We chose Helga for our family photoshoot because of the reviews we saw online - her professionalism and exceptional way of photographing children with ease was very important to us. Helga photographed our family in a unique, beautiful, pleasant and completely enjoyable way. Initially, I was nervous about the photoshoot because I didn't think I would photograph very well and I wasn't sure how my little ones would cooperate. All my fears disappeared the moment we walked into her lovely studio - the ambience and colours in the studio resonated with me and her warm personality put my little ones at ease thought the session, ESPECIALLY the baby!!! We get compliments about our family photos all the time. She has given us portraits that will be treated as family heirlooms. We cant wait to have more sessions with her. Thank you Helga!

I've had multiple types of photo sessions with Helga and love her personality, photographic style and energy! She did my branding photos first and they are amazing and make me feel like a star. Next we did my son's Cake Smash. It was adorable and he loved her warm and funny personality, not to mention her awesome private studio where he felt right at home. Recently we had our first family photos done and to say we are an awkward family to pose is an understatement. She was able to put us at ease, pose us beautifully and capture not only great photos, but the beautifully stunning light and landscape around us. Helga is the most professional and kind photographer one could find. When we were expecting our first child I researched birth photographers and came across a slideshow she had made for another client, as tears filled my eyes at the raw beauty I knew this was a perfect fit for us, I showed my husband and he agreed. I met with Helga and we enrolled for the full year package. She captured my maternity photo shoot so perfectly, our excitement, the beauty of my body and was so open to my many ideas. I appreciated her ability to have me move to just the right angles to portray my newly developing shape! And then came our birth! We had our daughter at a birth centre with a midwife and doula. I hardly noticed Helga was there, she was an extra support for both the doula and my husband in the room. She was calm and took pictures without me even noticing. Her ability to capture the strength, the determination, the anticipation (of my husband), the bond of all of us ready to welcome the new baby is so amazing. And then the million dollar moment, is the captured scene of me seeing my first child, my first realization that she was a girl and then our first minutes finally seeing each other with my husband right there beside us. What I wasn't prepared for was the moments she caught that I otherwise would have missed. When I went to shower my husband had skin to skin with this new sweet little baby, and as he held her close she looked up to him with wide open eyes. It is so breathtaking. She also captured the reactions of the first few guests we had and honestly, I knew they were excited but to look back and see the pure love our family had for this new baby captured on film is irreplaceable. Looking back at our pictures and our slideshow I am so thankful Helga gave us this opportunity. We have the best day of our lives captured on film, tastefully and perfectly. While I was enduring labour I can look back and see how my husband was there rubbing my back, my doula holding my hand and the beautiful environment and atmosphere we welcomed our child into. I get to see my raw emotion, it takes me back to that moment of sheer happiness and elation! I can look back and see my strength and raw beauty in giving birth to my child. After the excitement of the birth we had newborn pictures with Helga and I have to say they are the cutest! She takes much time and precision to capture the most delicate little poses and has a wide selection of props and poses! She was very patient as we had to take nursing breaks and of course there were some wardrobe changes (some planned and some not !) We followed her for the 6 month and 1 year photos including the cake smash. It was so beautiful to have photos that coordinated and then a wonderful keepsake portfolio documenting our daughters first year. I highly recommend Helga as a photographer and I encourage anyone considering birth photography to go ahead and do it, trust me you won't regret it (I've watched my slideshow time and time again!).

I wasnt going to do maternity photos but helga convinced me and at the end of the day she not only took but created the most stunning maternity shot ive ever seen. When it came to my newborn session helga was amazing. With twins theres an incredible chance one baby will wake the other, but helga magically could get them both asleep. We had a magical experience with Santa at our photo session last November. The kids were surprised by His presence while they were writing Him a letter in the photographer's studio! They had stars in their eyes when Santa sneaked in the studio very quietly to surprise my 2 daughters. He read a little story and even made cookies with my little ones, all caught on camera by Helga. She is very profesionnal. Her studio is gorgeous and was filled with little Christmas treats. We will never forget this warm and unique encounter.
