Was my first time going here, as they say, first impressions are ever important. MacLaren's Digital Photo Lab is very professional, very clean, quick and to the point. The staff is very friendly and a pleasure to work with. Price is more than fair. They offer passport photos, and other government ID photo's aswell. I will definitely be a returning customer. Some of the prints they had out and about I wish I had the funds to purchase at the time.

Last week, me and my wife visited the shop to get a US 2*2 passport size photo. I only needed a digital copy. Service was quick and was charged $19+taxes. After i got back, I had the photo in the inbox. Only issue was the background was overexposed. It was as though there was a light shining from the back with the hair glowing in the background. This was clearly against the photo guidelines by USCIS. So i called again and we were asked to visit the store. No support offered on phone which is understandable. We visited the store and had a hard time making the two gentlemen understand that the photos were exposed. Either ways, they went back inside making loud comments about how good the photos were. A second photo was not clicked. Few minutes we got another photo in the inbox, very similar to the first one. The staff was very frustrated when it was pointed out that the photos were still overexposed. Their argument was to try uploading these photos and I couldn’t take a chance as these are for Employment card card application and any delay would cost us a job. We tried to convince the team to get us another photo without any success. We requested for the raw file which I could edit but was denied. One of the staff offered us to give the refund and he went back inside the store. Few mins later the other person came out angry and he was shouting at us. He wanted proof that the photos would get rejected. Really bad experience. Left the place without a refund or a good second photo and went to Studio 1 and Custom Framing on Dougall avenue( near real Canadian super store) and got good photos clicked. I am happy to share the photos with anyone willing to reach out that shows the poor quality of photos from Maclarens.

Disgusting service! Do not go way overpriced!! Much better place up the road. I called before I left to find out how much it would cost to get UK passport photos done and I had a lengthy discussion on the requirements and was quoted $15.99. When I arrived the same guy I spoke to on the phone decided he wanted to charge an extra $5 due to the length of time it takes to do the photos. I explained we had a conversation about this on the phone already and was quoted $15.99 why the sudden change? He then began shouting and basically said he's deciding to charge an extra $5 regardless what he said on the phone because he can. So I left and found another place 5 mins up the road in Central Mall who only charge $6.99! Don't waste your time going to this place there's much better, cheaper and better service available in Windsor.
