As you can read, it reaches an feddbacks average is virtually the highest, and it's founded on a large number of opinions, so we can be pretty sure that the assessment is quite faithful. If there are many people who bothered to leave their feddback when they are happy with the service, is that it works.
You know that we do not usually bother to give evaluations when they are good and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or incidence...
This Photo Studio belongs to the category of Art gallery.
Wasn't expecting duck and head cheese, the menu didn't specify the 'meat' on the Ploughmans board. Neither of us ate it. The lobster dip wasn't blended well so it was mostly cream cheese with the odd piece if lobster. We were disappointed.
Good food and great gallery with beautiful gardens. Cafe was very busy when we went so service was a bit slow but overall a great experience.
This is "THE" place to go if you want to have a very special and exquisite dinner!! Be sure to make a reservation at least 8 hours before you want to go... this is how busy this place is. And arrive at least 45 min prior your reservation so you can have a drink while you are visiting the wonderful garden and art gallery !! We will go back for sure !!!
Excellent landscape!! Beautiful Bali sculptures and onsite made pottery. Exquisite pieces. A diamond of a find while driving through.
Food was prompt and amazing. The atmosphere was awesome. The waitress was attentive.
If you really like great art, fine crafts, this is a great place for it. I'm just not a big fan, though I do like to see some of it. I like some of the pottery, for sure.
Always great food, beautiful art and unique pieces to find or just admire and the furniture is outta this world
I dont even know what to say about this place except that I loved every inch of it ... the staff was very friendly .. all the art work was amazing
Lovely ambiance, place is super cared-for and well maintained.. out door seating is a breath taker.
A beautiful shop, gallery, eatery. Lots to see both inside and out. Make sure you go to the top!!!!
Amazing art, lots of beautiful pottery which ranges from (20-100$), the gardens are very unique with driftwood sculptures. If you're visiting Brackley beach, the Dunes studio gallery is a must see.
This has been My favorite place on the Island for treasures, as well as the Garden walk out back is breathtaking. I have been here 2 times, but could come everyday and still find something I missed. It is a location developed from something small, but 2 Men didn't allow their dreams to fade and built an absolutely Beautiful Oasis!
What a hidden gem of a place to grab a bite and rest between our bike ride! The garden is opulent and so well manicured.
Very nice selection of crafts. Amazing looking natural wood outdoors furniture. Must see on the island.
Beautiful art, pottery, furniture and gardens. Could easily spend a couple of hours there. Would like to see them continue working on accessibility.
Beautiful gardens and art gallery with an excellent restaurant. It's a bit pricey but the food is very delicious and sitting in the art gallery near the garden offers lovely views while dining.
The food is good, and there are beautiful gardens but it’s very very pricey. I had the vegetarian Thai green curry for something like $25 and it was only a meh in taste (very limited vegetarian options here.) I’d gotten a Thai curry a few days earlier for half the price at an actual Thai place that was half the price and three times as tasty. Other non vegetarian dinners enjoyed the food by found the portion sizes small and not filling. They were very patient and accommodation with the kids in the group, but there were only two kid options- pizza or pasta, and the pizza seems to be just a baked frozen pizza. Slow service for big groups. We were there for 6 and didn’t leave till 9- keeping the children occupied with all the waiting was challenging, so this may be a better option for couples or small groups of adults.
Beautiful art gallery too.....
beautiful place
Even if you cannot afford the eclectic array of diverse artistry, you are freely welcomed to pursue the shops and the garden without a fee or hassle. There are fountains and gardens to just relax around. A restaurant on site with aromas swirling in the air to tempt you with custom dishes garnished with produce grown onsite. This is a great diversion for anyone. Just don’t break anything you don’t wish to buy.
A magical oasis, inspirational environment surrounded by art, and beautiful vibes. A playground for artists.
Beautiful garden. There's a restaurant in patio settings overlooking the garden. Most items in the garden are for sale with price tag attached to it. Must see place in PEI. You can also shop traditional items..
Very disappointed... Visited the cafe after being recommend by friends... We entered the front door and walked over to what we thought was the cafe, discovered this was a bar and we would gave to go downstairs. I asked if there was an outside entrance at ground level as my Aunt could not do rhat many steps. We were told to walk all around the complex to the back. I asked if we could get coffee at the main level and were told no...So we walked around, beautiful gardens and pond were amazing even in the pouring rain. We came to a double set of doors and entered to discover this was a furnture store and the sales person had no idea if we could get to the cafe from the back. So off I go and found the proper door, only problem was when I opened it I would we would have to climb over a customer who was seated at table in front of the door. By this time we gave up and headed to Charlottetown.
Great place, nice furniture, but don't forget your wallet
Very cool building with a variety of different art on display. The gallery has a restaurant and a place to watch an artist make pottery. The garden is very nice and contains lots of live edge wood furniture at a very surprisingly good price.
The gallery was stunning, and the items in the store were also quite interesting. Almost felt like we were snooping around in someones house for part of it! Cafe smelled lovely but we didn't eat there. Overall a must see spot!
A wonderfully scenenic shop and restaurant offering eclectic fare and scenery. Plan a few hours to take in all the sights.
Such beautiful gardens and a lovely gallery. I didn't eat at the cafe but I look forward to it on my next visit.
Squash soup delicious, flower gardens amazing
Lovely gallery and garden. I love the style of garden very much!
Just stopped in to see what was in the gallery. Lots of interesting objects. The prices are reasonable for what you get. The gardens are quite lovely even though the season is winding down. Going to try to get to the café before it closes for the season.
Was taken to this hidden gem by my brother for supper. The location, shop and meal was amazing. The location was relaxing and the meal was over the top amazing. If you are on PEI and on the way to Brackley Beach, STOP have a look and enjoy !!
Overall the experience was excellent. The whole complex is filled with interesting art pieces, beautiful dishware, gorgeous furniture and more. Their little cafe is a nice centrepiece, plus their food is so fresh I'm sure they get half their ingredients from their garden behind the building! The drink menu is extensive albeit a little expensive, and their food options were hit and miss, the quiche was great but the chicken wrap and the pad Thai left something to be desired. The outdoor section is such a nice walk around after a meal, really a nice feature.
Amazing atmosphere. A must visit for everyone. Lots of variety.
Didn't try the food. But the artwork was fantastic. Definitely worth a visit. Make sure to visit the garden.
The food is amazing! The fact that you can own everything you eat off of is really neat. I especially love the mesh between Island artisans and art from overseas
Wonderful experience! Great restaurant, lots of wonderful art to browse indoors and outdoors, plus the garden is beautiful. Highly recommended.
Phenomenal food, it's clear the chef pays attention to every detail of the dish and is more then accomdating for vegans and vegetarians. So great I was in pei for 24 hours and went twice!
This review is for the cafe- Though I do love the gallery as well. We recently went for a set menu "date night" hosted at the cafe. It was a lovely 3 course meal for a great price. We had our choice of a seafood themed meal or more of a chicken and veg, and wound up doing one of each. There was a nice bread and whipped butter before the meal- Something I miss from restaurants these days! It was such a nice treat. Our appetizers and mains were delicious- Though a lot of food for three courses if I'm honest. I had the moscow mule, which they do with tamarind added. I enjoyed it flavour wise, but did find that it settled after time (and also really got into my teeth)- A fun twist though. Maybe downing it quick with a straw is the answer. The desert was also super tasty, adorned with edible flowers! Would absolutely go back for this meal or others.
Beautiful art gallery, garden, and cafe. Try the seafood linguine! It's outstanding! Tried the chicken today! Fantastic! Truly unique to the region and a must stop when visiting PEI. By the way, the plate on the photo was made by the owner /potter.
Nice (and huge!) collection of art pieces. Worth the trip just to walk through the well maintained gardens. Very busy place
Cute spot with a small cafe and nicely manicured grounds. Good luck finding staff to help you! Do have a variety of local artists displayed.
Restaurant and gift shop. The shop features local artists: potters, painters, jewellery, wood carvings, as well as a selection of unique clothing. The owners also import statues and furniture from overseas. Beautiful garden features. The restaurant is a beautiful space for a casual, delicious meal. A great spot to spend a few hours.
Come here on a windy or cold day that you don't want to be outside, and you could lose many happy hours there admiring and taking in gorgeous works of art by both local and international artisans. The café has phenomenal fusion food inspired by both local cuisine from the island and SE Asian influences. Came well-recommended by Charlottetown native Scott, who bartends at the pilot house. We didn't regret following his advice!
Very interesting atmosphere, the food was decent but not good enough to make me want to come back soon. Had the dune salad and it seems they couldn't find a good balance between sweet and bitter for the vinaigrette. Was too overpowering.
Delicious meal prepared by an amazing chef. Definitely worth the steep price.
Beautiful setup, entertaining shop and gallery but would not recommend restaurant. Food is way overpriced for its quality. There are many better choices around on island.
Awesome place to browse through! So may different items to purchase. Also have an outdoor garden and a small cafe.
I sit outside, while my wife browses. She buys bracelets, etc. I find it pricey, after several winters in Mexico.
Nice place .Alot of cool stuff
Absolutely GORGEOUS. the gardens are worth a visit all their own, but the whole compound is lovely-- highly recommend touring the building as well as the gardens, I go everytime I'm in the area!!
I love ❤ this place I love the gaden
A hidden gem; worth visiting!
Beautiful art, furniture, and gardens. If I could afford it, I'd furnish my whole house/garden via the Dunes. The restaurant is quite good too! Highly recommend a visit here.
Beautiful grounds... lovely gallery and interesting goods for purchase.
A unique place. Worth a visit if in the area.
Absolutely love this place! The food, the pottery, the jewelry, the art, the fashion, the camaraderie; it has it all. It’s a must visit when you’re on PEI!
Great food. For lunch we had the seafood chowder, chicken wrap and lamb burger; all was delicious. Nice setting with a beautiful garden and art throughout the building. Only real fault I could find was that the building decor needs an update and there's some water damage and general wear throughout the inside of the building when you look closely. Lunch was reasonably priced for the serving size and quality we received. Attentive service and the meals came quickly. Caesar and iced coffee were great.
Showed up for a quick coffee. However after we were seated we waited for fifteen minutes and no waiter came by. Unfortunately decided to leave at that point so overall the visit was very disappointing.
Went to the cafe for dinner, everything was superb. Beautifully plated, delicious starters and entrées, and the cocktails were excellent.
Expensive but worth it for the right thing. Food is also very good
Super interesting items , very nice layout
Great service, staff was friendly and the coffee was delicious (they had non-dairy options!). Fun and cute little spot!
First off - I've never sampled the food at the cafe but I will say that the studio is amazing. A wide variety of arts and crafts from jewellery to clothes...fine art to furniture. A lot of local artistry. Staff is eager to answer questions and make suggestions.
Omg the most awesome place on the planet for great food and interesting art. I just love walking through every time to see and experience everything. The gardens are so peaceful. ❤️
Amazing place if you like art and design! The gardens are beautiful and the rooftop garden is not to be missed. I admired all of the artwork, unique wood carvings, and decor. Restaurant was packed on a Tuesday afternoon so we didn't get any food or coffee. I only spent $5 there (donation to Bali charity) and felt it was well worth the visit.
Awesome one of a kind arts, crafts and jewellery.
You have to see the backyard. Arts is also nice. Restaurant looks good
Really cool place for house furnishings, gifts and odds and ends. Certainly not your typical tourist trap filled with Chinese junk!! Yes, some of the furniture and other wood items are pricy or even down right expensive but not a single piece we saw was anything but top notch high quality material and workmanship!! We will definitely be having a table shipped to our new home...
This place is NOT kid friendly - kids and I were scowled at and cashier rolled eyes at us. Obviously couldn’t wait for us to leave. I tried to make pleasant conversation but was greeted with just a rude glare and a rolling of the eyes The only thing the kids touched was a small wooden toy of a fish that cost $80! So it’s an overpriced snooty place with beautiful gardens in the back but not worth your time if you have children or value your hard-earned $. Worst 10 minutes spent in PEI - I couldn’t wait to leave and we won’t be back. Go to North Rustico, Cavendish, West Point, or brackley beach - those are places worth your time! Lovely local artisans and a sweet lady selling beeswax items by the wharf - spent time talking with her and spent nearly $100 on lotions candles etc. Love this beautiful island and the lovely people - not sure this “studio cafe” is on the right island!
Food was incredible to enjoy while sitting aside the window, the view of the decorated gardens made for a nice atmosphere
BEAUTIFUL! Always stop here while visiting PEI. So many wonderful peices of art inside and the gardens are stunning!
Hard to believe this place exists in the middle of the country, but it does. Great restaurant and cafe, and you can find treasures in the store you'll never find anywhere else. Very cool place.
Tha gardens are beautifully maintained. The gift shop has fantastic items from Malaysia. Not far from the Beach.
The space was nice and the local artisan things were great to look at, but I did not feel welcomed at all and was not greeted by any of the staff.
This place is a must visit! The staff are really nice letting us take our drinks around the place and the atmosphere is really nice. Our family visits here Everytime we got to PEI and I'm it never disappoints
Beautiful spot to spend a creative afternoon
This place has the best food I've ever had and extremely nice staff who always know when to assist you, and shoutout to the chefs for making out of this world amazing food.
A creative, Island-inspired menu served in a beautiful setting will not disappoint. Each dish is as artistic as the gallery within which it is located. Enjoy!
Beautiful spot to browse artwork and jewellery. The hand blown glass is very nice Did not try food so cant say but a nice view of the back gardens
Consistently amazing food. The appetizer portions are quite generous. Great place for a group. The setting is unique!
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE ???? It's packed with many beautiful things and oeuvres d'art.
This place is so beautiful. I could go again and again.❤
Very disappointed. Waited for a seat in the cafe. Empty seats but the staff were busy talking to each other to seat us. Left in frustration.
A large and diverse selection of art , unique hand crafted furnishings, pottery and womens summer clothing spread over a large multi-level structure. Also, a lovely, large garden filled with unique garden furniture. Watch pottery craftsmen at work. The Dunes offers a unique dining experience. The Dunes is only 15 to 20 minutes from Charlottetown and is a stop offered by a number of small tour providers. A worthwhile stop for any travelling and local person. Public washrooms and free parking provided.
Visited today for the first time and enjoyed lunch in the Cafe before touring the studio and grounds What a picturesque place to visit!
Beautiful restaurant and gallery/gift shop. Maybe the best seafood linguini I've had. Suggest making a reservation and going 30min early to walk through the gallery and grounds. Treat yourselves, this is an excellent experience.
Some good food and lots of interesting stuff to look at.
This is a "must" stop for anyone coming to the island! The gardens alone are worth the stop...and so much more!
Every trip to PEI we visit the Dunes, but this was my first time eating in the cafe. It did not disappoint. I was with two women who are Celiac and there were at least 6 main dishes on the menu that were Gluten-Free. The drinks and cocktails were unique and delicious. I had the lobster quiche and it was one of the best quiche I have ever had in a restaurant...the crispy crust really stood out. We also had the Date Sticky pudding....melt in your mouth delicious. We had to wait over half an hour for a table when we arrived at 1:30pm so plan ahead! It was well worth the wait.
Gorgeous gardens and beautiful paintings, pottery and sculpted pieces. It's definitely worth a stop.
Stunning and beautiful! If you only have a few days touring PEI the Dunes Studio is a must stop. Artistic flare runs throughout this location from the grounds to the restaurant. Reservations are not taken for lunch or dinner, however you are given a pager to browse the shops and tour the galleries while you wait. So much to take in!
We went to the Dunes cafe for the fall 7 course dinner. It was absolutely fantastic. The chef was happy to accommodate me by offering vegan alternatives for almost every dish. The service, as always, was terrific.
This is one of my favorite stops in PEI This is a place you must visit the gallery and the backyard its a dream come true the the food is off the chain love it.
Truly a gem! No debate here. Unique things for the home and excellent food at the restaurant. I was impressed. As a foodie I do not impress easily when it comes to food.
It’s a great place to visit and I like the flowers ???? lakes grass and trees. Good for relaxing ???? I felt like to go to Indonesia here. And it’s very important that it’s free to visit.
Outstanding! PEI is lucky to have this one of a kind Gallery, Shop, and Restaurant. Plan on 2 days to see all it has to offer!
The food was great, the hostess was polite and our server was clueless. She didn't know the menu or what Rye or a single malt whiskey was. She didn't know how to describe the deserts either. She had to get another staff member to describe the desert. Too pricy for the lack of service. No one ever asked how our food was. I had to ask for water and bread.
Meandering in the gardens at sunset and through the studio of local artists' work before and after a delicious meal was the highlight. The wellcrated pottery mirrors the gorgeous color and elegance of the island. It is a beautiful reminder of a lovely visit to my birthplace.
Good food all around the garden is amazing.
A lot of very cool stuff I’ve never seen before
Food was good, but very over-priced and underwhelming. My crab cakes were tiny and the salad that came with it was looking for a life preserver because it was drowning in it's "dressing". The staff was friendly, but the space was trying too hard to be "upscale". There's not enough substance to match the facade they were presenting.
Great spot! Fantastic Cafe with wonderful food & great views. Lots of Artisan shops. Beautiful Gardens.
Beautiful selection of clothing, jewelry and pottery. The gardens are exquisite and the chef has a wonderful menu that will tempt everyone's taste.
This review is only about not being informed about the gallery’s return policy. I called and ordered 2 ikebana pottery flower arrangers, to be picked up by friends in the area as I don’t live in P.E.I. A few days before they were picked up, someone gave me the same arranger for my birthday. I called and asked if I could return one of them, as the items hadn’t even left the store. I was told that it wasn’t possible and could do a store credit. This has been quite disappointing. There was a fine line crossed as I was never told that when I purchased the items over the phone that there was a no refund policy and that the arrangers hadn’t even left their office. Not a fair call on the managers part. I had such fond memories when I went to the Dunes several years ago, and now it’s left a bitter taste.
The food is absolutely incredible if a bit expensive. We stuck to items on the appetizer menu and were not disappointed. I highly recommend the seafood chowder. Make sure to take time to check out the gallery and gardens too, there are some amazing and unique pieces everywhere you look! We will return, maybe for lunch instead of supper though.
I've visited a few times now. The cafe in the centre of the space has huge windows that provide beautiful light and a view of the gardens. The gardens themselves are worth the trip and include a vegetable garden that supplies produce to the cafe. The art (jewlery, pottery, painting, furniture, carving, textiles, etc) in the studio and gallery are all very high quality and so many of the pieces are worth admiring, even if you are just window shopping.
Awesome spot to check out in the area to see all of the art inside and outside in the gardens. Also AMAZING food - we had the seafood chowder and the lime/coconut mussels and were SO impressed! Some of the best seafood I’ve had in a while.
Excellent food, great service. Unique gift shop.
Gardens are much later than expected and rival those of fine museums. Wide selection of art pieces large and small.
Southeast Asian-style gallery with the very chic garden
This is a must see while in PEI. My aunt dragged me there and I thought great another gallery. I walked in and my jaw hit the floor. What a beautiful, funky and classy place. I learned of a sought after in house restaurant with a renowned chef and the pieces for sale in the gallery were simply breath taking. Then the garden! Need I say more. This has to be a prize winning property if not it should be. My aunt talked of the owner and unfortunately I did not have the pleasure of meeting him but to you sir I say we'll done. It was a pleasure to have shared a piece of your world.
Great if you wanna feel fancy, only ok if you're not fancy enough. That said, the garden is fantastic and it's a wonderful source of unique gifts.
How do I give this place seven stars? As I first walked in, I thought "wow!" But the thing is, each step I took, I found yet another room with the same wow factor, to such an extent that one could get lost. So many forms of art are found here, from pottery to painting to sculpture to woodworking to jewelry, just name it. And the prices cover it all, too, so this place is highly democratic. Do not miss the third floor and its view of the garden below. I could spend a whole day here. Literally. If you like art, this is the equivalent of 10 small galleries in one. An absolute must-see!
Unfortunately we waited almost an hour for our food... Not to receive it but be told it was given to other patrons. Waitress said our food would be up "soon". And this was after 50 minutes of waiting.Very disappointed. I am however willing to given them a second chance.
Outstanding! When I drove up to this place I really didn't expect what I saw. The gardens are beautiful the food was amazing and the service was right up there too. The staff was so friendly and helpful. I would definitely go back if I'm in PEI again.
Five star all the way! I could browse for hours looking at all the beautiful and unique items in the gallery and the dinner was amazing. Delicious, beautiful and well portioned. The staff and service was top notch. Its not just a meal, its an experience.
Perhaps best seafood chowder on island. Fully loaded with treats from the sea. Gracious staff
Didn't eat there but the food we saw looked good. Interesting and varied art and art work. Something for every budget. Very nice gardens.
Beautiful spot. The gardens in the back are worth the stop alone.
Love this place. So many beautiful and cool things to buy. Next time we try the restaurant, would have tried it this trip but just too many kids.
The food was sub par. The presentation was amazing but the food was pretty tasteless. The service was also very slow. I was deapointed, I was expecting a better outcome.
Lovely art gallery and store with beautiful gardens.
Great food in a fabulous spot. Friendly and genuine service. Gorgeous setting, the gardens are amazing!
We had the mussels, lamb burger and salmon salad. The portions are manageable, the side salad had a wonderful maple vinaigrette. The mussel broth was good even as a soup! This is my second time there and I love the place and their food. Their shop also has beautiful driftwood furniture, artwork and batik style ladies dresses and accessories. Get ready to spend-- not cheap but certainly quality items.
They have some nice handmade items here. Lots of different things to meet different tastes, and there's often some good sales, though some things seem overpriced to me, but might be worth it for someone else.
Gorgeous place couple minutes to Brackley beach. There is a restaurant inside with seafood and European cuisine; a gallery with nice pieces of art, tableware and jewellery; and the main attraction outside - nice garden which makes you feel like you're somewhere in Bali - with sculptures of Ganesh and Buddha, fountains, wooden benches, bushes of peppermint, flowers and sea views. Definitely recommend this place.
Very good food and environment. Especially like the Asian fusion dishes.
Omg!!!! The garden is breathtaking and the food is made from the fresh vegetables they grow in the very back of the garden. I loved every bit of this place not to mention our lunch. I highly recommend this cafe. It does get busy so make reservations.
Lots of really unique items to purchase and highly recommend eating here. A little pricey but totally worth it if you're into great tasting unique food.
Perfect. Great food, good service. Beautiful gardens. Lovely handcrafted goods for sale.
The place looks beautiful worth seeing. The chowder and stew not so great I had sandy clams in my chowder. But the staff was polite and friendly.
Great coffee, great service and the garden behind the coffee is wonderful for pictures!
Beautiful Place!! The outsd gardens are outstanding, the chef also gets all his fresh garnish and ingredients from there own garden
A truly unique place and great food. The art and the gardens were amazing!
What a beautiful and interesting place. You can spend hours looking at the unique and beautiful items in the gallery. I have visited three times and had lunch. If you have a chance to eat there in lobster season. The lobster quiche is wonderful.
Very nice displays, high end product. Want to try the Cafe next time, looked great
Good coffee, lots of art to see / purchase and a beautiful back yard. Next time I'm in the area I will try their food menu.
Very cool place with a wide variety of art on display and available for purchase. I ordered one of their specials - Haddock au Gratin - which was, unfortunately, a disappointment. However, I also had a taste of the halibut from their main menu and it was delicious. I hope to return to try another dish.
Gardens are awesome, wish i had more time to spend in the gallery
A combination of a handcraft and souvenirs shop, art gallery, restaurant and an outdoor garden beautifully landscaped and decorated with hundreds of amazing driftwood sculptures and outdoor furnitures.
Amazingly beautiful unique products and the garden is so relaxing! Highly recommended!
A beautiful setting for lunch. The food is incredible, the grounds are breathtaking. Am absolute must for everyone to visit.
Interesting and welcoming, stop in if you are in the area.
Beautiful grounds for a relaxing stroll. Stopped in to grab a coffee, extremely disappointed in the coffee.
Was my favorite place to visit in the past, however ,this year, place was dirtier, food at restaurant was terrible,inedible....old stock, nothing new to buy...
Beautiful gardens include this water feature and interesting statuary. You will enjoy viewing unique pottery that's made on-site, art work by local artists, clothing, jewellery and one-of-a-kind pieces of furniture. Stop for a light meal in the café... it smelled delicious!
Delicious food. Beautiful art. Beautiful gardens. Great shopping. Excellent experience
Great selection of pottery and all things PEI
Wonderful my wife and i go there everytime we go to pei gardens are beautiful staff and wife loves thr crab cakes
One of the most scenic properties I have ever had the pleasure of venturing, I would come back just to relax! But the food is too good to keep your hands off!
Bought a wooden duck! Place had lots of art to choose from. Also, good place to eat if you want something with a nicer atmosphere for lunch
The Dunes is an amazing complex. So much to take in. We saved the gardens for last and they were amazing.
Very beautiful, but expensive
This place is incredible! Plan to spend at least an hour. The gardens are gorgeous....and everything is for sale ????. The majority of items are truly unique — you won’t have seen them elsewhere. I particularly love the rough hewn wood tables, outdoor versions in the garden and interior versions on the bottom floor. Do not miss the top floor showroom and rooftop patio....just lovely.
Went here with the family on our vacation and we had an amazing experience. We had a bit of everything and all the dishes were well thought through and had great flavour. If you're looking for a fine dining experience on PEI, I would definitely recommend Dunes.
Had Pad Thai with rice noodles. Excellent! Loads of fresh greens, not too spicy, perfect amount of noodles...great place to shop for unusual gifts. Only grievance was no A/C...
Good food, gorgeous gardens, ok customer service. The food service ,it is a bit slow. Some of the salad was a bit too old.
The gardens were outstanding. Food was good, not as great as prior experiences. The restaurant area is in dire need of air conditioning as on a hot day/evening the excessive heat can diminish the dining experience. Really enjoyed the appetizer platter....
Very artistic and awesome gallery with nice restaurant! I love their food - especially their passion of combining asian and pei food together. Above all, I highly recommend the seafood chowder - very creamy, but not salty at all and they put generous amount of seafood. Definitely recommending this place!
The Gardens...the food...the art. What is not to love. A must visit destination every time we visit PEI
Beautiful flower gardens and many handcrafted items from pottery to furniture. It does have an amazing dining area overlooking the gardens. Only downside not all areas were accessible to strollers. Would recommend it to visitors and Islanders
Very interesting location with lots of art to see and buy, the food is tremendous with most of it grown in the well maintained, tranquil gardens.
Breathtaking, inside & out. Stop simply to enhance the beauty of your day. Walk the outdoor gardens, eat at the cafe, sample the view from the rooftop garden.
We visited the cafe, not looking for a heavy meal, but in need of some fresh seafood. The staff were friendly and very attentive. We shared a pot of the best mussels ever,...gorgeous broth with a hint of lime. We both had seafood chowder that was loaded with large chunks of scallops, potatoe, fish as well as whole mussels and clams. The chowder was outstanding. We finished with tea and a delicious pastry sampler. We enjoyed a walk in the lush gardens to wrap up a lovely evening. We would highly recommend the Dunes Cafe.
I ordered three food: one of them was uncooked, another was like leftover from last night, and the other had a hair in the food. I told them there was a hair in the food but they didn't say anything about it, even saying sorry. It was worst restaurant ever to me. I will never visit there ever.
The gallery has a variety of paintings, photographs, pottery, carvings, fabrics and there is also a Cafe. Enjoy the beautiful gardens as well
I stumbled upon this place on maps on my way to the beach and ended up spending about 3.5 hours in this art oasis. It was unlike any art gallery I had ever been to. Arts of all kind, and what was probably the best food on the island.
After a dissapointing meal from Wind & Sea restaurant, we were still hungry, so we got the chowder from Dune's. It. Was. Amazing . It was full of fresh clams and oysters, carrots, potatoes, celery, and chunks of fish in a very yummy broth. It was an extremely generous portion as well, almost 2 cups worth. For almost 15$, it was worth every penny.
For me, the highlight of the four hours spent there was strolling thru the gardens. Beautiful with many photos taken. Yes I found an "ikebana" for arranged flowers. T.c
This is a really neat place! Some very beautiful and high-end art for purchase, or to enjoy in a gallery-like setting. Beautiful garden. Interesting other gift items. Definitely worth stopping.
wow, just wow. Come for the gardens and cafe for lunch, both were amazing. great views and tons of art, crafts, etc. I can't say enough good things, a must-do on the island
The store/restaurant/gardens are truly beautiful! The food is delicious! It is definitely worth the visit!
Beautiful place with a wide variety of arts and crafts to choose from
Beautiful gardens, huge variety of art and crafts in all price ranges.
The gardens alone are worth the trip. Wide variety of gift items. Not a place I would bring young children to, lots of fragile items.
Great hand carved wood artwork, but a bit pricy. Tons of other artwork too. This is just a sample of one piece of artwork.
Beautiful setting, friendly and efficient service and delicious food. Interesting historical home with welcoming fireplaces and impressive woodwork.
A big shop. Amazing art from pottery to glass and paintings. You name it, they have it. Tons of choice. Visit their garden it is absolutely spectacular. You need at least an hour to see everything - if not more. Great! ????
Awesome place! Gardens full of beautiful flowers, Buddha’s and wood art. Great food too. Highly recommend
My experience was ok. I had the grilled salmon dish. It was cold. My husband had seafood linguine which was good. The evening was sub ordinary. Too bad it was an expensive evening.
I always leave this beautiful gallery with a one of a kind piece. It was my first time having lunch in the Cafe, but it won't be the last. Delicious and friendly service.
Great selection of unique artisan pieces.
We went here not expecting much, but I have to say this was one of the highlights of our PEI roadtrip! Beautiful woodworking as well as a great outside garden/pond. This spot is an awesome way to take a break from driving on your way to your destination. Try to add this little spot to your schedule! It might be a little detour, but it's worth it!
Beautiful spot. Gardens are beautiful. Lots of unique items in the store. Had lunch there, food was absolutely amazing and price was pretty good. Would highly recommend this place.
Amazing grounds surround incredible shopping and dining. We go to The Dunes every time we travel to PEI. Really, a must see location that won't disappoint.
Very fun experience! Beautiful gardens, interesting art, I wish we had time to try the food.
Fabulous!!! Delicious food and amazing arts and crafts. Also, stunning gardens with sculptures. Not to be missed.
Getting to eat here looks a little confusing (as people were standing around and not sure if they needed to line up) but it worked out for us in the end. Go straight to the front desk and they will give you a little beeper that you can bring anywhere on the grounds that tells you when your table is ready. That made the 40 minute (there were lots of people) wait not as bad if you go straight to the desk before looking around (there's a lot to look at). The food was great and the staff were helpful and kind.
Everything was great but there was a problem with the smoked salmon pizza my friend ordered. It was described as home smoked salmon with a white sauce. This white sauce turned out to be a sweet vanilla flavored yoghurt. It was an awful combination. We never complained. My dish was good.
The perfect place to find gifts for friends back home if you are visiting. The gardens and cafe is great and worth the stop. The views are astounding and they have some great local gifts to buy. However be careful as mixed in is some non local imported trinkets, but must is genuinely local.
Really neat place. Got an amazing dress and some nice earnings. The grounds and gardens are beautiful. It's beautifully surreal. Worth the visit.
Exceptional international and domestic arts and crafts in an architecturally stunning building. Massive water gardens and delicious, imaginative dining. The on-site pottery creations are the icing on the cake. A PEI must-see!
It is a totally beautiful place however it would be a lot better if everything was made in PEI or at least Canada.
The gallery itself is fairly decent. There is ample amount of art to appreciate and keep you engaged. The gallery itself would deserve at least 4 stars. However, we had a terrible experience at the cafe. We were not hungry so we passed on the opportunity to have lunch and told the maitre d' that we will most likely get something to drink. I asked if we could be seated, seeing the 85% of the seating was available and the cafe was not busy. She replied that we can get it to go. No explanation, whatsoever. If it's against their policy, we shouldve been informed. Anyway, we decide to order some drinks and instead of giving us disposable cups, she gave us our coffee in ceramic cups which meant we could not leave the premises. When she looked at our confused looks, she said we can walk around (which we had already done). Needless to say, we did not tip her and neither did we appreciate the lack of service provided.
Lovely gift shop with exquisite grounds.
Everytime I go there, the food and service are always great! Such a relaxing atmosphere!
Unique art with exotic statues. Beautiful garden area. The fountain was my favourite part!
Very nice - beautiful gardens!!
What an amazing place will be back one day!!
Fabulous garden and I was able to buy sale items!! Whoopee
Wow!! Amazing bistro food in the middle of the country. Great selection of savory food normally found in the big city. Had lobster asparagus quiche and it was delicious with lots of lobster. Included nice very fresh side salad. Store is a high end artist gallery (for area) with an abundance of all forms of well done items. Garden (roof top) and in back are near botanical garden quality. Once again very pleasantly surprised.
First time there. Service was great and very quick and the amount of food we got! Got to take home a container of food! Highly recommended. Would go again ????
Awesome. All kinds to see
This place is amazing. Awesome merchandise that is unique, great views, beautiful gardens, excellent restaurant. Highly recommend
This experience was phenomenal! From the hostess to the server, the food, the decor, the gardens, the building, the gallery, utensils, plates - everything was beautifully done. I had the mussels in coconut milk and expertly seasoned in eastern Asian island style seasonings. The molasses bread and butter were excellent as was the iced coffee. My husband had an awesome salad with beautiful fresh greens, chicken, and a light and delicious dressing. It was wonderful!
Great place! The gardens are absolutely superb!
A lot of very beautiful things ! Must see if you are in the area !
Really cool gallery but the cafe wasn't so good. Coffee is too expensive for it's quality. Would recommend you check out the gallery but skip the cafe you can find better.
