I don’t even know where to start with explaining how much myself and my family love Heather. She is professional, talented, personable and flexible. Heather from Calluna Studios has taken our family photos at our farm for the last five years and if willing (which she always is) will be taking them for many more years to come. Her work is brilliant but her personality is even more so. Heather has a way of moulding into the family dynamic and capturing pictures as if she was ‘mom’ in the background with her phone.... only WAY better quality. My husband, who the first couple of years grumbled and groaned about family pictures now looks forward to it like I do! Honestly- I’m not lying! My kids love her, my dogs love her, she will hike through any terrain to get the perfect shot and she is FUN. I swear I leave every session thinking ‘there is no way any of those will be good’ because I have two boys 3 & 5 who do anything BUT cooperate during the sessions. Let me tell you, I am always so wrong. Every time she knocks it out of the park and provides me with my new favourite photos. For the photos that Heather takes, I would pay pretty much anything but she is VERY reasonably priced. Her editing style is my absolute favourite. She always finds the perfect light and makes everything look so dreamy and soft. One year she photographed us it was stormy, freezing and grey. Do you think you could tell that from her photos? Absolutely not. Heather provides her clients with SO many edited photos that it will be (and is for me) difficult to choose which one gets a frame. And also, most of us probably spend more when we go to winners for ‘one thing’ than it costs to get special keepsakes from her. I could go on forever about how much we love her and her work but I’ll leave it at this: Heather has provided me with so many precious photos that I hold so dearly to my heart. The pictures of their little hands holding mine, the pictures of them running through the field together, the pictures of us together candidly as a family, but maybe most importantly for us mamas.... pictures of me with my babies that I didn’t take myself. For that alone, she can take all my money.
