my body unable to keep up with the activities that I enjoy, and that; unfortunately means various ailments that require regular visits to the South Trail Lifemark clinic. I've never had to wait for my appointment and if I am not able to meet with my regular therapist, I am comfortable in knowing that I can get in with someone else. My ailments are quickly and accurately identified and a treatment plan is developed. I enjoy the open atmosphere and dialogue that exists among all the patients and staff. You feel welcome and appreciated the moment you walk in the door. Now if only they could fix the aging process :)

I can't say enough great things about the amazing staff! I am always made to feel very welcomed and cared for. Richard has treated each member of my family thru various injuries and/or post surgery rehabilitation and always goes above and beyond to ensure healing is on track. Not to mention he's hilarious! Any time my boys get hurt now they call Richard first - even before me! Gina is the best massage therapist ever! She is so knowledgeable and understanding and I feel completely at ease. I'm always amazed at how much better I feel after seeing her.

Matt is the best Physio I have ever had. I grew up as a gymnast with many injuries seeing the Physio often. I have been to many all over Calgary; but never had someone care so whole hearted for my overall wellness and give such personalized treatment. Every treatment Matt does everything he can to get me feeling better than when I walked in. All the staff here are so caring and willing to go above and beyond for my full recovery. I will never see another Physio and would recommend Matt to anyone.
