This place feels surreal for any creator out there. If you need a sleek place with lots of space for photoshoots this is the place to go. As of equipment they have a variety of equipments and if you happen to forget anything they probably have it there, some for rent($$) some free of charge. In addition to that, there are alot of props you can work with and make you pictures stand out.

Studio apparatus is the PERFECT place for shoots, weddings, portaits, etc. Its a photographer's play ground and you can move the furniture anywhere in the studio to give it a different look or feel. The possibilities are endless! Igor was very helpful with getting our wedding party and vendors up and down the elevator. He provided water and coffee for us as well. The space is wonderful and both Elliot and Igor have been so helpful.

Studio Apparatus has a wide range of helpful and reasonably priced add-ons to supplement your personal tools. Marla was helpful and kind to set us up with additional lighting in order to combat the creeping dark Minnesota winter. The spaces at the studio are unique and dynamic. You have a multitude of options to create a variety of image-types depending on your session "genre." We took some fun and professional team headshots and love how they turned out between the different natural backgrounds!

I bought a 10 hour package that I will have used up in a month's time. The location is clean and very well put together. There is enough room to be creative with all kinds of different shoots/projects. In addition, I just shot with a family at the studio. The family said the studio was ideal for what they were looking for (Studio A) having a white backdrop that they can use to match previous family picture sessions. I will definitely recommend this studio to other professionals and creatives as well as to other clients wishing to use a studio setting. -Benny

Studio Apparatus was incredible. The management was on top of their game with help and communication. The space was exactly what I needed and what I was expecting from their website description. It was a great experience for the whole shoot team, their speakers worked great to play the music we needed for the mood of the shoot, we were generously offered coffee and tea and water often and had tremendous fun using the space and MANY props offered at our disposal in the studio. I gave it a 4 star as they were still reconstructing the building which made it very hot and humid while using the studio. Otherwise, it was a nice studio. The set up lady was nice and helpful.

This studio is extremely affordable for the price, not to mention there are a ton of different bays to shoot in, all with different styles. They have so many props that I never have to bring my own. I used to rent hourly at different studios, but for the price, this one just has the most to offer.

great atmosphere, amazing staff, extreme attention to detail. we were the first to host our entire wedding in their space, and it was a truly wonderful experience. the owners shot our photos and video while assisting us in organizing an amazing event complete with a meal and a reception. 10/10 would recommend to any photographer needing a space, creative looking for a network, or client needing a space that is able to tailor make any experience .

Rented the space to shoot a documentary and couldn’t be happier. There were some sound issues, but the studio team was amazing at trying to help minimize the issue. The space is stunning and full of gorgeous views that make photo shoots or anything super easy, as turn around is totally doable! Most of the equipment they have is for photography, so if you’re looking for film stuff make sure you double check. Reasonably priced, friendly atmosphere, and striking looks! Thanks guys!!

Their professionalism and help getting into the studio (there’s currently construction all around the area) was impeccable. I was freaking out that we wouldn’t be able to do our studio session and within minutes, a member of their team responded with grace and poise. I think what made me smile the most was the aesthetic of this studio. It’s open, A TON OF ROOM, and so many options for backgrounds, props, and how you want to approach your session. I was able to capture my couple AND do a boudoir session within the same hour! Cannot WAIT to come and shoot here again!

We were worried about the lighting because it was on a gloomy morning, but the studio was very well designed and painted and the natural light was incredible - even with overcast skies! This is a great studio space with so much to offer, and at an affordable price. They recently invested a lot into their space, so please, check them out. The bright, open space is fantastic for either photo or video shoots. I shot a handful of videos there and both the audio (it was quiet the entire shoot - no external noise issues) and video turned out fantastic. The team behind Studio Apparatus were easy to work with and helpful. I highly recommend using Studio Apparatus for your next shoot.

We recently booked Studio Apparatus for a portion of our wedding photos. The space is beautiful, spacious, has great natural light, and the staff was very accommodating. Elliot was awesome and greeted us promptly upon our arrival. He even had ice water readily available for us on a very hot, 90 degree day, which was very sweet and much appreciated! With the craziness of our wedding day we ended up being there for just about 20 minutes, but were able to still get a wide variety of shots with the various backdrops and rooms available within close proximity of each other. In addition to being a great primary shooting space, it is also a great backup space for wedding photos in the case of inclement weather. I highly recommend Studio Apparatus for any of your photography needs!

Great space!! Beautiful lighting! Everything you may need is in the studio! We loved everything about this place! The only thing I was concerned about was that the bedroom sheets/blankets and pillows had people’s hair, dust, and crumbs every where. It didn’t look as though they clean it as much. BUT overall, great place and great staff!

The staff at Studio Apparatus were so welcoming and helpful the day of our event. Elliot greeted us with a smile and made sure it was smooth sailing for the remainder of the afternoon for our crew. The space has everything you could need for a successful shoot including amazing light, different wall surfaces, a small kitchenette, makeup station, music and an overall excellent vibe. The building has flatbeds for your equipment which was really helpful at the loading dock and up the freight elevator to the 6th floor. Loading in and out is easy with these flatbeds. This studio is incredible. The space is open and bright, the staff are so friendly and helpful. They have a variety of natural background options (white walls, grey, brick, etc), and a lot of furniture options (everything from antique style loveseats to peacock chairs). The studio feels safe and allows for a creative mind to know no boundaries.

My ladies and I got ready at Studio Apparatus in St Paul. If you are looking for a fun, modern looking space, I’d highly recommend it! I wanted a space that would photograph beautifully and didn’t want to get ready at a hotel. Studio Apparatus has large windows, white brick walls, beautiful furniture, a spot for hair and makeup and a fun kitchen space. It was perfect for us!

To be honest- I have not even stepped foot in Studio Apparatus but I felt the need to leave a review! I contacted Studio Apparatus on Friday as I had a styled shoot planned at a mostly outdoor venue for Sunday and the forecast was predicting thunderstorms. I emailed back and forth with Elliot and he put my mind at ease and said we could definitely come use their external space if the weather did not permit for our outdoor shoot. He was incredibly timely all weekend as I emailed questions and updates. The weather ended up turning in our favor and we got to keep our original location but just from my interactions with the studio I would highly recommend it and am convinced I need to make my way in very soon!!
