Emily Lamb is incredible. She’s a talented and gifted photographer that seems to capture the essence of who you are and what you’re after. She finds moments for you and locks them in through her photographs. She took time to know us, our story and took a genuine interest in who we are and what our journey is. She took the time to become part of our journey which is where her value was. Her photos are outstanding, but Emily, herself is part of her package. It sounds cheesy, but she became part of the family. A fixture. Someone who wanted our journey captured as beautifully as much as we did. Topping it all off, she is also a registered Doula. So, she snapped photos and then provided us and our surrogate with experience, support, comfort and...snacks! She showed up to our labour with fruit trays! Why? Because she genuinely cares about making this stuff special. Plain and simple, we will sing her praises to everyone who will listen. We will share our experiences and will forever point people in her direction. One conversation with her will sell her. She’s amazing. Her photography speaks for itself. She’s the whole package. A true artist. We love her.

We welcomed Emily from ELLE Photography Sudbury into our home while we decorated our Christmas tree. This was a special year for us since it was our first Christmas together as a family. Christmas has always been a huge occasion in our households growing up. I knew I wanted to capture this moment and be able to hold onto it forever. Emily gave us just that. The photos turned out amazing, nearly brought us to tears. She was able to capture our boys personalities so well. We will be forever thankful to her for this. This was our second session we had with her and won't be the last. We all see her as part of our family. Thank you just isn't enough for what you have given us Emily. ♥

Flexible, above and beyond is all we know how to define Emily at Lotus and Lamb. We searched high and low in the Sudbury area for birth photographers in 2017 to prepare for our first born in 2018. Some were nice, some were rude - Emily made us feel important, right away. Emily took the time to get to know us. She reached out to learn about us, our family, our situation and what our hopes were from the birth experience. She captured the birth beautifully. She came for the Fresh 48 session and was just like a family member. We laughed, she was kind, respectful and professional. He work speaks for itself. We show her birth video and her photos regularly to our friends and family. It was a no-brainer that we chose her to capture the birth of our second son due in June 2020. Then, Covid began to make its way throughout the world. We were in China at the time and gobsmacked and broken with all the restrictions with quarantine and hospital regulations in Sudbury. Our dream of re-creating our birth photography and video experience were destroyed. That didn’t stop Emily! She reached out often to discuss the changing details in our itinerary and new restrictions to protect Canadian citizens from this virus. It became clear that Emily would not be able to take photos of the birth of our son (gosh, even we weren’t allowed to be there at that point!!). She did everything she could to make us feel supported and valuable. She delivered all of our groceries to our AirBnB so we could have food when we arrived and had to sit our quarantine. She came to visit us - she sat on the lawn outside the front window and we remained locked inside for our 2-week quarantine. She a business woman, but didn’t make the experience about making money off of us, she truly just wanted to make the experience special for us and our family. That’s what sets Emily apart from other photographers - she cares deeply about our experience. Every aspect of it. That’s her magic. She will make you feel like you’re her only clients and will bend over backwards to ensure your experience is nothing short of exceptional. She made a “covid baby” baby experience one that was memorable and beautiful - even when we wanted to lose hope. Emily Lamb is spectacular and you would not be sorry getting a consultation with her. Her work is stunning - but you can see that already. Have a conversation with her and see what we are talking about. We clearly can not recommend her more highly than we do. My partner and I hired Emily for birth/newborn photography (we signed up for the package that included the above + Doula support from Meg). I would 100% recommend Lotus & Lamb Photography + Films to anyone. Emily was extremely easy to contact and responded to my emails/messages very quickly. She was flexible in setting up a date to meet in person, and was accommodating when I requested to switch the maternity photo shoot to a newborn photo shoot. Knowing that Emily is also a Doula reassured me that her presence would not interfere with the intimacy of birth. On the big day I reached out to Doula Meg who contacted Emily and they arrived together. Emily captured some amazing moments of my labour; I am so happy to have these photos to look back on (and the timestamp on them has really helped me piece together the timeline - something that seems to disappear when you are in labour). The photographs clearly show how well supported I was - by my partner, Meg and the midwives. I felt so strong during my labour and it is wonderful to actually *see* that in pictures. My birth story involved a transfer to the hospital and unfortunately Emily was not able to capture the actual birth - however she was able to document our first cuddles, the newborn exam, the phone call I made to my mother to tell her our "team green baby" is a girl and the faces of the grandparents when they met their first granddaughter. It is such a privilege and gift to have these memories preserved in photos. Emily also came to my home to do a newborn/family lifestyle photo shoot. It felt very natural and easy to be ourselves with Emily around. She was also great with our 3 year old (who was nearing nap time) and safe with our newborn (no awkward props of poses).
