I had a great experience with InHome Physio in Edmonton just last week. I'm currently living in Toronto and my mom is in Edmonton. When looking for a place to take my mom I asked around and got a recommendation from my friend Amanda. My mom has bad arthritis so I was a little apprehensive at first hoping to find her the best care in the city. When I provided details of her condition, the receptionist was very diligent with collecting all her health information and repeated the details back to me. After the treatment my mother raved about how pleasant an experience she had with one of their professionals, Kory. Very personable and professional. I am happy to say I found the best care for my mom in the city and for future visits I do not hesitate because I know she is in good hands. Highly recommended.

HCR Solutions and their professional team changed my great uncle deans life. My uncle dean had been gradually losing his mobility to the point where our family was looking into moving him to an assisted living facility. He could not continue down the road he was on as he was struggling to do the small things around his home like grocery shopping and getting himself to the bathroom each time he had to go. We looked online to see if there were any options out there to help uncle dean and we found HCR solutions. They assessed him in his home and began working on him mobility immediately. He has made incredible gains and now we are comfortable that he will be able to maintain his home for years to come. We are so great full for what HCR solutions has given to our uncle. We recommend HCR Solutions to anyone that is in the same predicament as we were in.

I explained very carefully to reception that I was calling from Australia to arrange and pay for in home treatments for my mother who lives in Calgary. I explained to reception that my mother has a bundle of health problems ranging from her heel to her knee and hand, but on top of that she also has terrible osteoarthritis which causes severe chronic pain. I also highlighted my mothers nerve problems which cause itches and tingles which doesn't allow her to sleep. I made very clear that mom needed a full assessment of the range of problems, and that I was willing to pay any amount necessary to get results. On the day of mom's first appointment, Loring (the physical therapist) was not informed of the range of mom's problems and did not come prepared. She indicated that she was not prepared to conduct a full assessment because all she had been told was that mom had osteoarthritis. For example, she didn't bring her high massage bed which would have helped conduct the assessment. I am very disappointed that Loring did not come adequately equipped and prepared because I made very clear to the receptionist that there were several different medical issues needing to be assessed. Also, I can't fathom why I was not made aware that Loring was going to bring a trainee to mom's house. Had I known this, I would have asked her to come alone because I wanted the therapists full attention on mom, not on training someone. Hence I feel like this was inappropriate, especially to bring an additional person into our house uninvited and without making us aware in advance. I also asked reception to let Loring know that the initial consult was to be a surprise... and this is because if mom was aware, she would insist on paying for the treatment and I knew this would be a financial burden to her so I wanted the treatment to be a gift from me. I asked reception to please let Loring know that this was a surprise but she did not and Loring was shocked that my mom was unaware. Despite moms chronic and severe pains, she is motivated to exercise and I made this clear that Loring needs to give her many safe exercises that mom could work on at home frequently. Loring provided mom with only one exercise and told mom that she should be treated in clinic for more work to be done...even though I made clear that mom needs AT HOME exercises. There are a lot of reasons mom cant commute to the clinic and I did ask the receptionist to pass this on but once again, she did not. Despite the disappointing initial consult, I booked a second appointment (in house) for mom again. Loring did not show for this appointment and did not return calls or emails. When mom attempted to call her on the phone number Loring left her, the clinic said there was no record of my mom on file and that they did not treat patients in house. There was a lot of confusion on the phone and mom was made to feel embarrassed. I also rang them and emailed multiple times to ask why Loring did not show to the second appointment (and I asked if I could book another appointment) however a month went by and all my attempts to contact were ignored. Then suddenly the other day I received an email bill for the initial consult which I grudgingly paid. I am very unimpressed with the lack of communication between staff, the poor quality of service rendered, and even though I was prepared to spend thousands of dollars to help mom see results, I will never give this clinic my business again. If I could give zero stars out of 5 I would.

Daylin is a very caring and gifted kinesiologist! When I try to guide my mom who is 91 in exercises she is a bit tense, however when I watch Daylin work with range of motion and a bit of rowing and resistance my mom participated by trying hard as well as allowing a full range of motion during stretching with Daylin. My siblings have noticed my mom is more alert and present and talkative I believe to having 2-3 sessions per week of a bit of shoulder massage and legs, torso and arm exercising with Daylin. . I highly recommend their services as they are compassionate about proper assessments and customizing an appropriate program for my mom during each phase of her life.

I found HCR Solutions during an intensive search online for help for my Mom who had suddenly lost some of her mobility. We were fortunate to find HCR Solutions offered in house therapies which was ideal for her as she is a senior who doesn't drive and for me with an extremely busy work schedule. Erik and Adam came to her home on the first day and both were extremely professional, polite, knowledgeable and outgoing. They developed a course of treatments for her and she has shown great improvement. Erik has been fantastic! My Mom looks forward to her treatments with Erik, not just because he has helped her but because of the person he is. I would like to thank Erik and HCR Solutions for helping our family, it is much appreciated. Thank you!

HCR Solutions is an amazing company providing an incredibly important and often neglected service. The staff are professional, compassionate, knowledgeable and friendly. The goal of the company is to help people get moving and keep moving often after life has dealt them a curveball such as a stroke or a fractured hip. With the help from HCR patients are often able to become more independent, improve their quality of life and take a lot of the strain off their family members. If you have any movement issues and are unable to get out to seek help, HCR is the company you need to get in touch with!

There is nothing like being able to assist someone in re gaining the skills that it takes to do things that so many of us take for granted. I've been able to work with patients to re gain their ability to walk, dance, run and enjoy their hobbies again. I've been able to assist in giving people some increased independence in their lives. Working with them to be able to stay living in their homes longer and with more confidence in their mobility. From going up and down stairs to working with them on their mobility in the bathroom. After my father had a stroke in may of 2013 we were told by his doctors that he would never be able to gain the ability to walk and do simple things like go to the washroom and get in and out of the car again. But then in February of 2014 we found HCR Solutions and they said that they can help my father. The HCR Solutions team of therapists had my father up on his feet standing for the first time since his stroke on the very first day that they saw him. Over the months that followed the assessment he continued to slowly improve to the point where now he can use the washroom with minimum assistance, get in and out of the car almost on his own and walk for 30minutes with a cane without a rest. They conveniently come to our fathers facility to eliminate the hastle of us trying so get him to a treatment facility. We are so thankful for the HCR Solutions thrapists and for the wonderful work that they are doing for our father and would recomend them to anyone who is in need of physical therapy and rehabilitation. Our father has even used their masssge therapy service.

Keosh comes to see my mom at Kipnes Centre. She is always talking about how much fun they have together. I had an opportunity to meet him recently. He brings swing music with him. This is such happy music and it resonates with Mom - she loves it. Keosh is special. Mom doesn't even know she's having physical therapy as they laugh and joke their way through the exercises. My father had hip replacement surgery and needed help with exercising when he was able to return home. He is 87 years old and lives alone. We knew he would need some help and contacted HCR Solutions to arrange an in home consultation. Eric and his associate met with us at Dad's home to conduct an initial assessment. They developed a custom designed strengthening and exercise program for Dad. Sessions were commenced very soon after on a twice per week basis. Dad's mobility began to improve immediately and his walking strength and stamina made a significant improvement. Dad says he looks forward to Eric's visits as he pushes him to make continuous improvement. My father and our family have been extremely pleased with the progress Dad has made with the assistance of Eric and HCR Solutions.

We have used the services of Erik from HCR Solutions since 2012. At that time my wife was recovering from a stroke which had a negative effect on her left arm and leg. As a result she was confined to a wheelchair. Since hiring Erik she can now walk unaided for short distances and has negotiated stairs from time to time dependent on stamina levels. All in all we are extremely satisfied with Erik's services and would have no problem in recommending him friends in similar situations.

My mom suffered a massive stroke two years ago. When she was discharged from the hospital, she had no feeling on her left side. I came upon Inhome Physical Therapy through online search and decided to ask their therapist to work with my mom. Curtis has been working with my mom since then. Curtis is very patient, dedicated and most importantly, skilled, knowledgeable and very professional. He really knows his stuff and has an excellent work ethic. Now my mom can walk with a cane or a rollator walker and she continues to make great progress. Working with Curtis and the Inhome physiotherapy is one of the best decisions we have made as a family in aiding my mom’s recovery.

I had a family member that was older who lived in Edmonton that had a hip replacement. He wasn’t comfortable to be driving at his age especially in the winter conditions and we heard about InHome Phyiscal Therapy and figures this could be a great way to help out with his recovery. Erik and his team were amazing helping out with this transition and recovery. His rehab was exceptional, not only did he have a speedy recovery but he loved having the personal staff interaction in his home. I would highly recommend the company for anyone needing support at home, even if you are capable of getting to a physio office having the one on one support time at home is well worth it.

My grandmother is now 92 years young. She has always led a very active lifestyle, and has been fortunate enough to remain active late into her life. These past few year though she was starting to become less and less mobile as a result of arthritis. This becomes even worse for her in the winter months when she is not able to go out as often. The part that she found the most difficult to deal with when It came to the limits on mobility she was dealing with was her ability to even maintain her home and live her day to day life. With the help of HCR solutions she has been able to regain much of her normal mobility and this has greatly improved her ability to keep up with her home and re-gain much of independence. She and my family are all very thank full for the help HCR solutions has been able to provide.

My father who suffered great hip pain before and even after they were replaced was at wits end. I contacted Erik and he suggested a consult. After talking my dad decided to go ahead and see how Erik’s treatment suggestion might help him and alleviate his discomfort. After only a couple sessions he began to see improvements. Pain subsiding plus strength and flexibility increasing. Took a while but he’s cane free and as he says “as good as a perfect health 74 year old might feel !” Thx so very much Erik!!

My Mother is a senior and was in a hospital in Edmonton after some major surgery. She was very eager to get back to walking as she was active and independent prior to her being in the hospital. Unfortunately the hospital system didn't allow for enough physio therapy to accommodate her. We hired HCR Solutions and they provided exactly what we needed to get her mobile. All the therapists were professional, knowledgeable and showed great compassion for my Mother. Thanks to them she became more independent and was moved out of the hospital much quicker than if we had only relied on the public system. I started not being able to walk due to a bacterial blood infection. The pain was so bad that I could not even be touched on my left leg. Troy. my therapist has persevered i went from wheel chair to walker to cane and now walk at home without the cane much of the the time. This has been a journey. I often am a 'pain in the butt 'cancelling appointments because of health issues. He always supports me and understands. His knowledge of the human body and how it works is outstanding. He has all my confidence and appreciation.

Carolin Fontaine Words cannot express our family’s’ gratitude towards Eric Parkin and HCR Solutions team :-) In November 2013, I phoned Eric in desperation. On August 14, 2013 my father was admitted to hospital. It was only supposed to be for a few days to help him with his mobility issues due to Parkinson’s disease. (My father also had suffered a series of mini strokes in 2012, gravely affecting both his mobility and speech. He had persevered through that to return home that same year.) Early into his stay at the hospital (August 2013), my father fell and broke his hip. From September to November, the hospital’s physical therapists treated my father with bare minimal results. The hospital was writing my father off and wanting to place him into long term care. We had watched our father fall into an absence in terms of care and his disease was progressing. We feared the outcome of continuing down this path. After seeing their advertisement in a senior’s paper, I contacted HCR Solutions desperate for help and hope. The day Eric came in to assess my father, I watched Eric’s methods and the techniques he used to help make my father respond positively. I had not seen that type of professional assessment since my father had undergone rehab for his stroke. Eric was treating my father as a Parkinson’s patient, not an old man. When you combine knowledge, skill, and professionalism …… The results were amazing…… During the initial assessment Eric did something the hospital’s team could not do in 3 months: my father took his first steps with a 2 wheel walker. At the hospital, Eric worked diligently with my father. He well earned the nick name ….miracle worker. Eric and his team were the driving force in my father being able return HOME. Eric and the team at HCR Solutions continue to work with my father at his home. Parkinson’s is a degenerative and progressive disease. Yet once he returned home, my father’s improvement was remarkable. Using his 4 wheel walker, I got to watch my father walk from his home down to the end of the block. That was truly a priceless moment . With dignity, compassion, and professionalism, Eric and the HCR Solution team are continuing to work with my father, beating the odds together. I contacted In Home Physical Therapy when I was looking for an exercise therapist for my 87 year old mother to help her with strength, balance, and endurance. I was looking for in home therapy in a small town just outside of Edmonton. After an initial assessment was done Curtis was assigned to mom’s case. Over the last year he has provided caring, and respectful service for mom. Appropriate Exercises were planned, and implemented. Curtis was always a welcome visitor in mom’s home. I've been getting Phsiotherapy twice a week for the past 2 weeks and notice improvement in neck range of motion as well as back too. Solar-plexis muscles have been strengthened as well but swallowing still has a long-way to go and so does leg flexibility. The physio's name is Eric and I'm pleased with his work thus far. For the past 20 years I was suffering with chronic back and neck pain. The medical doctors I had been seeing ignored this issue. They had no solutions other than strong addictive medication which was unwize as I have a neuromuscular disease complicated with respiratory failure. I have been seeing Eric and TJ for over three years now. My pain has all but disappeared. Eric is always on time, always very happy and optimistic.
