Union Eleven had come highly recommended, so it was an easy choice for us to book Brittany for our wedding. She was extremely professional, and at the same time relaxed and flexible, which fit nicely with our personalities. I did not have a wedding planner and did a lot of the decorations and prep work myself, so it was nice to simply book Brittany and leave the rest to her. She knew the venue (the Museum of Nature) very well and we were so happy with the shots she chose. It was very easy to leave the decision-making to her and we ended up with a beautiful slideshow and photo-book to remember our special day. I plan to use Union Eleven for family prints as we grow our family and would recommend them to anyone who asks.

My wedding was last night and I'm so tired but I need to write a review for these photographers. Why? Because I feel the need to encourage people to seriously consider these wonderful people. And I haven't even seen the pictures yet! Andrew and Derrick made us feel comfortable, respected and we had so much fun with them! They were extremely professional from the moment we signed the contract to the last photo of the night. They were truly inspired artists and it felt great for us to be a part of their work. They say the photos are one of the most important things for your big day. With Union Eleven you are constantly reassured that one of the most important things of your day will be executed perfectly. My guests told me repeatedly that they loved our photographers and they seemed to be everywhere at all times taking pictures. There is really nothing I could criticize about Union Eleven. They've kept us informed and happy from day 1. They were not just photographers but awesome people to have around.

My husband and I discovered Union Eleven through a friend and she was spot on when describing the exceptional quality of work this studio does. We communicated with many of the Union Eleven photographers and they were all accommodating, knowledgeable, and very reassuring (which is always a bonus!). Although we didn't go in with a particular photographer in mind, Davey's schedule suited us best. Right from the get go he was easy going and very flexible. Neither my husband or I are particularly big on taking pictures and I do not consider myself photogenic - but I have to say that after seeing our engagement pictures we were SO impressed! The experience as a whole was relaxed and friendly and easy (again bonus!). When it came to the wedding, he was great too! It rained most of the day but Davey and Veronica really did their best to get every shot on our list and in the end the pictures turned out absolutely beautifully (his candid shots are just phenomenal). I cannot recommend Union Eleven or Davey enough!!!

We loved the wedding videos we saw on their website, and knew that videography was something we wanted to include for our wedding, but this is far beyond my wildest dreams of what we could have, and exceeded all my expectations. The photos and videos captured all the little bits and pieces of the day that show exactly what we remember it feeling like! Every time I go through them, I catch something new, and I still can’t believe that it’s our wedding - it feels too good to be true! Their work has such a timeless quality to it, and we know when we look back on these photos and videos for years to come, we will be brought right back to our day. Although there is no shortage of talented wedding photographers in Ottawa, what set them apart during our ‘search’ was their responsiveness to our questions and willingness to work with our not-so-ordinary schedule on our wedding day. Derrick and Jessica are both super down to earth, and it was easy to get comfortable in front of the camera with them. This was a most touching experience for me to watch. Although I never met General Carr, I heard about him when I was a young girl in high school when I met Vriginia at a house party and on a few other occassions. I sincerely appreciate to have been able to watch and listen to everyone at the funeral service and seeing the older photos presented by Gini of her family's life and learning about her father's amazing talents , achievements and unwavering personal goals. I honestly felt his presence as if he was watching my reaction, which swelled with tearful admiration as I watched the video of the service that Gini sent me. I felt his presence and I know that he felt the respect and admiration that I have always had for his little girl Virginia who now is a beautiful and accoomplished woman. I''m sorry that I never had the opportunity to meet Gen Carr and his wife. And as they say SYOTOS and i hope he will be waiting so that we can meet later.

Union Eleven was fantastic to work with! Brittany shot our wedding on November 8th in Ottawa and was amazing. She knew the local spots and was able to adapt to changing weather (snow) to get some cool scenes for shots. For two people who are typically a little camera shy, Brittany was able to put us at easy in front of the camera and made it a really fun experience. Brittany was very professional and clearly knew her stuff. We were in good hands. The staff at the studio were very friendly any were very quick to respond to emails etc. We would highly recommend Union Eleven to our friends.

I was the girl that never wanted to get married. Ever. And I viewed the whole big, elaborate celebration as being mostly a waste of energy and funds. But, watching Andrew's absolutely breathtaking portfolio of wedding shots develop over the years convinced me of this one certainty: If I ever found a forever partner, and actually wanted to engage in this whole wedding nonsense, I wanted Andrew to photograph it. And, despite the hype, when the time came, Andrew STILL exceeded every expectation that I had. What Andrew did for us is not wedding photography. It's art. For super picky customers who want something beyond the traditional wedding photography, Andrew is a gift. He sees the potential in weird spaces and raw moments, and turns it into captivating and truly honest images. Our wedding was a blur of sheer joy and delightful chaos, and I was worried that I hadn't really soaked up enough of it in the moment to remember it accurately, but Andrew's photos captured it all so perfectly that now I have it forever. Andrew is also the consummate professional, who blends seamlessly into the festivities. He listened intently to our vision for the wedding, and didn't balk at the tight timelines that he was given. And while I was a bit nervous that he might be upset and stressed out by our non-traditional "venue" (an indoor courtyard of a business complex that had never been used for a wedding and had no type of event support whatsoever), his eyes filled with excitement when we delivered the news - and he instead spoke of how awesome it would be for him to take on a new setting and immediately launching into the "cool" potential of the site. I could go on for pages, but I will leave it at this: Andrew and his team at Union Eleven are the real deal. Put hiring them on your "to do" list. Even above that white dress.

We were married in early October 2020 in Ottawa and with upholding public health guidelines we wanted to balance having our close family and friends present for the ceremony- this is where Union Eleven came in with their live streaming services. We were able to have both a small in-person ceremony and have an opportunity for our family and friends across the country to share in our special day. Union Eleven was able to live-stream using different vantage points and ensuring that our microphones were active/muted at appropriate times. Andrew arrived early to the venue to allow for plenty of time for set up. I was glad to hear that I wouldn't need to wear a microphone with my dress and my husband's microphone would pick up normal talking volume with no issues. I was extremely happy with the streamed content, and I have been able to download it as an amazing memento to watch again. I would definitely recommend this live streaming service to anyone planning their special day!

When we found out we wouldn’t be able to have all of our friends and family attend our wedding, we immediately decided we wanted to live-stream and to hire someone in order to ensure everything went smoothly. Hiring Union Eleven was by far one of our best decisions. We had to move our date twice, due to covid restrictions, and Andrew & Derrick were incredibly flexible and accommodating, answering all of our questions promptly along the way. Andrew and Cameron were at our venue for most of the day prior to our wedding, ensuring we would have a flawless video and livestream. We had friends and family all over the world who said it was like watching a movie. I originally booked Union Eleven before any other vendors for our wedding - even selected our date based off of when they were available. As a hobby photographer myself I was looking for a studio that didn't just take standard portraits, but one that had an artistic style, and focused on candid shots so we could best remember our wedding day. I also loved their editing style and how the colour in the photos is natural, and not too trendy and blown out. Being delayed several times due to covid I was extremely impressed with how well the studio was able to work with us, and made the process as stress free as possible - which was so so helpful at the time. We had Derrick shoot our wedding at our family cottage and could not have imagined a better person for the day. He fit in extremely well and did such a good job at making me and my husband (we are both camera shy) feel comfortable. We received so many compliments from our guests about how great he was, and we were laughing after about how many angles he was getting photos from - yet you never even noticed how much he must have been running around. We were so lucky to have both Derrick and Andrew photograph our wedding a couple of months ago. They are amazing!!! And while we were aware of their talent when we booked them, we weren’t prepared for the impact they would have on our special day.
