Jozef Povazan was the perfect photographer for our wedding. He is an extremely talented individual and has an immense knowledge of his craft. He is able to achieve amazing results from photos, even in imperfect conditions. He views your wedding as a story and captures organic moments as they unfold that depict the true joy present at your event. He also possesses an incredible work ethic. At our wedding, he was constantly on the move and was always looking for the perfect position to take the next set of pictures from. He was very flexible and willingly captured any requested shots. His personable nature made people relax for the more formal photos and multiple guests remarked positively on his presence. He even managed to get reluctant toddlers to sit still and smile for family photos! Yet, he is equally adept at stealthily taking shots so that you almost forget that he is there. Despite his extremely imposing schedule following our wedding, involving a significant amount of travel, he was able to have our photos ready on time and personally met with us to deliver the high-resolution photos. If you are looking for a photographer who has mastered his art and delivers an impressive product in a professional and charming manner then Jozef is the photographer for you.

We had our engagement photo shoot session with Jozef at Stanley park. He made us feel comfortable and we enjoyed every moment. Jozef prepared and processed our photos in a short time frame so we can include them in our wedding invitation card. I received an email from him with the link to our photo gallery while driving back home. We would like to thank Jozef and Maria of Povazan Photography for all their hard work to make sure that we would have beautiful memories of our wedding day lasting forever. Since we met with Jozef and Maria in March for a first discussion in their apartment we felt that we found the perfect photographers for our wedding. The price they offered us for an unlimited package with two photographers incidentally was the best we got after shopping around but this was not the reason for which we trusted them for taking our pictures. The reason was their personalities and now, three months after our big event, we still feel the same way. Jozef and Maria have the skills, the experience, the enthusiasm, the patience, the flexibility, and the energy for capturing wonderful special memories even for some exigent clients like us and our guests. When we told Jozef and Maria what we were planning to do for our special day, they accepted right away. Essentially, our wedding day plan was to start our photoshoot at 6:30 in the morning somewhere in Lions Bay, have the wedding ceremony at 9 in the morning in the same place, hike to Elfin Lakes starting at 1 in the afternoon, and have an evening party back in Lions Bay starting at 9 in the evening. On our wedding day in July the snow layer was still too thick for a non-technical Elfin Lakes hike in our wedding attire so instead we decided to take our wedding pictures on top of Whistler and Blackcomb Mountains. All in all, our unlimited wedding package started at 6:30 in the morning and finished after midnight. At midnight Jozef was still energetically asking us if we wanted any more pictures! We had a perfect day and now we have perfect memories. Thank you again Jozef and Maria! For our anniversary let us talk about going to Dolomites - hopefully the snow layer will be thinner!

Our engagement photo shoot was done in May 2018 at Stanley Park where we had beautiful weather and amazing photos; therefore were so excited to see what Jozef would do for our wedding. He was checking the weather for us daily before we flew in, informing us on which days would be best for us to do our shoot which was difficult during a stormy week. Jozef and Maria are amazing at what they do. Jozef was very personable and professional during our consultation. He listened to what I was saying and understood exactly what I wanted. On the wedding day him and Maria came to my house to take some shots of me getting ready. I have to admit I was a little nervous - being one of those people that makes silly faces and has her eyes closed in pictures most of the time- however, Jozef and Maria made me feel comfortable and assured me that they will make sure to take enough pictures to get the shots they needed. After the ceremony Jozef took us to do more creative shots. We went to gastown and he had so many great ideas but also asked me for my thoughts about locations and poses. Although my feet hurt at the end I was fairly confident that there would be some spectacular images. I was right! The next day was the reception and Jozef was meeting us before the event to do the creative shots. Although we were late - you know how things are during weddings- he was able to get some really amazing shots. At the reception he was really friendly and was able to capture lots of special moments with my friends and family. About a week after the wedding Jozef put a few images on his blog. I was stunned as to how great they were, not because I doubted his abilities but more that it was me - and I never considered myself to be photogenic. Overall, the results exceeded my expectations and would highly recommend Povazan Photography.

We had our engagement photo session with Jozef atop the Sea-To-Sky Gondola near Squamish, BC. We had a session booked in Toronto (where we are from), but on a trip out west my fiancee had arranged a surprise session with Jozef after I had remarked how scenic and beautiful our pics would have turned out if we were taking them in the mountains. He was incredibly accommodating as she was trying to hold together the surprise, and making sure the timing lined up as we drove out from Vancouver. Once I had gotten over my initial SHOCK, I found Jozef to be incredibly personable, and it was a pleasure working with him. He put us at ease right away, and was able to capture our natural interactions. Even when we were posing (based on his very clear and helpful instructions), we always felt at ease and were able to be ourselves. This really showed up in the pictures. He was able to send us some teasers very shortly, and the final gallery came out a lot quicker than we could have imagined. The pictures look amazing, and we are incredibly happy with them. A great experience and fantastic results!

What can we say about Jozef, he became apart of the family over the course of the week that he was with us for our wedding. We knew right away after meeting Jozef during our initial consultation that we wanted Jozef to capture our wedding week. We had our engagement shoot around the False Creek area in Vancouver, and the pictures turned out amazing. We ended up with amazing photos that we could not have even imagined. Following that we had our religious ceremony and wedding events in Vancouver and a beach wedding and reception in Mexico. In Vancouver we had around 450 people for 2 events and in Mexico we had 130 people for 4 events. Jozef was able to control and navigate through each event regardless of group size. This was especially impressive as he was shooting alone. Jozef was super professional, always early, stayed late and was able to capture everything and more. He was so kind and open to every guest, regardless of age, that he made everyone feel comfortable with the presence of the camera and himself. We had both traditional and western events and ceremonies and Jozef's versatility was able to capture everything. In addition, Jozef always scoped out the scene and surroundings prior to each event so he knew exactly how to navigate through, this allowed everything to run very smoothly during a very hectic time. We had so many compliments from not only our wedding party, but our family and friends as to how good Jozef was to work with. He easily accessible, he got us the images very quickly. Not only is Jozef a great photographer he is a fantastic person and we would absolutely recommend him over and over.
