Matt and his team are absolute professionals who take their work very seriously but not themselves too seriously!! They are so down to earth and truly cared about capturing our family just as we are. We had a family session at our cabin at Emma Lake as way to capture our family at our favourite summer getaway spot and the photos and video did exactly that. The video captured the smallest details that I wasn’t even aware of until I saw the video. I often catch myself humming the music from our video and it reminds me of the memories we made that day. Matt is the best photographer in Saskatoon! Thank you MJ&Co - We can't wait to do it all again next year!

Matt's portfolio was initially what drew me to contacting him for family portraits. After speaking with him on the phone I was confident he would be exactly what I was looking for. An experienced photographer with a strong portfolio, and a game plan on how to tackle a young, energetic family who doesn't like to sit still. Matt took the time to ask questions to learn more about what we wanted in this process of capturing our family. He also spent time asking about each of our family members and our family dynamics. As the weeks progressed leading up to our session, I was confident Matt would be ready to take on our young family. The shoot went smoothly, in large part because Matt was so seasoned at engaging with each of our kids, keeping their interest, and working within their busy energy. In the end our family received beautiful images that artistically portray this speacial time in our life. My only wish is that we had found Matt sooner than we did. We chose Matt as our wedding photographer because he came highly recommended, his portfolio was stunning, and after meeting him at his studio to discuss the details – it was really clear he's a fast friend. Matt is a perfect balance of laid back and passionate, which means we were immediately at ease and ended up with incredible engagement photos. I called him ahead of our wedding with concerns about my only sister and my fiance's grandma and grandpa being unable to attend (pandemic problems!). He jumped into action and put together a highly produced live video production that incorporated family and close friends on a Zoom call (projected on the wall as we said our vows), as well as a Facebook livestream. Thanks to him, we were able to have everyone we love 'join us'. While we don't yet have the wedding photos back (it's only been a week!), I'm sure they will be incredible. We met Matt before our wedding in 2015. Instantly we connected with his very comfortable and easy going yet professional personality, which was so important for us when choosing someone to capture some of our most intimate family moments. We didn't want "posed" photos, rather someone with the gift of finding those beautiful "tidbits" that otherwise are lost if you are blind to them. Matt captured our wedding photos in real "live" moments - the ones you think back on in reflection of special days and wish you'd captured - he did that and so much more. We are so happy we chose MJ&Co as our wedding photographers! We met them in person the day before our wedding after a number of fun skype chats in the months before (we live on the East Coast and got married in Sask) and we immediately felt so at ease that they would be capturing our celebrations. We had heard of them before and had attended weddings that they were the photographers were at so we had a pretty good idea of what to expect. Matt and Janna made us feel very comfortable in front of the camera (neither my wife or I are naturals at this) and captured our engagement and wedding in the style that we were looking for. Our wedding had some significant cultural moments that they were able to capture wonderfully and made sure they caught both the smallest and biggest details. Definitely would recommend them if you are looking for a photographer!

Hey Bride to be! You are me, about a year ago, doing the research, putting in the time. You can stop here, because you’ve found it. Matt had been recommended to me by a friend who had this team at her wedding. They were amazing. Came early and stayed late. Scouted the area for locations ahead of time. Went the extra mile. True passion was very evident. They were able to direct a 16 person wedding party, three families and countless guests at our NYE wedding. This wasn’t just a job — we honestly felt like they were part of the whole day. We had guests comment that they seemed to be “everywhere and caught everything!”, and yet my husband and I hardly noticed them there at all. They were amazing. This was the fifth time that MJ&Co formally shot Smith and I for photos. We hired them back in fall of 2018 as a couple, and continued to have them document some of our biggest milestones, including our wedding day. June 5, 2021 truly was the best day ever, and so much of that was because of this team of extremely talented and devoted creators. Over the past few years, we have built a true and treasured friendship with Matt and Crystal, and it felt only right that they were right beside us on our big day. With Covid, our plans changed so much. But the one thing that stayed constant was that MJ&Co would do our photos and video, no matter what. We knew that no matter what happened, as long as we had them to document our day, we would have the most beautiful memories to hold and look back on. The day was perfection, and we had SO much fun with these guys. Matt even drove myself and the girls to the first look location, a first for him, and way better than limo service! I cannot say enough about MJ&Co. I honestly didn’t even research other photographers when we got engaged, because I’ve been following Matt’s work for years. We were lucky to have the original “J” (Janna) shooting our wedding as well, and they are such a seamless team. They were an absolute pleasure to get to know, and were such a lovely presence the day of. Not only that - the photos are insane, beyond anything I could have hoped for. Their individual styles work very well together. The day was a complete blur to me, to be honest. I didn’t really see what they were shooting most of the time; when I got the photos I sobbed for 2 hours straight! They got it all. Every little detail, all the special moments. And stunning formal photos. AND - they guarantee a 2 week turnaround time (this is insane, and largely unheard of). And engagement photos are included in the package. I believe their prices are in line with most reputable photographers in Saskatoon.
