(Translated) The whole of my experience at the Vieille Usine was catastrophic. First, I tried to book 3-4 days in advance by calling several times and never managed to speak with anyone. So I decided to show up on site when the day came! I bumped into a nice sign that read COMPLETE at the entrance. I waited 15 minutes in front of the said sign to chat with someone (cancellation, possibility to book on site for the days to come). All the staff looked at us but did not come towards us! So I barely accosted a non-hot waitress who told me it was full .. thats it. Horrible experience from A to Z. This place is crossed out! Je me suis heurté à une pancarte sympathique inscrite COMPLET à l'entrée. J'ai attendu 15 minutes en avant de ladite pancarte pour discuter avec quelqu'un ( annulation , possibilité de réserver sur place pour les jours à venir ). L'ensemble du personnel nous regardait mais ne venait pas vers nous ! J'ai donc accosté de peine et de misère une serveuse non-chalante qui m'a dit que c'était complet .. thats it . Horrible expérience de A à Z. Cet endroit est barré !

After visiting the old historical General store museum around 2pm we passed by La Vieille Usine to have a pinte of beer and eat something. We were seated in about 15 minutes. Understandably shortage of servers was visible. Our server took our order very fast. Beers arrived very fast. Then we waited about 45 minutes for our soup order. Meanwhile everyone arriving after us was being served with their food orders. At one point I had to ask in French "did you forget our order?" She answered. "no didn't forget" which clearly she had forgotten. The grilled bread that comes with the soup was stale. The soup was nice at $ 25.00 the meal size bowl. Big chunks of fish but broth lacked flavor. If you are at the area go there. The beer selection is awesome. The food is ok. Nothing to rave home about.

What a GEM! Where do I even start? From a warm welcome by Philip to LIVE music that everyone was foot-tapping to on a Saturday night. Everything that followed kept adding positives to the experience. I am a vegetarian. I have had veggie food almost everywhere in Quebec. I have to say that their vege burger is up there in top 3 vege burgers in Quebec!! A HUGE thanks to the CHEF! After the meal we had the chance to have VEGAN Brownie that was to die for!!! If you are in Perce or Gaspe, find time for this gem! Especially if you are vegetarian... I know sounds crazy, but it is that good!

Very disappointing experience during peak vacation time. We showed up around 1:30pm, immediately mentioned the kids were ferociously but yet it took forever to get an order in and get our food. We ended-up spending more than 90 minutes just for appetisers to try to get on our way and yet it cost us over 130$ for 4 small (but very good) appetisers and a pizza for the kids. Overall poor service and pricey.

I travel a lot and visit a lot of restaurants, this one has a charming environment, the food overall is really good, forget the overpriced crab or lobters club sandwich it's not worth it at all, the fried fish is amazing. Une grande portion de pommes de terre insipide et une petite louche de sauce avec quelques crevettes et 2 pétoncles. Pour 33$ là encore on est en attente d’en avoir un peu plus. Salade d’accompagnement bien, colorée et bien relevée, mais un tout petit bol. J’ai pris la bavette qui était bien tendre avec sauce aux poivres bien réalisés. Mais j’ai demandé d’ajouter des légumes pour replacer les pommes de terre. Encore ici qu’une petite portion de haricots. Le service a été bien fait malgré l’achalandage. Pour une facture de 120$ , de bien petites potions et une bien grande déception. Nous sommes des touristes et avons le sentiment d’avoir été traité par la cuisine en sachant que l’on ne reviendra pas. Il faut prendre soin des assiettes avec un prix de ce niveau.
