Julia was our photographer for both our engagement photos and our wedding. She was absolutely incredible! Not only did she provide us with amazing photos, she was extremely flexible and upfront about what she planned to do and got our input on what type of photos we would like (romantic vs playful, etc) and ensured we would be pleased with the outcome. She spent a lot of time making us feel comfortable and to get on the same page with us so there would be no surprises. At the wedding she had many different ideas for the wedding party photos, all of which were great, but asked us if there were other types we wanted, etc to ensure we were getting everything we could to cherish that day. Julia was extremely flexible and stayed later into the night to capture moments she wanted to get. Overall it was great working with her. She is very easy to talk to, has a presence that makes you very comfortable and at ease (rather than awkward and shy in photos) and you could tell she has such a passion for photography. You can trust Julia to capture your special memories. I would use Julia again for any special event in my life.

We hired Julia by a random google search because her shots captured what we were looking for: fun and people smiling! Did we do the right thing because she made the session so fun! Prompt reply when answering questions that you may have about the shoot. The value is amazingly because she gives you all the photos taken during the session, unlike others who charges more but gives you like 25 digital prints. Plus you can pick a location of your choice ! I had a hard time because others didn’t allow you to choose. A tremendous value with quality service. I highly recommend Julia!

I started looking for a Photographer on Wedding wire, found Ginger Photography with great reviews and photos that I loved. My husband contacted Julia and she listened to what we wanted and worked to make a package that was exactly what we were looking for. We did an engagement shoot, we both hate photos and joked that we had 3 pictures of us together. Julia took charge and made us comfortable right away. She made suggestions and asked us if there was anything we wanted. Craig was a second shooter and they worked together so well. We had a lot of laughs and received our engagement photos very fast. On our wedding day my husband likes to joke that Julia was the perfect amount of bossy for a photographer. We have hundreds of pictures that I don’t know how she even got, they were never in the way, they were engaging with our guests and were always thinking of a great new photo idea. Julia is an excellent photographer. I really enjoyed meeting her and having her photograph my home. My decor colors are unusual and bright, Julia really understood exactly the technical requirements to shoot and edit such colors. Although I lack vocabulary and technical terms, Julia really patiently listened to what I was attempting to express regarding my colors and my wanting to avoid certain outcomes such as happen in my own amateur “photography” when trying to shoot the same rooms. This photographer could and should shoot rooms for home decor magazines!!! She knows exactly what to do every step of the way. This is the review that you need to read! My wife and I have been married for almost 10 years and decided to have some photos done in celebration of this. We were both a bit hesitant to have our pictures taken as we’re both quite shy (especially my wife) After researching and reading many reviews, as many of us do when we don’t have a personal reference from a friend and relatives to rely on. We were lucky to come across Julia’s website. Rite away you she was accommodating to the time, day, location and the typical unpredictable BC weather. During the process you could tell that she really enjoys and loves what she does, which made it easy for my Wife and I to relax and enjoy ourselves, it also translated into the amazing pictures that Julia had taken for us.She even took the time to pick out her own personal suggestions, to certain locations where she genuinely was excited to have our photos taken, which was overtime work for her and completely unexpected but appreciated for her to do. Julia never asked or hinted to us in writing our review, which makes sense as she doesn’t need to, her work and pleasant customer service makes it almost impossible to not write a positive 5 star review! If I could describe Julia and her services in two words and a hyphen it would be heaven-sent. My husband and I had gotten engaged in late October and decided we wanted to marry by December. If only everyone can imagine the stress I was going through on top of work, going to school full-time and now having to plan a wedding just short of 2 months! I came across Julia's work and portfolio online a couple weeks before the wedding and knew that I had found my photographer. Her work showed such diverse range and beautiful shots. We got so many compliments from our guests to how fun, energetic and lively she was. To start off, our engagement shots were so much fun!
