WOW is an understatement. My husband and I did maternity and newborn portraits with Pamela - such an AMAZING EXPERIENCE from start to finish. She was extremely friendly and immediately made me feel comfortable putting our 5 day old baby in her hands. We love our photos but what surprised us the most was how wonderful she is - we call her the Baby Whisperer. Every single photo looks exquisite. We ordered an album and large metal art pieces to display in our family room and daughters nursery. Everyone says how amazing they look. Some people might think it's a bit expensive but my theory is you get what you pay for and what we paid for will last us a lifetime. Why would you want to stare at something you're less than 100% satisfied with for the rest of your life? Your child is only young once so you'll never be able to capture that image of her/him again in the best possible setting. Look and compare for yourself.

Not only is Pamela a wonderful lady to deal with from start to finish, she really goes out of her way to make you feel comfortable and happy with the end result. Pamela did my daughter's 1st Communion shoot and really encouraged my daughter to shine by giving her positive affirmations and kindness the entire way through. I mentioned in passing that I don't have very many pictures of myself and my daughter together because I'm always the one taking pictures. Guess what?! She immediately offered to take a few of us together. Remarkable! She could have just opted to do the bare minimum to get the shoot overwith but instead, as a Mother herself, she recognized the importance of having memories together. I can tell that this is not just a business for her, this genuinely makes her happy and is her passion. Pamela is a busy photographer for a reason (she is amazing at what she does!) but regardless, I found her to be attentive and accomodating when/where she could be. We went with a mini newborn session for our daughter who was just shy of 4 weeks old. The older the baby, the tougher it is to get them to stay still and stay sleeping during the session. When my baby turned 10 days old I panicked about how fast she was growing! I frantically searched for a well-reviewed infant photographer who was available with short notice and found Pamela. Our experience with her was great. From the very beginning with simple booking (selecting a time and date from available options on her website), to her flexibility in bringing a few studio props to our home, to her warm personality and finally her generosity in including some “bonus” photos beyond our selection, just because she thought they were special and that we should have them. I CANNOT EXPLAIN HOW AMAZING THIS PHOTOGRAPHY SESSION WAS!!! we do yearly holiday photos and thought of doing something different this year, I came across Pamela's instagram page and fell in love with her work. From the start Pamela was such a caring and humble person, helped us right through the booking process. When we had arrived at the studio she greeted us so nicely and offered hot chocolate with cookies! I have never had so much fun getting photos taken ever! Although I received some lovely photos from Pamela and enjoyed my maternity and newborn photoshoots, it was overall not a good experience. She was late for both photo shoots and completely forgot about the second one hence why she was late again. She disappeared for weeks on end when it came to getting the retouched photos from her - I had to constantly message her on multiple platforms to get a response. I seriously worried that she was going to disappear with my photos at one point! What's worse is that she didn't position us properly on several shots so she had to do tons of editing...for example, my thumb was in front of my baby's face (we had to swap it with another face) or my underwear was showing in my maternity shots without proper oversight or guidance in ones where we could have concealed it (she said not to worry that we could edit them but the editing looked terrible and not to mention it took her light years to do). There simply was not enough attention to detail. My hair was also in my face on some shots and the gown she gave me was too big for me and wrinkled in some areas like the sleeves so she had to do further editing as well and then in the end she said I was demanding all these free edits when she initially told me editing was included in the package and not to worry about a thing! I also had to change my appointment time because my baby was born later than the due date and she's made it a point to comment on that when that's out of someone's control! Really upsetting and stressful experience in the end and not much compassion from her either. It saddens me that what was supposed to be a happy and memorable experience turned out to be a stressful one. Would not go back. Not worth the deal. Now I have to pay more money to get my photos edited when this was something I trusted that she could do as a "professional" and "award winning" photographer.....we invested several hundred dollars in these photos so having an experience like this was just awful and totally not expected especially since she has so many great reviews!

We had our photo shoot in January. Photoshoot was fantastic, pictures were perfect and we received our digitals but all of our print material we chose in March and didn't hear from Pamela for a while. She has responded and confirmed my suspicion that something was wrong. Pamela was very ill, and my wife and I are thankful she is recovering. Understanding now that she was managing something else during the challenging COVID times, I want to reinforce how awesome Pamela has been. She truly loves what she does and cares about her customers. I would truly recommend her.

After sharing our frustrations below, Pamela Yool reached out to us and gave access to multiple photos & provided printouts that were more than what’s included in the contract. In addition we were offered a free photo session in the future, as compensation, to which we’re still considering at this point. Some of the shots were good by the way. In fairness, the photographer was very apologetic and disclosed that she was in a tough situation which prevented her from giving any updates or replies to our numerous calls and e-mails. Nevertheless, we wish it was a more pleasant experience. VH&DH We booked a FULLY PAID fall family photo mini session with Pamela Yool Photography at James Garden in Toronto on October 17, 2020 and attended the session. It was a hectic day with little parking available as it was a nice day and everyone wanted to be at the park for walking and photo sessions. As we finished the session we were told that we would get the proofs in 3 weeks. On Nov. 29, 2020, 6 weeks after the photo session, we sent an e-mail to Pamela Yool as we haven’t heard anything from her. No reply. Sent follow-up e-mails on Dec. 6, 2020 & Dec. 7, 2020 still no reply. At which time we started calling several times and as to be expected it was directed to a voicemail. As we keep on leaving voicemail messages to her, FINALLY on Dec. 11, 2020 received a call back that she would send the photos the next day. After a week we received nothing and reached out again by e-mail & phone calls hoping to get the picture before Christmas to share with family and friends as we could not spend time with them at Christmas because of the pandemic, but there was NO REPLY!!! Reached out to her again by multiple phone calls & voice messages after the New Year but still NOTHING!!!I am not sure what type of business Pamela Yool Photography is running and not sure of any issue in her life at this time, but we paid the fees up front and expected a professional interaction with a professional person as advertised in her website. However, this has not been the case as we seem to have been ghosted with NO PHOTOS!!! Still waiting for our family photos. VH & DH Jan. 09, 2021

She also helped my toddler involve during the photo session and he felt very special. Never felt rushed. The studio was nice, lots of props and comfortable environment.
