I cannot say enough good things about Will Pursell Photography. Their photos are jaw dropping gorgeous, fun, timeless, creative and unlike any I have seen. I researched photographers extensively and couldn’t be happier that we chose Will Pursell and his team. They have packages with two photographers and it allowed us to have our entire wedding shot from different angles. After receiving our wedding photos I found many pictures that I didn’t even know were taken. They are able to take flawless wedding photos without even being known they are there. Will’s skill with lighting is unreal, I was afraid of lighting issues due to having a winter wedding and I could not be happier with the results. I would recommend Will Pursell Photography to any bride, friend or family member I know.

I did a lot of research before choosing Will Pursell and without a doubt - Best choice ever! Most wedding photographers take nice photos, but for the most important day of your life, why settle for nice when you could have spectacular! Lots of the other photographers mentioned that they go for ‘natural looks’ and rely on the ‘natural lighting to capture the moment’. Well, it’s Vancouver- the weather here isn’t always ideal, and I wanted someone who would be prepared. I can’t tell you how happy I was that Will is passionate about lighting; had huge flashes with him, and even had spray cans with mist to make the effect of sun rays. My husband only likes the way he looks in candid photos, and I only look good when posed- Will was able to capture a perfect blend of the two. Many of the guests at the wedding commented that Will and Lauren were the friendliest wedding photographers they had ever seen. I was a giant stress ball before the ceremony, so I was so grateful that they were so down to earth and easy going. The photos and the experience were everything I had hoped for. If you want photos that are nothing less than epic on the most important day of your life, I strongly recommend choosing Will Pursell.

It wasn’t just a photoshoot, it was an adventure! When we were researching for a photographer to help us with our pre wedding pictures, we were immediately drawn to Will’s style, it was dramatic, artistic and most of all romantic. Lauren was excellent to communicate with, she was prompt, brief and precise. From choosing our package to our itinerary for the day, it was perfectly explained and laid out for us. During the shoot they were very friendly and professional, he knew exactly what he was looking for in regards to shots and knew exactly where to take us to achieve it. We hired Will and Lauren for our wedding photography. Photography was one of the most important parts of our day, so we wanted to get the best. Their portfolio speaks for its self. As soon as I met Will, I loved his relaxed attitude and felt confident he was the photographer for us. We had an engagement session, and the photos blew us away he is so natural at direction, and had a vision for every shot! He gave us some great recommendations leading up to the wedding. On the day of, they showed up early (made me feel better as I was already nervous) he captured some amazing candid moments between me and my girls as well as guided me through a few shots that made me feel even more beautiful :-) My husband had Will's assistant (lauren) go with him which was perfect. She captured some really fun moments that really added to the story of our day. During the ceremony, I did not even know they were their. They took some really amazing angles of the ceremony. We started getting nervous for the portrait session because it started raining (welcome to vancouver). he had suggested a backup location, which we used and was perfect, we trusted him to go outside with our umbrellas for a few shots... WOW, amazing! what really stands out about these pictures compared to all my friends photos is that the lighting is just incredible! During the reception, Will and Lauren worked quick and we barely even saw them. They managed to capture so many moments I didn't even remember! We were super excited about seeing the photos, he sent us a stunning preview gallery before we even got back from our honeymoon! I love every photo from our final pictures. His editing is not over edited, but each photo looks perfect. We ordered his big album and that was just the icing on the cake! the design of the album was stunning and told the story of our day perfectly! It really makes a huge difference getting the photos into print, something you can touch! Obviously I would recommend Will Pursell Photography to anyone that wants crazy amazing wedding photos. It was the best money we spent on our wedding day!

If you are looking for a wedding and/or engagement photographer, stop looking because you found them. Will and Lauren were absolutely so much fun to work with and so professional! That's the gravy on top of the artistry that will come from their lenses. Will's concepts are so different but he manages to really capture the essence of the moment. Not only that, but we received our full gallery so quickly!! (Not bad considering we were the last ones standing between them and a vacation). I honestly don't think anyone would have captured our wedding day in print as well as Will and Lauren.

Before we met Will and Lauren we had the opportunity to watch them work at two different weddings at two very different settings. From watching them work and hearing great first hand reviews, we decided to meet with them after meeting with a number of other photographers. After our first meeting we knew they would be the perfect photographers to capture our wedding day. Will and Lauren are artistic, humble, honest, hard working, prompt with their replies, receptive to your ideas and very passionate about their business. We chose the 12hrs package with an album and engagement shoot. The price quoted was very reasonable compared to all the other photographers we met with who tried to offer us similar/less in their packages. During our engagement shoot, Will and Lauren were a lot of fun to work with and put us to ease. They were very knowledgeable about the area where we shot and gave us the proper direction when needed. Before our wedding, Lauren was fantastic at coordinating all the small details and it was so helpful for them to send us a worksheet so we could all be on the same page. We were very happy with our engagement shoot photos and decided to enlarge, print and display them at our wedding. On our wedding day, Will and Lauren definitely kicked it up a notch and took their skills and passion to the next level. They arrived at our venue on time, focused and ready to go. We had quite a few events, including traditional ones, planned throughout the day and they were knowledgeable about everything that was going on. They always knew when to step in to give us direction but it felt like they were masters at working in the background. When we did our portrait session, it was like they knew about all the secret spots for the most amazing views and backgrounds. Will and Lauren never rushed us and you could tell they wanted to get the perfect shot - which they got many of. You can tell they are masters with working with natural light and the light they bring with them. Of course on your own wedding day, you are too busy with everything that's going on you don't get a chance to see the fruits of your own labour - especially all the time you put into the fine details. When we got to see our wedding photos (a short time after) I was amazed to see all the detailed photos they took of the venue and the decor. Looking at the entire gallery of photos, I felt like I was re-living every single minute of my wedding! Needless to say, we were both speechless about how amazing and fantastic our wedding day photos turned out! We have yet to see our album as Lauren is currently working on it however, when we first met they showed us samples of their albums and they were beautiful. Hands down I would highly recommend Will and Lauren for your photography needs, you will not be disappointed!

Will and Lauren photographed our wedding this past October and we could not be happier with them! They both possess relaxed attitudes while maintaining a professional approach to their photo sessions. Their passion in their works shows and their dedication to make every photo beautiful is clear. (Lauren had to go trekking through the forest and into trees to set up lighting and Will stepped in a mess somebody's dog had left - anything for a great shot!) Throughout the ceremony and reception we barely noticed Will and Lauren and yet they were able to get amazing candid close-ups and captured some important moments. During our first meeting with them, they both displayed genuine interest into getting to know us and understanding what we want with our photos. They were more than prompt in replying to e-mails and answering any questions we had for them throughout the entire process, which helped put my wife and I at ease. For us it was extremely important to have a good relationship with our photographer and right from the start we knew Will and Lauren were the right people for the job. The results of the pictures were fantastic! Will's eye and unique photographing style were what drew us to him, and he really captured who we are as a couple in his photos. The quality in the pictures is incredible, and some of the things Will does with a camera is truly amazing. We expected to get amazing photos from Will, which is why we hired him, and he did not disappoint. We are so thankful to Will and Lauren for being there on our wedding day, and would recommend them to anyone and everyone! That is, if you want truly amazing, unique wedding photos that no one else will have. Hire Will NOW, or you may not get the chance to as I can only see his demand growing with more exposure! I just LOVE Will's photos from the very beginning. They are unique, artistic, dramatic and definitely different from most of wedding photos you see anywhere else. Will and Lauren captured many beautiful moments and these photos really brought us back all the memories of our special day. I was worried about how photos will turn out due to bad weather on the day of my wedding but Will made gloomy rainy Vancouver weather into romantic, mystical rain drops. Have to admit. We hum and hawed initially because the price was more that what we budgeted, but choosing Lauren and Will as our photographers ended up to be the best decision ever!! We were both pretty nervous at first as we are both awkward with pictures, but they were very reassuring and proved that we had nothing to worry about. They are like magicians with their lights and took stunning pictures (posed and candid). We thought the places actually look even better in picture that in real life! Do a web search for Vancouver wedding photographers and we’d be willing to bet that one of the images that makes your breath catch in your throat was shot by Will and Lauren of Will Pursell Photography. These two are not only incredibly talented but also extremely easy to work with. My husband and I get very uncomfortable being in photos so it was important to me that our photographers could move amongst the guests without having to corral everyone at all times. We wanted a photojournalistic/documentary style to our shots and these two delivered everything we wanted plus more! So many of our guests have written us to tell us just how beautiful every shot is and we are absolutely floored with the quality of the photos. Beyond just the beauty of the final photos, I’d be remiss if I didn’t talk a little about Will and Lauren themselves. They have an ability to work with light that most people would overlook completely and they guide you through getting the best shots without making you feel like you are simply marionettes; they capture the feelings of the moment while still letting you live in it. There are few things that can ruin a wedding more than not having a photographer that you can depend on; this will never be the case with Will and Lauren. To put it plainly - Lauren and Will are second to none when it comes to wedding photography. The way they manipulate light and shadows is like nothing I have ever seen. Were they on the pricier end? Yes! But I can't imagine having spent a penny less to get a much more mediocre product. They were absolutely amazing to work with. We felt comfortable and understood. And during the wedding it was like they weren't even there. I barely remember seeing them the whole time, but my photos were absolutely spectacular. You're crazy to hire someone else to save a few bucks. Find it in your budget because they are SO WORTH IT.

Will and Lauren are truly an amazing team! Emails and meetings prior to our wedding were always professional and friendly. Lauren was quick to respond to any of our questions, and they both had a true desire to make the day run smoothly and fit our requests within our budget. On the day of the wedding, it was incredible to see both Will and Lauren in action! Will truly was like a "ninja" popping in and out of my line of sight, to get some remarkable artistic shots. As a team, they had great communication and organization, and managed to fit in all of our photography requests. Will even agreed to get into a teeny tiny rowboat for the ceremony shots, in choppy water on a blustery day! We are so grateful for these unique shots of our dock ceremony. Pictures are such an important part of the entire wedding process. We sat in front of the computer for hours on end searching for the best... we found it to be just that with Will Pursell Photography! We LOVED our wedding and engagement photos. All our families and friends just raved about them. Being professionally photographed isn't something most people are used to and thought that we might look awkward but Will and Lauren were awesome at making us feel comfortable. They were so easy and fun to work with. It's the worst when the photographer doesn't give you any direction, Will was really great at telling us what he wanted us to do and made us feel at ease. The variety of pictures were amazing and we couldn't have been happier with them. It is such an important day and you want it to be special. We didn't want the same pictures everyone else has; we wanted something artistic and unique, Will and Lauren really brought it. Our entire day was caught in the photos and thanks to Will Pursell Photography we will never forget what a special day it was!!!
