I'm completely blown away by the quality of photography from these guys. Mike did my engagement shoot as well my wedding shoot while backed up by Jay. I get awkward AF in front of a camera and the result is usually less than impressive. Not so with G3. These gentleman had me so comfortable! In addition to being great at their craft they have an awesome sense of humor that reduces the tension during the shoot. Everybody that's seen my pics has been very impressed. Great customer Service, poor quality Videography and editing. As someone who went to school for photography and cinematography I expected more quality for the price. My husband and I paid 2500 for a short poorly edited cinematic wedding video which they did not let us choose the song for, had unapealing close ups of my sister and i when getting ready. They missed a few shots of certain important family members that we asked for. the unedited footage was poor, and one speech was just them filming my brother in laws shoulder. For 2500, it's more than reasonable for them to get it right especially given it took them 10 weeks to Finnish..the cinematic editing could of been done better by a cinematography student.

Let me start off by saying that my husband and I have not had the best of luck with photographers or videographers before. The people we choose for our wedding lost the pictures and never delivered the video. So when looking for a photographer for our sons baptism we were very nervous due to our previous experiences. G3 designs did a wedding we were apart of and they were so great we automatically remembered them and decided to contact them for our sons baptism. I was so happy when I found out they were available. They did an AMAZING job!! Responded in a timely manner, fair pricing, on the day of the event Mike helped direct a feisty family and delivered the pictures exactly when he said he would. Mike and Jay both showed up to the locations arranged for the day on time, professional, and ready to work. We first met mike and jay at a wedding show back in early 2018 and I knew I wanted them to capture our wedding. We had a nice meeting here at our place to go over our needs and signed with G3 immediately. I was impressed with Mikes work quality and didn’t even meet with anyone else. I could see the difference in his photos compared to other local wedding photographers. We arranged an engagement session that happened to turn in to a pregnancy announcement shoot as well. We knew when we received the photos that we had made the right choice. Our wedding was a very important day in our lives and I am so excited to see Mikes work so we can relive our wedding day any time we wish through the images he captured for us. All of our guest loves that Mike and Jay felt like guests and were a part of the day with us from morning till night. We never once felt bossed around or annoyed by the million photos - our day was pretty laid back and pressure free And that was a lot to do with how G3 made us feel.

If I could give no stars I would our wedding was in September of 2017.. we had engagement shot but it was more like family photos nothing like engagement none of my ring I also asked for willow trees and he brought us to JC park it only has one drying willow tree. For those photos we got to pick out 30ish photos to get edited I was ok with them thinking that's how the wedding photos would be like in contact we had 200 to pick from he didn't even let us pick the ones we wanted done he said he was doing them all over 2000 photos only 5-10 has bin so called edtied with black and White look i don't like that look and I asked for the few he did to be in the original format well it's almost 2019 and still no word on when we will be getting them.. iv called text sent Facebook messages emails and still nothing back from him on getting the original.. their was a special champion photo he was supposed to get my husband said let's do it over the grassy area Mike then said no it's already set up this way the background will be blacked out so I said ok lets go ahead when we got the photos you can see the bulidings in the background and it doesn't look nice at all also none of the photos he gave us has his mark on it so that provides to me he didn't care to take our photos nore care to actually edit them keep in mind when we signed our contact Mike had a different logo I asked since we signed then if we could keep his first logo he didn't mind. Alos he didn't even stay the hole night like agreed he left just after 11pm missed alot of good photos of our Big Day and he told us his second photographer was experience come to find out it's a new guys first day doing Weddings in our videos they kept going in front of the camera guy during big moment not professional if i can attach some photos to this I will otherwise if you want to see the bad photos I'll be more then willing to share them with you.. I will never tell anyone to us this service ever and I'll be sure to tell them to never use him and Mike if your reading this witch I hope you are I'll be keeping this up here if you want to finally get back to me and give me my original photos properly I'll be glad to change the rating and keep things out but untill then it's staying up cuz it's the truth.. I hope this helps people out before making the same mistake I did by choosing this company to take our wedding photos..

First of all, I’d just like to say that upon coming here to leave my positive review. I noticed a bunch of people trying to slander a good guy (and his companies name) — but you can tell what’s being done here as all the negative comments are all posted around the same time and all have the same story line. It’s unfortunate that people would go to such lengths to try and hurt someone’s business! That being said, it’s going to be awfully hard to do! The reputation that mike and jay (G3 designs) have in niagara region is far too good to be slandered by some people with a bad attitude! Mike is very very passionate about his craft, his final products are always flawless. The photos he’s done for my friends weddings and any other time of photo shoot are always beyond expectation. It shows in his work! He’s professional, kind hearted, fun, easy to work with, and genuinely cares — he really works with you. His prices are fair. The inside of his studio in St. Catharines is beautiful and clean! I would definitely hands down recommend him and his team for any kind of project in need of a camera and a gifted photographer/videographer. His team is just as lovely and just as talented. True professionals in every way.

Mike goes over and above to capture momments at every angle, brings equipment and his crew to you and shares his experiences and world with you while there. For anyone looking to hire a photographer and videographer for an elopement wedding look no further. Our wedding was done last minute during pandemic. We were very nervous about who we hired as time was of essence and being a perfectionist did not make it any easier in my search for the right team to make our special day memorable. After interviewing 10 studios in the Niagara Region, we decided to hire Mike and his team (Jay and Erin). From our initial interaction, i knew they were the one. Mike responded to my inquiries immediately. I was very specific of our expectations and they to say the least outperformed our vision. They made our special day simply flawless. Erin was there to help with all the accessories i brought for the shoot and to create a fun and romantic atmosphere. She also suggested locations for our shoots and adjusted my dress to ensure everything was picture perfect. Jay was absolutely out of this world. DO NOT use these guys!! They take sub par photos and charge a ridiculous amount of money for photos and a video that’s like 3 mins long. They promise to capture your day so you can have your memories to look back on but they don’t!! And then when you question them on it they say it isn’t included in your package, when it clearly is, and have the nerve to say you can have the photos and video if you pay an extra $2000!!! Very unprofessional! Run far away from these scam artists!!!

Definitely a one-stop-shop for all of your visual production needs, or if you're looking for a studio location for your own shoots, it's available to rent out for the day! We hired G3 design to do our wedding this past weekend. They did an all around amazing job, they're super easy to work with and will go with just about anything you throw at them. Mike and Jay both knew how to be In the right place at the right time to capture the moment, and oh boy, did they do it beautifully. The cigar and silhouette shots mike took blew me away. I especially liked how they got my son involved whenever they could and even got him to take a few photos with the camera!(kid might have a future) These guys hit it out of the park. I wasn’t going to post anything! I was giving g3 the chance to turn the situation around, however it was not! Rather my messages being ignored. So I have to say first off that I booked g3 because I seen the work this company has done for my friends and other events. I was pleased with the work and with being on a budget for our wedding the ONE thing I didn’t want to cheap out on was our photos and video because that is all you have left in the end! The day went good, when I got my pictures there’s were a few things I didn’t care for but we can’t go back on the day... I feel like a lot of our photos are candid and the photos of me and my husband are all in a distance and none, not one of just the 2 of us showing our faces. Mike has asked me to give him a list of must haves.. I knew he seemed very knowledgeable and creative so I only gave him 3 must haves and left the rest to the professional. However it wasn’t creative. All poses are the same as everyone’s else on his website. There was no creativity it was like a routine photo shoot for them I think. The one photo I had my heart set on was the spraying of the champagne. It did not turn out the best because of the lighting on the building in the back ground. Which 1 of 3 professionals should have noticed. Yes I paid for 2 photographers and a videographer through G3. My husbands shirt after dinner in all photos is untucked and looks so sloppy in photos. Something 1 of 3 professionals also should have caught. My main issue though is my video! I am so upset and disappointed. I tried talking to mike about how I felt about this but I got no where! I paid almost 4,000 in total to g3 and when I asked where the raw footage of my day was I was told it would cost me another $2,000 that the videography cost is ONLY for your 6min 50 second video. ???? I am so upset that I will not be able to see my day unfold! I told mike that if I knew that then I would have had a friend record with their phone even the important parts of our day! My 6min video was nice BUT I want to see me walking down the isle... I want to hear our vows!!! I want to see our entry into the hall and the wedding party entry!!! I want to hear my brother in law and nieces speeches!! I want to see our first dance!!! So devastated knowing unless I pay another 2,000 I won’t see this footage!! I feel like I was ripped off!!! I was told by others that I was... that I should be entitled to our footage! And yes they have it.. they were new at selling videography packages when I got it so there was no contract stating what was or wasn’t included I just assumed for that price it was NOT just a 6min 50 sec video. Which could have had MORE of my wedding day and less of the port Colborne scenery! You can see the video on you tube under Jim & brandys wedding. I had a lot of comments some good, some wondering if my husband works for the locks in port Colborne because of all the footage of Port Colborne! No he doesn’t work for the locks. I just want to leave this review so people are aware of this and don’t end up going through this same situation! Go with a company that provides you with your video of your important parts to your wedding... I will leave this review up unless G3 comes to terms with handing over my raw footage! If you can read this review then that means it was not resolved!

Mike was amazing through this whole process. Through the meetings, emails and calls, he never flinched, a true professional and extremely innovative. We selected Diamond package and were very happy. In comparing G3 to others, you can quickly identify they provide the most quality photos for the price. From the moment Mike walks in the door, he makes you feel comfortable and brings lots of laughs and fun. He helps remind you of timelines and also is flexible and focused on your suggestions. I will never get married again but if I did, G3 would be my photographer.

After seeing the work posted to this companies private page, I was so excited to see my sisters video and photos. Boy, what a disappointment that was! They did not give her all of her *10 hours of inclusive video* only a 6.5 minute video which, honestly was more than half of random scenery of the city she got married in. She had 2 of their photographers as well, so figured wow, they will get some great shots.. The album is terrible. Highly unprofessional to include single shots taken of yourself and the crew in the bride and grooms edited album. Go ahead, ask G3 to see the gallery of this wedding, and decide for yourself. 1 star is generous, too bad google doesn't leave an option to leave negative stars! Hobby photographers portraying themselves as professionals. Some of the images posted on google and their FB page do not represent what you will actually receive. They must be styled shoots and are portrayed as authentic wedding shots. So many new and hobby photographers do this these days to get clients and it is no different than with G3 Designs. Poor lighting, bad editing, no composition and under exposed images is what you will receive. Think twice about booking them for your wedding or event. If you prefer sub par quality and paying professional prices, then these are your guys! If you want quality photos and video, look elsewhere for a more experienced and reputable photography company! IN RESPONSE TO OWNERS COMMENTS: Correct, my future husband and I decided NOT to book with your company as we do not like your work after reviewing photos on FB and your website. In addition, we found you to be rude and arrogant. I am sorry our honest opinion is considered slanderous to you. If you cannot accept the truth, then we suggest to change our arrogant attitude towards potential clients. Futhermore, its a bit suspicious how there are suddenly loads of 5 star reviews on google. Would really question the authenticity of the influx of the 5 star reviews!
