I am so glad I did my boudoir photos with Oceanside Portraits. Meaghan made me feel so comfortable and was really great with helping me pose, telling me what looked good and what little changes needed to be made in my stance and similar things. I am in no way a model, so I was a little nervous when I showed up to shoot, but that immediately changed to excitement when we started to shoot. I came to Meaghan for some "natural ...but not TOO natural, and professional...but not STIFF " photos - whatever all THAT might be! Meaghan made me feel completely at ease, and when I described the type of photos I wanted, she listened fully and asked me a couple of questions, and then just got started. I was unsure if she was really getting what I wanted as it seemed so relaxed and easy, and so I was so happily delighted when I saw the pictures - they were everything and MORE than I could have hoped for - accessible, open, contemporary - and also professional . Just exactly what I wanted - nothing stiff or false. First time I talked to her on phone (we are out of town, we couldn't meet her till few days before wedding), I knew she is trustworthy and she is our photographer. Weddings can be highly stressful but choosing your wedding photographer shouldn’t be part of the stress! My husband and I are so happy we found Meaghan to photograph our wedding. We chose Meaghan for her unique ability to truly capture magnetic shots, evident in her portfolio. We did not want all our pictures to be formal and posed, we wanted the fun and excitement at the core of our relationship to be reflected in the photographs. Meaghan seamlessly blended “classic” wedding pictures with candid photos highlighting our emotions throughout the day! From the initial consult through to our album design she was wonderful every step of the way. She is energetic, attentive, friendly and positive; attributes that really placed us at ease throughout the process. Our engagement photos were striking, so much so that we used them on our wedding invitations! My husband and I had a rehearsal dinner that celebrated his culture and Meaghan was there to capture all the highlights! Her fantastic shots of our families and friends getting to know one another have created everlasting memories. On the day of our wedding she easily handled the various locations and lighting challenges (hair studio, hotel rooms, outside ceremony, indoor reception). We had a large bridal party (twelve in total) but Meaghan was able to skillfully use an impromptu shooting location to produce stunning group shots. Even with the threat of rain on the morning of our wedding I felt assured in her professionalism and talent that indoor photos would be just as fine as well! Getting a custom photo album designed by Meaghan is a MUST, ours is exceptional and will be forever cherished. She made the design process so easy. She offers other unique products as well, either as keepsakes for yourselves or gifts to thank those that helped with your day! Meaghan truly feels like part of the family after our wedding weekend and I would not hesitate to recommend her to photograph any special occasion.
