I brought my 2.5 week old daughter to get her photo taken here after my first passport photos (taken at Walmart) had been rejected. The photo was taken and printed in less than 3 minutes. They are conveniently downstairs the passport office. The lady dressed my daughter, woke her up with music and got her to open her eyes so easily. She took a good photo that met all the requirements and it was so different from my experience at Walmart (who took 20 minutes to get even one photo, which was rejected).

OH MY GOD!!!! Yasmin is a miracle worker! She will make your ID photo look like a professional headshot. She'll help you pose, guide your face and sprinkle her magic fairy dust. I can't even believe my eyes! I've always thought I was one of the least photogenic people alive but BOY she made me see the how good I can look. And all this for a passport photo! WOW!!! My wife and I and my 3 kids went separately for a picture at this location and it's pretty amazing and wonderful despite pandemic restrictions. Observed physical distancing as you will wait outside the shop within the building if a customer was inside. The photo specifications are perfectly done with care by an accomodating lady staff who is really wonderful, full of zest and spirit. Recommend this place so much.....

Met the famous Yasmin and the reviews did not lie. She was a star at taking my shy toddler's passport photo. We originally went to Staples because it was closer but the photographer took one look at my tiny shy daughter and said he couldn't guarantee a passport photo. Yasmin on the the other hand, smiled, made friends with my daughter and had the photo done within minutes. Highly recommend especially for baby/toddler passport photos. Just a tip, if you're parking in the building lot, remember to pay, because the parking attendant checks very frequently. I saw him give 3 tickets alone while I was loading us back into the car, then he disappeared like a ninja. Man means business.

When you have to go the passport office, you know you have to pack your patience. So, when I first needed my photo, I was happy to learn that Scarborough Passport Photo Centre was conveniently located on the main floor of the passport office. I didn't expect anything more than coming out with a reasonable photo. However, to my pleasant surprise, I was treated to an enjoyable, (funny!) customer service experience, thanks to the personability of Yasmin who was minding the desk. (p.s. this compares to being unable to walk-in to Walmart as I would've had to wait for the photographer to finish her family portrait photo session before attending to me.) Very convenient and friendly!

I went to shoppers and they told me they don’t take infant photos. I wanted to apply for my infants passport and I knew i had to head to Scarborough. A quick google search revealed a few options in Scarborough but this place had the best reviews. I figured that that this would be a good place to go to and I’m so happy that I did because the reviews couldn’t be any truer. The lady yasmin that works at this office is fantastic. She was super friendly. She got my 3 month old to laugh and within minutes took great passport photos. He was not fussy at all and it was nice for me as well being a first time parent. The whole process was seamless - I paid and had my photos in under 3 mins and was on my way to the passport office. I wish more businesses ran this way the world would be such a nice place.

Yasmin was absolutely a God send! My parents are seniors and one of them lost their citizenship card. The government offers ZERO services in this area. You are required to fill out a complicated form and all communication is done via mail or online. For seniors that do not have knowledge of online forms this system is useless. Nevermind citizens that aren’t fully fluent in English. I myself found the forms complicated and I worked in Finance and have a business degree. Yasmin’s level of service and care to help people in this situation restores my faith in humanity. As a taxpayer I’m appalled the government abandons these vulnerable citizens without help and spends its resources on creating useless Youtube videos on how to do this which aren’t the least bit useful. Something needs to be done to address this. Thankfully Yasmin is filling the gap for these lack of services that should be provided to the government. She is amazing. Highly recommended.

The minute I walked in the door Yasmin even though very busy acknowledged my presence. When it was my turn for my photo to be taken, she gave me some helpful pointers for a nice photo, which I was very happy with in the end. This place is awesome - a real pro - my family of 4 with infant and child were in and out in 20 mins. They have a bumbo seat for the infants and a hooded sweater to hold their head up. They’re right next to the Canada passport office and all they do is this so they know all the specifications and kinks regarding passport, PR, and citizenship forms.

When it was time to renew my passport, I chose to go to Scarborough Passport Photo Centre because it was convenient. But it was much more than convenient, I actually like my passport photo! (And if you’ve had passport photos done before, this is a rarity) The staff, specifically Yasim, was friendly, helpful, and efficient! When it came time for my mother to renew her passport, I insisted that she got here, and she is glad that I did. On top that, Yasim remembered me (if that doesn’t speak to how great the customer service is, I don’t know what does)! Very unethical, touching baby all over which was very disappointing, without sanitizing hand and no mask on at all. If I could give 0 stars I would. I went with high expectations and they indeed met them! My passport pictures turned out AMAZING. I hate how government identification such as driver's license and OHIP come out. How my passport pictures turned out was a pleasant surprise. The ladies in the store were TERRIFIC, professional and friendly you name it. I went there hoping to come out with good pictures and that is EXACTLY what I got. One thing that come through during my visit was the care and passion for the job. If I ever need any passport pictures I will definitely head to Scarborough Town Centre have my pictures taken at this store. It was worth the long drive and wait. Thank you sooooo much!

If you want the quick answer: they're one of the best choices, if not THE best choice, for getting professional photos taken if you're in Scarborough. I was only meant to go there for a quick passport photo, but I never thought I could enjoy getting one done ever! I was just casually talking and next thing you know, it's finished! Talk about efficient! It also helps that they're located right in the ServiceCanada building, so it's very convenient if you're short on time and need to get a quick photo done. All in all, I'm very satisfied with the photos taken and might find myself frequently coming here for professional photos.

This location run by Yasmin is the epitome of customer service. She's a customer service guru. Really, she could be a model store for teaching customer service skill in college. To her the customer is king! She goes above, and beyond what brings her clients to the store - which usually is to take a passport photo. Picture this, for baby passport photos Yasmin will take shots until.its perfect- usually with a smile even for infants. She magical withb babies! For all others, she will touch up your face if you let her for free to give you the perfect photo quality: take several shots until you like it before she can print it out for you. She will also answer any related questions you might have in regards to the applications that need your photo.she is knowledgeable and up to date. She even goes the extra mile to point out the website to use on her laptop for you the client so you can avoid fraudster sites. I have reason to believe from my experience, that she makes the work so much easier for the officers who review the applications received from her clients. Obviously, she's not paid to do all that. All you need to pay for is your passport photo. Yasmin is a gem! How do I know all this, I stood there for an hour to observe her in which time she served about a dozen clients 5 of them infants.

Wonderful service!! I visited this place only cos if the great reviews and it definitely is not exaggerated. I went to take a photo for my PR card. Yasmin not only took the photo, but also guided me on how to send the package to the processing center - she wrote down all the important points and asked me to use the Canada Post Express service. You cannot imagine she explained me the application process well, gave me the application forms and shared information that I should be cautious about during my travel with my baby. While we were leaving, my son started crying. She took my son in her arms and started calming him down with so much love and compassion. She also played a soothing music for son. We also asked her if she would be interested for our son's photo sessions. She said she no longer does it but however, she started sharing some student contacts with us so that we save our money for the photo-sessions and at the same time , these students get an employment and work opportunity. I think all the good reviews were purchased by the owner. Yes she is nice, but not that patient like the others said. I asked her to fix my lip a little bit since it was not balanced, she said only one more time and I have to take it no matter what cause the line was long, a lot of people waiting outside, but there were only 4 people. The picture quality is very low, which is understandable because I can’t tell which model is the machine and what year it was released. My skin in the photo was too dark and yellow, compared to my normal skin tone. Overall, I think you can come because of convenience, since upstair is the passport centre, but otherwise, I do not recommend!

Friendly service and swift speed. Never disappoint. Update: Came back again during COVID. The staff is the reason why we keep on coming back to her for 15+ years every time we need a photo. She's super friendly and extremely helpful, doing extra to help out people with filling forms etc. Meanwhile, there's an extremely long line permanently outside the building full of people trying and can't get to renewing their things.

The staff at the Scarborough Passport Photo Center (Yasmin) is a sweetheart. I have had three of my children take passport photos and she does such an amazing job keeping them comfortable, safe and happy! She has all of the nick knacks needed to keep all three of my little babies sitting still - which is an impossible feat on most days! All of my babies took their photos at around 1 year of age - so you could just imagine how hard that is - but Yasmin got the photos done with ease. Like she has done it her whole life! I’ve had my Canadian passport photos done, as well as my U.S Immigration photos. Both of which came out beautifully. Every single image has exceeded my expectations. I went in today for (2) U.S passport style photos, and her attentiveness to detail is amazing. She made sure my face wasn’t shiny, fixed my hair, and the photos came out amazinnng. Was just there this morning and the young lady, Yasmin, that helped us was awesome. Had to do a last minute urgent passport and having the shop right there made it quick and easy to get it done. I took my baby photo there. She took a lot of effort to take photo as my baby was cranky. I was running between the shop and back in parking as that day her debit machine was not working. When I came back with the change she gave me photos and I had to run to my husband parking as he couldn’t park properly. In hurry I forgot to take baby stroller and I had to run again. I didn’t even see the photos. When I took an envelope to see the picture I could see my part in the picture. When I went back home, I took one envelope and I could see only one photo and no stamp in the back. Right away I called her and said I didn’t get second photo then she said she gave it to me for sure. I politely asked her to check her office as my passport appointment was next day. I went back and checked my bag again and I could see another envelope with the second photo.what we normally expect is one envelope and two photos. It was my mistake and I called and said sorry to her. She took a lot of effort to take my baby photo and I was lacking 50cents and she said it’s ok. I would like to tell the owner please understand a crazy moms life and it was just a human error that I called just know if I left there. Thank you so much.I was not lying.

It's not open until 9pm. I needed to take some photos.when you google search it saying they open until 9 pm. because of that i go to there @ 4.45 after my work and there was a not that whoever working have gone to drink some water and going to come back within 5 min. I wait there 15 min. nobody came and call the customers number that google have they said it open until 9 pm no appointment needed. I wait another 15 min. but nobody come. They should remove that fault information otherwise people going to waist there time and money. Good thing i take the parking ticket for an hour otherwise i'm going to get a parking ticket too.

Ms Yasmin is such an amazing photographer and business owner, and she’s really good at making people feel at ease and relaxed at her photo shoot. I usually hate getting ID photos taken because it always makes me feel stiff and the photo never came out satisfying. But here I got a perfect looking photo done in one shot, within 3 seconds. North York Passport Picture Centre in Service Canada building near Yonge and Sheppard. SHEILA is a fantastic photographer - I could tell she is a photographer because I am one too! She watches for details - is your shirt straight, collar tidy, wipe face for any shine because passport office will send it back if there is a shine; so thoughtful and respectful. Was so happy with my passport photos and didn't even make myself pretty - just had to get it done. CONVENIENT - Just walk in the front door and the photo centre is right there on the right. BEST I mean BEST photos you will get around the neighbourhood. I should know, was born and raised in North York and travelled extensively throughout my lifetime. db

We went their with our 2 weeks old daughter and Yasmin clicked her pictures effortlessly and even manage to keep her awake (eyes wide open).. our photograph was rejected by passport office due to minor issue, we went back to Yasmin and without any hesitation she clicked new pictures and did not charge anything extra.... We (the family) having been using the services of Scarborough Passport Photo Centre for over 5 years,. We have ALWAYS appreciated the Patience and Understanding in dealing with 2 of our baby girls, in getting there pictures, and also my wife and myself... With our first daughter we went to another photographer/company first, and our 4 month old started to cry and they where not understanding, and asked us to come back when she wouldn’t cry, REALLY!!! So when we found SPPC, we where so relieved, as she did cry again, and Yasmin (I believe is the owner) comforted her and she stopped crying, and the photo was taken... Just this past week, I mentioned to one of Yasmin’s employees how difficult it’s been to submit all the documents needed to get my wife’s Canadian Citizenship. She said call Yasmin, as she will help us in this 5 year journey we have been on! After speaking to Yasmin, she made a appointment with us, and paid her assistant to come in and work, while she helped us out... Just to give context, I tried hiring a lawyer specializing in Citizenship Applications, and after meeting with him, and realizing that he didn’t seem to know what he was doing, I was at a loss to figure out what to do next... And incredibly, he said his services would cost $1,600.00 dollars and he couldn’t guarantee anything, WOW!!! This journey was very stressful for my wife and I, as we heard the horror stories of making mistakes on the application... So after meeting with Yasmin and following her instructions, we submitted the Application yesterday, HOORAY!!! And to top it off, Yasmin wouldn’t take a penny from us, now that’s class!!! I asked her why she was doing this for us, as I have the means to pay her, and her reply was “I like to give back!!!” GOD BLESS YOU YASMIN!!! UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE!!! My wife just became a Canadian Citizen, GOD BLESS YOU YASMIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Awesome reception. We recently went to apply new passport for our infant. I could not find a phone number which could be used to discuss on things to do before reaching there. So i took everything i had. After reaching there at 330 on a friday. Remember this place closes by 4pm. They are really busy, yet calmly handle everyone. They considered each case with care. Although there were so many kids, screaming laughing playing,etc.... ; it never bothered the workers. I checkout by like 430. Late only due to the queue. No photos on premises.

Great place to get passport photos done. It was a little on the expensive side in my opinion but the lady the took my daughters photos is so pleasant. We went to other places that was cheaper but they refused to take her photo because she's only 5 months they insist shes too small. Unfortunately i didn't get the lady's name but she was the one working on August 27 around 1pm. She's very friendly, greets you as soon as you walk in the door and she was ready for everything my baby needed to focus. Highly recommend this place.

From the moment I walked in to the store in a panic I felt I was in the hands of a wonderfully competent, kind, caring and fun woman. My photos of my 6 week old son from somewhere else had been rejected and I needed them redone in a hurry. Yasmin was absolutely amazing to deal with. She had everything I needed to have the photo taken. She had the clothes, toys ect necessary to make it such an easy experience. But above all else she has the personality that my son just loved and it took no time at all and I was rushing up to the passport office again to submit his photos by 4.30 closing! And might I add my son looked incredibly cute in his photo. I wish I had known about this place for my daughters photos 2 years ago! WOW!!! Yasmin is definitely worth all of the well deserved hype she's received in these reviews... and then some! My family and I went to Wal-mart in Durham last night for our Passport Photos and to say I was horrified with the results would be an understatement! No one had a good shot...but mine?... well I was very close to crying. When I got home I googled Toronto locations near where I work and and found this angel! The before and after speaks for itself. I cannot begin to explain how amazing this place and the woman who works there (Yasmin) is! I had the worst morning finding out my passport had been expired at the office and after googling Yasmin's store being in the same building as the passport office, I went straight there. I was sweaty and panicky but she made sure I looked good before my passport picture (which they NEVER do!!) was taken. She gave me the forms to fill out, told me to take a deep breath and said she would check up on me..which she did. Her gentle, calm, assuring demeanour and her zeal in being there for me made the difference in my day. After I had issues at the passport office, I came down to her in tears and she gave me a big hug and told me to take a deep breath. I would have fallen apart without you today! I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this store. I had to renew my passport and went to a Walmart in Durham Region to get a photo. I thought the pic was ok. I went to the Scarborough Passport Office and my agent told me right away that there was a problem with my photo. I just want to say here that the woman who served me at the Government Passport Office was very professional and courteous, but I had to get my picture redone. They gave me a form to take to the Walmart in the mall and have my photos redone. I had parked, its a bit of a hike and I had no idea where exactly the Walmart was so I decided to go into this little store to get them done. I am so glad I did! Yasmin made me look 10 years younger! She put a little powder on my face to reduce any shine I guess and smoothed down my hair a little. I had to do some contortions to get the right position, (that was funny) my posture is bad; but the end product was fabulous!! I now have a 10 year passport with a slick me! Thank you!

I carefully chose the Scarborough Passport and Photo Centre out of several other photographers to take my 10 year passport photo after my last (5 year) one turned out awful. This, especially in contrast to the one five years previous, which I had taken at defunct Black's Photography, who took the best pic I've ever had on any ID ever. Period. About my experience here, my expectations were exceeded on all fronts. Yasmin goes above and beyond to take the best photos, including swapping jackets and shirts, as she did with me (after I lost about 20 pounds over the past year and didn't form-fit my already re-cut shirt and sport jacket). I was prepared to pay double what I did and it would've been well worth it. The only thing that could've been done better is having the option of overhead lighting, which would have helped with the shadow under my eyes, something that is very difficult for me to control. I've already recommended Yasmin to several people in my family who have to get their passports renewed- and that's less than 24 hours later. She even helped look for my phone, which I misplaced and found shortly thereafter. Just fantastic!

Although there's this Pandemic that's happening there is no need to line up outside (Service Canada and Scarborough Passport Photo center is inside the same building). Just go straight inside the building but inform the guard to avoid misunderstanding cause they might think you are skipping the line. ????????????‍♀️ For the service: Yasmin was really sweet. She helped me make feel comfortable. Also before I went there I have to check thru phone call if there's anything I need to do or reminded about before going there which she answered right away. I had a great experience at this photo center. I had called up the center first to see if there are any requirements as I had to take picture of my baby. The owner explained everything over phone to the exact point and booked us for the early morning appointment. Reached there on time and within 5 minutes we were out with the perfect photos, which were accepted by the passport office on the same day. I would also like to mention that this center was recommended by the passport office itself as they had to reject our photos twice (both taken at pro passport centers in Toronto). Beware of price here. I would say that you start reading low reviews and understand why some customers were not happy. I paid 25 CAD for 2 photos (PR Card specification). It is like, be little sweet and charge extra with smile on your face. Some customers do not need pampering, they just want competitive pricing. Lessons learned, ask price first hand and yeah check pricing around.

BEWARE: POTENTIAL RACIST BUSINESS OWNER. I have witnessed the owner Yasmin probe and accuse Indian customers of committing passport and citizenship fraud because they are of Indian ethnicity. She has also prioritized Muslim customers over other races likley because they are of the same religion as her. Furthermore, I've done a quick scan of all her reviews and it appears that the majority of them are fake reviews that she has paid for or done herself. The majority of them are all EXACTLY 5 stars and written in the same tone and grammar. Many of them look like inactive Google accounts which have either not reviewed any other businesses or not been active for years aside from the random 5 star review they gave to this business. Word of advice to the owner , what you're doing with the fake reviews on your business is a form of fraud and the way you treat Indian customers is racist. Just because they are not from the same religion as you or they are from a 3rd world country doesn't mean they are all commiting fraud. @Yasmin the owner: please keep politics separate from business, you're operating a photo centre not a prosecutors office. I will be filling a complaint with the property managers of the building, filing a complaint with Google to remove fake reviews, and suggesting an official audit of your business.

It's not often one finds the quality of service offered at Scarborough Passport Photo Centre. Yasmin is simply lovely and did a phenomenal job capturing a passport photo of my 2 month old son. Not only did she take the photo, but also she offered information concerning the passport office and travel safety tips. Wow, this place was amazing. I took my 3yo first thing in the morning after I found out his passport expired which was ONE day before our flight. My 3yo decided to have a trantrum and REFUSED to get a photo. I knew there was no way I could force him..definitely would not be a neutral face. The lady at this shop was so patient and slowly lured him in with a lollipop and a large stuffy. She explained that she was taking a photo of the dog and let my son take a picture with her camera. Eventually she convinced him to stand at wall and she snapped one photo (a great one I must add). The price was awesome too, cheaper than Sears I think. Then she offered the stuffy to my son to keep. I offered to pay and she said not to worry. She was so kind and patient, it was amazing. By the time we finished at the passport office, my son was willing to bring back the stuffy. Thanks so much! You were a life saver. I really started to think we weren't going to get out of the country.

We had a great experience at this location. The service is just too good. Yasmin is such a great and lovely person and she is that someone who genuinely cares about giving you the best result. My son was wearing a white shirt and as the background is also white, she offered a sweater that fit him just fine (she is so thoughtful that she has back up plans for events like these). She pays attention to details which is very much needed for government related photo submissions. My daughter had a slight issue with the photos after they were taken and Yasmin was quick to spot it and notify me to get them corrected. Absolutely fantastic service at the Scarborough Photo Centre. I went in because I had some issues with some processes for government documentation. I went multiple times to Service Canada, IRRC/ CIC (Citizenship Canada) and got no help from the government representatives at the office. I even reached out to my MP to get assistance on processing requests for SIN Confirmation & Proof of Citizenship. The MP's office said they would get back to me for an appointment but that never happened. At the Scarborough Passport Photo Centre I received all the information I needed, help filling out my documents (including pictures required and photocopying relevant supporting documents), as well as multiple suggestions on how to expedite applications. Yasmin who helped me is extremely experienced and exponentially more helpful then any of the branches of government I tried to contact. In short summary I required documentations in a time sensitive manner as a job offer was on the line, and if it was not for Yasmin I would not have been able to solve the issues and successfully get hired. Aside from comprehensive knowledge about government processes Yasmin herself is the nicest, most selfless and helpful person I have ever encountered. This is an experience I will never forget and most definitely recommend!

Went there today to get citizenship photos. The lady stamped the wrong date on the back and said it should be fine. She didn't admit this to be a mistake and didn't offer to take a new picture. Three times I mentioned that I was not happy with the date as this was not the actual effective date of when the photo was taken. I understand the lady's reasoning but the fact is, the date was incorrect. The photo itself did not meet the requirements as set out in the "Citizenship application photograph requirements" document from the Government of Canada website. Specifically the head size specifications says the "face must be square to the camera". In the picture taken, she asked me to wear her red jacket and you could see my shoulders in the picture. Also to mention, she was talking about things like citizenship fraud that was quite unnerving and to call places like equifax, tranunion, etc. But the citizenship website clearly states to call the police in cases like this. Overall, I came for one thing and this lady was unprofessional and made it too personal. REPLY TO BUSINESS' RESPONSE: clearly the person who responded to my review does not understand English. I did not say I was going to call the police on her but rather calling the police is what needs to be done when there is an issue with a lost citizenship ship/fraud. Also, you stamping the wrong date is an error. It does not matter whether this is going to pose issue with the process. You put the WRONG DATE and if your customer wants the date they actually came to see you than that is reasonable. These reviews you've received are highly questionable. Your response to my review is unprofessional and confusing.

I wish I could give this place 10 stars! I wish I had gotten her name, but I’m sure she runs the show at this place. She posed me and fixed my hair for the picture. I was worried about my picture being terrible because my previous one was and now this would be my picture for 10 years, but she made sure I looked good! She was so nice and made me laugh... she clearly loves her job. She even joked around with my elderly father. 2 photos are $18.95 and quality is fantastic.
