I’ve never experienced such terrific communication and genuine feel-good moments. Audra; thank you for what you do. Jennifer, never have I experienced a photographer so genuine as yourself! While some photographers may be great at their trade; they often times have made me feel icky and uncomfortable while being photographed (I’ll ALWAYS choose being behind the camera versus in front of it) and I didn’t feel this way at all. Waking into Jennifer’s studio and being made to feel welcome as if you stepped into someone’s home is unique in itself. Jennifer not only makes you feel comfortable, she is hospitable (care for some water?), communicative (let’s sit and chat a while) and welcoming (feel free to change in this room/make yourself comfortable/care for a snack?) Her husband kind and genuine and is a key player to the photography session as well. We were fortunate to see a post on Facebook looking for families with dogs and signed up for this session. Our dog is nearly 8 now and it’s been some time since we last have been photographed as a family. Jennifer’s work isn't merely photos; it’s black and white artistry and we are over the moon with excitement to see our finished choice. Thank you!

My family and I participated in the complimentary portrait session with Jenn and Jim 2 weeks ago. What an incredible experience from start to finish. We were kept informed of every step of the process from booking to reveal meeting. Audra's customer service beforehand was detailed and consistent. We received several text and email reminders for our portrait session. We knew what to expect in terms of pricing for artwork after the complimentary session as well (and that there was absolutely no obligation to purchase). From the moment we parked in front of their studio in downtown Lockhart, we were treated with the utmost kindness. Jenn and Naomi helped us carry items upstairs to their loft studio. Jenn, Jim, and Naomi welcomed us with open arms and plenty of snacks and drinks for a hungry toddler and 4yo. It was not an easy feat to get our kids corralled for photos but they were patient and adept at getting and keeping kids' attention. They were gracious, kind, and professional. Jenn really captured our growing family's personality. We brought our 4 week old baby and she was even able to make me feel beautiful in the immediate weeks following delivery. I am absolutely blown away by the beauty of the portraits now that we've had our reveal session with Audra. These pieces of artwork are a true investment. This was such a special portrait session to have with our family. I look forward to having the opportunity to update our family's portraits in the next few years. 10/10 recommend Jennifer Lindberg Studio for impeccable quality artwork and amazing customer service. They were so amazingly kind and professional. I have six kids ages 17,13,9,5,3,1 so I was worried walking into the studio but the engaged well with the kids. The only thing I wish was that they would have done more poses and mixed thing up. To purchase so many portraits of very similar poses was a bummer but, I wanted the storyboard so bad I just made do. Other than that I have no complaints at all!

We had a fabulous experience with Jenn and Jim! We have always wanted to get family portraits with our rescue dog, Oscar, but due to his issues with strangers, it’s never been in the cards before. Since moving to Austin, Oscar has made amazing progress with meeting new people, but he’s also had some serious health issues this past year. When we found Jennifer Lindberg Studio, we thought this would be a great way to commemorate Oscar while he’s still with us. It's hard to articulate the value of the portraits themselves- they're indescribable. To put something in to words, it'd be the service. The studio offers such an accommodating setup and a comfortable atmosphere. They make you feel right at home during the shoot and have a way of bringing out the absolute best from non-photogenic people, like myself. The shoot has a natural pace, nothing feels rushed. It can fit your desire- my group of my dad, my dog, and myself, had plenty of time to comfortably change, rearrange, etc. They made themselves available for a chat after that looked out in to the beautiful Lockhart City Courthouse yard... If nothing else, this was an amazing experience. The *else* has to be the portraits. Jenn and Jim adequately captured a moment in my life at exactly the time I wanted it in exactly the way I wanted to remember it. I wouldn't trade them for basically anything :)

I believe in paying for quality for lifetime assets like kid’s portraits and Jen delivered again 10 years later here in 2019. I highly recommend her!

"I just need a minute to collect myself" i said in happy tears, over and over, after viewing the 66 portrait images that Jennifer created of me with my 4 beloved furry family members. I have about 13,000 photos of my dogs on my phone, and at least a hundred are nice enough to be framed and displayed. I have never had is photos of ME with them, nor of our family. I was stunned by the unexpected emotion in the images, the joy, the love, the personalities I could see and feel in the photos Jennifer created. I was crying at photo #3 and it took a few minutes to collect myself at the end of the presentation... all I could say was "I was just not expecting this." I arrived at the studio for our session having no idea what to expect, with 3 large dogs and 1 large, semi-wild 50# puppy. The photographers met me at the door, helped me carry things in, helped me wrangle dogs, watched over the dogs so I could change, had toys and balls, and worked with me seamlessly so that the session was SUCH A FUN experience for all of us. And now I have a TREASURED gallery of family portraits that capture and showcase the personalities of each of my pups, my relationships with each of them, and the crazy and hilarious family dynamics when we are all in one room with two squeaky balls and a frozen duck. I am blown away by the digital images I received. And the quality of the wall artworks and display box are absolutely everything I hoped they would be.

I have hesitated writing this for a few weeks now, but I want to be sure families know what they are “applying” for as this was not communicated with me and my family prior to our “complimentary session”. Yes, you will receive a free session, but please be aware this does not include ANY of the photos. It is the time of the session only. This includes no photos taken during the session whatsoever, with the exception of the $150 gift certificate that can be applied towards your purchase. Please be aware that the price for one photo, printed only, no digital release, at a size of 12 x 12, is $495. If you are looking for digital photos, you will be asked to pay over $1800 for 6 photos. Canvas prints are in the $2-4,000 range. This is not a secret (they say), as some prices are listed on their website, but in our experience a few weeks ago, it was not clearly communicated. If you are like me, you will spend time and money picking coordinating outfits for your family, making the drive to Lockhart, and will be thoroughly disappointed when you find out that you will be asked to pay a minimum of $400 for ONE PICTURE!!!! Please know, our session with Jim and Jenn was lovely. They seem like very kind and talented people. I just wish the entire process would have been accurately advertised, communicated and completely upfront. The woman who held our consultation was evasive about pricing each time I asked, which should have been my red flag. When I asked the cost of the digital images, I was told we would go over the details in the “reveal session” in the weeks after our photo shoot. This type of business model and lack of honest, upfront communication is so disheartening, especially during a global pandemic. I understand that paying thousands of dollars for photos works for some families and that is great. I just hope this reaches families who might be in a similar situation as mine who sign up for this with pure joy and excitement, because I have never felt so letdown by a small family owned business in my life.
