Juliana shot me for a creative "outdoor boudoir" sort of fashion / portraiture session in the summer of 2017. I've never felt more like my essence has been so beautifully captured. It's a remarkable feeling, one that really reinforces my efforts to feel more at peace in and proud of my body, to have someone take photos of you and for you to say "yes, that is me, that's how I really feel." In her photography and videography, I feel she really communicates who people are, how they feel, the selves we want people to see, in an authentic way. On a more technical level, I had sent her a series of inspiration photos and was amazed at how she synthesized all of the different aesthetic influences into this unique finished work - all the while it also feeling very much of the moment and of the environments we were in. She also encouraged me to take some creative licence, she welcomed ideas, improvised with ease, and I valued that creative exchange. If she can conjure up this much romance and feeling in a portraiture session with just one person, I can only imagine how evocative my someday-wedding photos would be! Juliana was really great to work with. She photographed my wedding this summer. I was planning from out of town and she was easily available by email for any of my questions. On the day of she was organized and professional, getting all of our requested shots and poses. She sent us a preview of our photos super quickly which we really appreciated. I've always admired the results and knew that if we were ever in the same place at the same time, I would ask Juliana to take my family's portrait. This summer the stars aligned and Juliana did a shoot with us on PEI. I'm very grateful that she took time out of her holiday (and away from her own family) to accommodate us. Juliana is a very professional and accommodating photographer. We were looking for a photographer at the last minute for maternity session ( my water broke and I had to stay in hospital). she is so accommodating by helping us to find a makeup and hair stylist. The photo session was longer than we planned and we felt happy and satisfied afterall. She would communicate with you throughout the session to make sure you are happy with what have been done.
