Jarrod is an absolute gem. Having a kind, generous and well communicative studio host is such an incredible help and such a bonus when renting a space you've never used before. You are in very good hands in his studio. The whole process was very easy from the initial walk-thru, to the booking, to meeting him on site on the shoot day. He even allowed me to load in the night before saving me the added time in the morning! Didn't charge me any additional time and even helped carry some of my gear! He's a photographer who understands the needed load in/ load out added time ! The space itself is large, (had a 6 light set up), it's well lit facing east for alternate natural lighting, and he's got everything you need that will save you an additional trip- wardrobe rack, fan, seamless options, tables, water bottles, makeup vanity, borrowed his V-flat, wifi, couch area, and is very well cleaned. If you're doing a shoot in New West, be sure to support Jarrod and his studio, it's the space for you !

I've booked this studio twice now and will be doing again. this is a bright open studio with opportunity for different looks with numerous backgrounds. there's lots of natural light so flash isn't always required. The owner (Jarrod) is great to work with and very generous with time, a half hour for setup and teardown is a huge bonus. Looking forward to shooting here again.

Words cannot express how happy I am that this amazing space is just blocks away from my home. Located in Downtown, New Westminster this studio gives you everything that you (a photographer) may possibly need. Bright and spacious, multiple backdrops, different shooting scenes, V flats, large windows, props, wardrobe and even the ability to rent out equipment for the day if you forget something at home. All this for an unbelievable hourly price. Plus, Jarrod (the owner) is extremely accommodating, polite and easy to communicate with. Seriously, what more can you ask for? EASY 5 STARS!!!

What a find! In a time when most studios need to close this hidden gem in downtown New Westminster will thrive thanks to the hard work of proprietor, Jarrod McKenna, and his husband, Jacob. The studio is meticulously maintained, bright and clean and provides everything any photographer needs, may they be amateur or professional. I am excited to be a part of the studio and cant wait to see what the future holds artistically!!!

I needed a studio for a shoot and decided to try New West photography Studio In New Westminster. Sent a email requesting availability and rate's and to my pleasant surprise was answered with in fifteen minutes. On short notice ,needing it on Friday night ,Jarrod was most helpful and accommodating and the arrangements were done including some setup and teardown time. The studio itself was big bright and large. Lots of room for gear and wardrobe. Jarrod had many good quality backgrounds as well as window light. The shoot was great. A big thank you to Jarrod and New West Photography Studio. And yes the rating is a well deserved 5 star. I have no hesitations recommending it and will use it again. Best Regards Gary Keay

The place is very clean, organize, and the host is very accommodating and friendly. There are plenty of parking space around the area. The studio is NOT small, you can shoot 2 photographers at the same time in this studio. Backdrops are provided (Gray, Black and White), plus there are other wall printed backdrops too. Ambient light is insanely perfect, so if you don't have speedlight or strobe, natural light will do the work. There is a spot for the models to change outfit in private, plus hair and makeup area as well. This Photography Studio is top notch! I will definitely come back here again.

Very convenient location with lots of parking around, The place is always clean and sanitized and the vibrance will take you to the heights of creativity. Not a easy find at all. I went for a sitting in Jarrod McKenna's Studio. Aside from the wonderful experience with him, I found the studio stunning. It is large and very bright ! The scenery of the river outside the full wall of windows is gorgeous ! there is a small kitchen for comforts of snacks and tea, for me ! it was very clean as well ! A delight to be in !!
