I've had my photo taken my academy studios twice now and was disappointed both times. They pose you incredibly unnaturally and all my photos look robotic. Looking forward to taking iPhone pictures on convocation day that will look better.

Consistently misspelled my name and contact information, causing me to miss order deadlines. Overpriced order options. And told me my order was ready for pick-up when it actually wasn't for almost a week later (cue me sitting in the lobby for half an hour waiting for it to be completed). Overall, they messed up 7 times between my initial photo sitting and when I picked up my completed order.

Extremely disappointed. I got my grad photos taken here, and what an absolute waste of $35 for the sitting fee. The photographer was rushy and did not seem to take her time. The photos looked awful - she had me place my head in such a stupidly awkward way that I formed a double chin in my pictures. Additionally, I have a scar in my eyebrow that I have accepted as part of my face - the photographer went out of her way to suggest that they can photoshop it out for an extra fee. The way that she brought it up felt like I should be ashamed of the way my face looks. I have no desire to change my appearance for a photo, I am perfectly happy with the way I look naturally. If I could get a refund for my wasted $35, I definitely would. I recommend that you do not waste your time here.

My graduation photos were absolutely hideous, and the only retouching done was to remove shine from my forehead and baby hairs.. you have to pay extra for them to remove blemishes etc after you're already paying an arm and a leg for your photos. Also, the photographer was quick to point out how my nose looked crooked (something I am self conscious about as I had broken my nose months prior) and still took every photo from angles that made it look even MORE crooked. I still purchased the photos because I wanted to have grad photos, but I regret it now after seeing my photos from convocation day... hell even the college photographer and my iPhone 8 can take better pictures than the academy studios photographer.

I went in for my graduation sitting not too long ago, and the staff was super accommodating and nice.. Louise, the photographer, was the sweetest ever. I went in there alone and worried that I had no one to tell me to fix my hair or whatever but she really makes sure you're comfortable and LOOK GOOD!! I highly recommend them :)

I am not impressed with your staff and your service. I've placed an order for my graduation photos and it's been over 2 weeks and you phone to tell me you can't track them down, are you kidding me. Not courteous about it over the phone nor apologetic. I've been waiting for how long now, your staff tell me their going to look again but tell me they will phone me if they can't, what kind of service is this. how about phone me back already or return my damn money for these overpriced prints. I will not be recommending your company

Really great experience! The staff were friendly and excited even though they were doing pictures all day. I was worried about bad grad photos haunting me for a lifetime, but the photographer here was so precise (" tilt your head a little more... let's fix this curl... I am going to use some hair spray to help this part...") That I had no doubt th photos are going to turn out well. I usually hate having my picture taken but at Academy Studios, they treated me really well and it was actually a great experience!

For over 20 years we have had Academy Studios do our preschool pictures and we are always so pleased with the work Louise and her staff do for us. Louise manages to capture the most natural smiles and parents wonder how she does it! The quality of the pictures is superb and the turn around time from when pictures are taken to when packages are returned is excellent. We appreciate that the work is all done locally! The photographer did a wonderful job and it really felt like she has been in this business (professional photography) for a very long time. However, the price are ridicuouly costly to get them printed!

The front end staff person immediately helped me to feel at ease and promptly answered my questions. Without exception, she was courteous, friendly and professional. The photographer's skill was also impressive. Her years of experience (which she disclosed to me) are obvious - she paid close attention to all of the minute details that would affect the outcome of the photos, like fly-away hairs and the frequently shifting hood and gown. She was also very patient and efficient in providing posing instructions. I was so pleased with how the pictures turned out, and was especially surprised at how "zen" I appeared in some, which is a testament to the photographer's expertise at directing her subjects, I think. All things considered, if you can afford them, these portraits are (more than) worth the money.
