Nice people. I bought an expensive Canon Vixia G40 from them (they were price-competitive). It was a bit noisy when zooming - not their fault. They exchanged it with no hassle. The replacement is noiseless so I'm happy. If I had ordered online, sorting out the problem would have been a protracted, painful process - not so with Ivan's so give them your business.

Never responded to emails I sent asking about stock, was finally told after I called they had something I wanted in the store, got up there and was told they could order it for me. Not impressed after driving for over an hour and a half to get there.

Knowledgable staff but like all places sell some cheep items. 1. My tripod fell apart after just a few uses. They did give me a full refund. 2. My canon camera bag the bottom zipper caught the lining and made a hole in the lining. I lost an expensive sd card. Ivan's replaced the bag but not the sd card. 3. I bought a lens cap that was garbage. It broke while in the camera bag and rubbed up against the lens and scratched the lens. Not sure what they are going to do about that. The point is I hate buying junk and it seems like you have to watch what you buy there. I gave them a 4 because they replaced the items that broke so far but now sure if they are going to fix my lens. I always ask before I bought the mentioned items, did you have trouble with this item ...they said no but I am not sure if that was entirely true. Did I mention I bought my 1700 camera in June so I am disappointed that the lens is now scratched because a a garbage lens cap.

They have the photo center. If you need photos for your passport or PR card, I highly recommend this place. I paid 20$ for 2 photos and got them right away. I used to go Walmart photo center, but after visiting this place, no longer on my list.

The most helpful camera store around. My girlfriend and I took film in to be developed, and asked a few questions about our film cameras. We were not only given a bunch of helpful information, but also had our repairs figured out in a flash. I will definitely only be going here from now on!

Kind employees and tons of variety of dlsr, compact cameras, camcorders etc. My problems are that the accessories are to expensive, $350 for a ring light? No thanks. Not that much variety in the mics also. The only dlsr camera companies I could find was Nikon, Sony and Canon. Other than that it’s great.

Follow up to my original review: Have made several purchases over the last few months and am still quite pleased with the service I've received. As far as pricing goes... as part of the fotosource group of camera shops their prices on larger items seem to track in step with the larger online stores. Well worth supporting your local camera shop, especially if pricing is the same.

I very much wanted to buy my camera here when it came time to replace my Pentax DSLR. On my first purchase (in 2006), the experience was wonderful, they had the camera we wanted in stock, and the staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. I realise that my brand of choice is kind of on the obscure side, but they no longer stock it and their pricing was considerably higher than available quicker elsewhere. I feel that if I owned a Nikon or Canon that my experience would be different. The staff was still friendly, at least.

Staff are ok but, unfortunetly the products they sell are not always top notch. Purchased the Nikon P1000 brand new from here and within no time had issues with camera. I had another p1000 in at time for comparison and you could definetly noticed difference in lens not being loose like mine. Drove about an hour to send to Nikon for warranty about 3 weeks later camera came back NO PROBLEM FOUND just like clerk said it would. I realize it's not 100% stores fault but, they need to work together with Nikon, customer and themselves to stand behind what they are selliing in order to keep customers happy. I will again have to drive another hour to send it off as nothing has improved except the weather which makes for an easier safer drive. PS should of never jumped shipped from Canon to nikon as had the powershot Sx65 since first came out never an issue but, Canon was sitting on fence and not coming out with longer reach and still hasn't to date...Canon made me switch ????

Searched NONSTOP for projector lamp bulbs for an overhead projector (retroprojecteur) and couldn't find them. After spending 50$ on an amazon order that never arrived I started panic calling all of the lighting stores in moncton - one of them said I should stop wasting my time and give Ivan's a call. Within 10 minutes I had called, they checked the stock and have two bulbs set aside for me.

Left our camera's battery charger in Rochester, NY. Remembered this in Bangor, Maine. There was no help to be found in Bangor. We were at the start of a 3 week vacation to Newfoundland. Thought we would have to backtrack to Portland, Maine but looked online and found Ivan's store in Moncton, NB. Sent an email asking for HELP and Ivan replied that evening that he would look first thing the next morning. We called the next day and found he had a charger but would closed on Sunday when we would be driving through Moncton. Rather than make us wait until Monday, Ivan arranged to have the charger left with people who work in a diner across the street from his store. Ivan's outstanding customer service allowed us to stay on schedule and I think of him everytime I enjoy the many pictures we took while on vacation. Highly recommend this store!!
