For our daughter's second birthday we booked a 20 minute mini session with LL of My City Photos. During the shoot our daughter screamed, cried, pouted, sniffled, raged and was in every way contrary and difficult. I was sure the shoot was a bust, but later when we were shown the shots, I liked so many of them I found it impossible to narrow my choices down to the allotted five. LL is so great with kids and she’s so good at her job the shots she got make it seem like our daughter was on her best behaviour and enjoyed herself the whole time. "That comes with hiring a professional," said my husband. "Incredible," I said. LL truly did a bang up job and we look forward to shooting with her again and often.

Our family has worked with LL three times over the past two years; twice outside and once in the studio. Its been a great experience. She is easy to get along with, flexible and patient with kids, has good ideas for locations (outside/studio) and provides some direction/suggestions when needed. Turn around time to get the digital files has been quick (about 2 weeks). No high pressure sales tactics for purchasing prints. Most importantly, the photos turned out amazing every time.

Laura Lee is such a fun ball of positive energy! We "know" her because my sister has done many family photo shoots with her, she has donated photo packages for my niece's pediatric transplant charity and I am a fan of her blog! I actually live in Hong Kong so am not here to get regular photo shoots done with her. I was excited to have a family photo shoot with her using the "cube" setting. She was SO AMAZING with my kids (5 and 7 years old) and got them comfortable, giggling and following her fun suggestions immediately. She was happy to give us ideas and guidance as to what to do, but also open to any suggestions. All her communication throughout the process was clear, giving lots of ideas and recommendations on what to wear, what to do to prepare, etc. I actually messed up my booking and needed to reschedule because my daughter got suddenly sick, and she was very understanding about it and let us reschedule. Cannot wait to see our CUBE pictures! :) :) :) She has so many fun themes and changes them regularly. If we lived in Vancouver, we would definitely get more regular photos done with her! Laura is an excellent photographer and helped us take an important family gathering at her new studio at her home early February 2018. Photos taken were great, but the important thing we really appreciated was the fact she made the experience stress-free and enjoyable for everyone. Those with kids know that taking good photos with them all looking and smiling is extremely difficult. With 3 kids and 1 infant in our group of 11, she was able to immediately get their attention and produced some beautiful photos with everyone looking and genuinely smiling and laughing. It was great working with LL! We scheduled some late fall family photos with a 9 month old and a dog outdoors. We had to postpone our initial planned date because of weather but it was super easy to find an alternate date. The date of the shoot went very well. I love her new studio space and she somehow managed to get fantastic family shots of 2 unphotogenic adults and 2 grumpy post-nap toddlers. She has great energy, ideas and attention to detail. I like that she will guide you on what to do, which makes every session stress-free and easy. Her rates are totally reasonable and I love that she offers all sorts of packages to meet your needs. I continue to recommend her to friends and family and will continue to use her for all our family portraits.

I cannot begin to tell you how much we love Laura-Lee. She has been our family photographer for over 2 years. She has such an amazing eye for photography...natural, in the moment, real "smiles" type photos. Capturing the actual essense of our family. We are embarrassed to say that we "cheated" on her with a gift from my brother for a photography session off of Groupon. It was the biggest mistake ever! The photographer was nice enough but very inexperienced. My husband had to direct her in terms of the 'types' of photos we wanted, how we should be posing etc. My hair was out of whack that day and she didn't tell me! It ended up being captured on all the photos and the company refused to photoshop my hair without an additional charge. Needless to say, we came "crawling back" to Laura-Lee. Never again will we go anywhere else to capture those sweet moments. Kids grow up so fast. My baby's face has already changed and because we missed getting pictures done with Laura-Lee, we will never be able to capture that time again. With all our hearts we highly recommend My City Photos to anyone who is looking for a family (all round) awesome photographer. We love you LL!!

I have always had a wonderful experience with Laura Lee. She has taken both of my boys cake smash photos (which is not an easy task). She is great with kids and has tremendous patience. Despite the meltdowns, she manages to take great shots. Her studio has a wide selection of props to pick from. Very nicely set up. Will definitely be going back to her to have more sessions done with her :-)

This is our first family photo session with our 11 month old son and we couldn't be happier working with Laura-Lee. She was warm and welcoming from the get go and always made sure we were comfortable with the direction of the photoshoot.
